43 A Twisted Surgeon Jessica
None of them could believe their ears. They were losing the young man, yet Surgeon Jessica said to continue the operation which would no doubt result in his death.
"I said continue the operation!" Captain Jessica repeated as the doctors' hands all twitched before the holographic image suddenly froze in a space-time stop.
"I... I can't," a doctor in charge of the leading holograph finally said as he withdrew his hands from the holographic display.
They were Cybernetic Transfusion doctors, a profession where their hands were drenched in the blood of innocent souls.
But still, they had all been able to keep the remnants of guilt away from their minds and continue the job due to the fact that they kept well; the death wasn't fully in their hands, and in every scenario, they had always done their best to preserve the lives of their patients.
That was what stopped their consciences from labeling them as murderers.
But right now, they had the opportunity to save the young man's life by stopping the operation. Yet they were told by the leading surgeon to continue the operation, which would no doubt result in the young man's death.
That is true murder, something their consciences couldn't stand, and one by one, they all retreated from the machine. But in the next second...
KABOOOOOM!
A devastating shockwave rippled throughout the entire lab, and a figure was immediately blown away and smashed into the wall, his body nailed onto the gigantic pothole that was dug into it.
Looking at the sorry figure, it was none other than the male doctor who had refused to press the button.
And someone slowly lowered her hand as she took the man's place and began rapidly typing on his holographic display.
Someone none other than Surgeon Jessica!
"You all get out of this room. According to Code 7 of the Cybernetic Doctor's band, you all are now prone to making emotional decisions which are capable of putting the mission at risk and therefore can be evicted by the leading surgeon's orders.
[Error, Mana Not Enough to return Host's DNA to stability!]
[Congratulations, the Infinity Guardian Bloodline Has been Aroused!]
[Magnifier Has Been Activated!]
[Host's Mana quantity and quality has been doubled by two.]
[Congratulations, Host regeneration is enough for the fusion of the source.]
[Host's DNA is being rapidly healed, and new spaces for more acceptance of The Foreign Material Has Been Created!]
"Congratulations, the Second step has been completed. Cybernetic Transfusion has been successfully transplanted!" The AI voice rang out through the room as Surgeon Jessica's eyes widened in shock before they furrowed.
"No. No. This is wrong. His DNA was on the verge of collapse, while there exists a 20% chance of survival, their recovery shouldn't be so fast.
An outer source has intervened!!!" She determined, her hands rapidly typing away at the keyboard to quickly try finding the source of the intervention, but she stopped in less than three seconds and coldly ordered.
"Begin Third step. Power Core Transplantation to power the Cybernetics Fusion!" She ordered the AI as she abandoned her former quest born out of curiosity and quickly focused back on the mission.
And not wasting a second more, a gigantic box was carried from underneath the glass coffin that Hael was placed in as the machine arms rapidly unfurled the box, bringing out a simple crystal.
It was a diamond-shaped crystal, just a little larger than a table tennis egg, and within it was a strange revolving astral blue electricity that crackled within it.
"A one in one Cyber energy core that can rival the power of a third-grade core Cybernetic Expert and with enough energy to power an entire city for five years! My life's greatest invention. You really owe me a lot, Aelia. A lot!!!" Surgeon Jessica murmured, even though her eyes only shined even brighter as she gave away one of her life's greatest works to an absolute stranger.
Immediately, a hole was opened up in the glass, followed by a Cybernetic arm equipped with a flaming red knife tearing open a hole just beside Hael's heart, and slowly the core was inserted into the space.
"Now, there are only two choices, survive the Core's power-up, or be blown into dust by the massive amount of energy contained within!" Surgeon Jessica said, with a smile of madness as her hands gently tapped on a red button that had appeared on the holograph in front of her...
