Chapter 4: A New World!!
"A Moon fragment..." Hael mumbled in shock, bubbles spilling out of his mouth as he looked at the half-moon-shaped crystal in front of him. It was an object that wasn't meant to be, a discovery which seemingly made all his knowledge of the world's history go to waste.
He knew well there were only four moon fragments present in this world, and each moon fragment was kept and safely guarded by the four kingdoms of Aetheria.
It had never been heard of before any of the kingdoms fighting to possess a moon fragment, as that would lead to a war tearing Atheria into different pieces.
The moon fragments were the source of power of each dynasty, blessing them with unique and unchanging weather conditions.
The Winterfall dynasty possessed one of the moon fragments, granting them the power of magical petals and blessing them with the season of winter.
Their magic petals gave them access to learning more than one element, based on the number of petals they had awakened.
His father, Vuernech, had awakened the five petals, therefore able to control a total of five elements. Since he was blessed with nine petals, then Hael would be able to learn a total of nine elements, something unheard of in the history of the Winterfall dynasty.
That was why his brothers had tried to get rid of him.
But right now, before his very eyes, lay a moon petal blinking with an otherworldly light that illuminated his burnt skin.
Reflexively, Hael stretched out his hands towards the moon petal, and strangely enough, the gigantic crystal suddenly began reducing in size until it became a very tiny crystalline stone and gently nested in his palms.
"You really are real..." Hael mused, much to his surprise, seeing the vortex suddenly beginning to revolve.
But the person in front of him was actually a very pretty female around 20 years of age with very long crystalline blue hair and eyes, almost like the color of his hair and eyes also, except her blue was strangely shinier.
Right now, she was dressed in the same incredibly tight-looking armor, and her eyes almost spitted flames as she looked at Hael, just a few seconds from tearing him into pieces.
"Get to that room, kid, and don some clothes. And when you're done, get into that metal bag and carry the biggest gun there is. Because lucky you, I'm gonna be making sure your sorry ass is at the frontlines in this bloody war!" She said every word loud and clear and without daring a single more second.
Hael's legs automatically dragged him to the room that was pointed to by the lady as Aeris looked at the young man, shaking her head in disbelief.
"Just who the hell put a kiddo in?"
------
Opening up the metallic door, Hael's eyes couldn't help but narrow as he felt the strange material. It looked metallic, just like what was used to make their sword, yet it was different at the same time.
Entering the room, he could see there were more than a door into it, and he could see young men just slightly older than him walking to the glass door where different shoes were placed.
Immediately, he watched as they carried a shoe off the rack, and in the next second, they put one on. Hale watched something he had never seen before...
The machine came to life and suddenly began coating their entire bodies, and soon they were donning the same armor that those people he saw running outside were wearing...
"What...what type of magic is this!!?" Hael roared out in disbelieve.
