45 Captain Aelia's Hate
The place where she had led him was none other than the dining room, and Hael wasn't the least bit inclined to complain at all as he looked at the array of food, which was steaming hot.
"Nice..." Hael said out loud, but his face contorted just before he dived in, and he turned to look at Captain Aelia.
"What?" she asked as Hael turned his attention to the food. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"You said I have been asleep for four days. Then how did you prepare this so that it is still steaming now?" he asked as she shrugged.
"Jessica told me three to five days. All I did was make sure to simply cook fresh food each day. Seems it was worth it," she said as Hael smiled, before quickly diving in.
"So, willing to talk about the fusion? Your experience..." Captain Aelia asked, as Hael's hands stopped just before his mouth. The memories of what had occurred entered his head, causing his heart to lurch within his chest.
"I would rather keep that as my own personal nightmare," Hael replied as Captain Aelia grinned evilly.
"She said you even had enough energy to break out of the glass after your fusion. That's some serious energy," Captain Aelia said, as Hael's face dropped.
"Was that all she said, though?" he asked as Captain Aelia gave a nod.
"Yes. You have quite the abnormal energy and willpower to be able to do that. Also, I now owe her big time," she said as he raised an eyebrow.
"For what?"
"For that," she said, pointing at him. Hael turned to where she was pointing and noted it was none other than the core.
"Yes. I heard her say it was her life's greatest creation and could rival that of a third-grade cybernetic fighter's core."
"You were even fully conscious through the ordeal!?" Captain Aelia asked, and Hael gave a nod.
"Of course, I can't sleep off and leave my fate to a psycho like that!" Hael replied as Captain Aelia giggled.
"Well, she definitely has to have the biggest heart among the psychos you have seen," she replied as Hael snorted.
"So, what does the core do? Hold energy for the cybernetics?" he asked, and Captain Aelia gave a nod.
"True. It holds an almost inexhaustible amount of energy that can't be fully used at a single time. Only around 1% is available for you right now. The more your body adapts, the more you gain access to," she explained. "The grade of the core matters. A good core is judged based on the total amount of energy present in it. That is called the Potential Value. The second most important factor is the core's replenish time. The faster, the better. As for your core, it is around three times better than the best core possible."
