Book 3: Chapter 12: Sleep Together?
Jeanne d’Arc Alter did not know what Chen Heng was thinking. However, when she thought about how this lousy thing in her hand was worth 500 snack boxes, she felt the Poké Ball seller was shady.
Not to mention 500 snack boxes, if you just took out 20, I would leave with you. Do you even need this thing?
She had not considered how difficult it was to bring someone across worlds. Could snack boxes compare to that?
“I’ll return to my room first, then. You should familiarize yourself with this place. Also, eat as many snacks as you want, and tell me when you’ve finished them.”
Chen Heng’s heart twinged at not being able to tell the truth. There was probably a law that made cheating the stupid illegal, right?
After Chen Heng returned to his room, he continued looking through Reincarnator 9527’s portable spatial storage for good treasures.
“Damn! Is this a sniper rifle or a cannon?” Chen Heng took out an oversized sniper rifle from the storage space. This thing was about two meters long, much longer than those from the American company Barrett. This should be a weapon used together with that reincarnator’s Skilled Firearm Proficiency.
However, this weapon was less convenient than directly using an ability. This was probably why that reincarnator did not use this sniper rifle when fighting Chen Heng.
Furthermore, Chen Heng did not know how to use guns.
“Perhaps I can test the power of this gun. Its offensive power might surprise me.” Since this sniper rifle came from the Host God Space, Chen Heng had no idea how powerful this sniper rifle was.
Although he did not know how powerful this gun was, it looked awesome—very overbearing—so he liked it.
Mechas were a man’s romance. Although there was no mecha, this sniper rifle could make up for it. A true man should love large cannons. Firepower was righteousness.
Furthermore, if he used this when fighting others, sniping them from afar, the enemy might think he relied on guns. This would lure the enemy into getting close. Then...
Thinking this, Chen Heng made a decision. If this gun was not as powerful as he thought, he would invest some points to strengthen it. Simultaneously, he would buy a gun proficiency skill.
Besides this gun, there were many other military weapons: hand grenades, mines, rocket launchers, handguns, assault rifles, submachine guns, RPGs, all-terrain vehicles, and even a tank. How excessive! Was this fellow planning on fighting a war?
There were also many daily necessities, like water, military rations, clothes, energy bars, oxygen tanks, diving suits, and so on.
The portable spatial storage also contained several strange tools. Chen Heng recognized the Bamboo Copter from Doraemon, the t-Virus and blood serum from Resident Evil, what clearly were talismans and divination compasses Chinese cultivators used, something that looked like the Green Goblin’s Goblin Glider from Spiderman, and many others.
“Never mind. I’ll stop thinking about it. I should get Jeanne d’Arc Alter a legal identity for this world.” Since Jeanne d’Arc Alter would remain out of the Poké Ball most of the time, she would encounter outsiders. A legal identity would be important at such times.
Hence, Chen Heng spent 300 points on this service.
Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s situation differed from Sirin’s. Sirin had a temporary legal identity, fluent Mandarin knowledge, and some other knowledge. However, Jeanne d’Arc Alter was different. Chen Heng bought her a permanent legal identity for this world.
This should have cost 500 points, but Jeanne d’Arc Alter had knowledge from the Holy Grail, so he saved on fluent Mandarin knowledge.
Furthermore, Sirin’s temporary legal identity would lose effect one month later, when she returned to the Honkai Impact 3rd’s world. The same went for the fluent Mandarin knowledge.
Knock-knock-knock! Knock-knock-knock! Rapping came from the door just as Chen Heng finished purchasing the legal identity for Jeanne d’Arc Alter.
“Come in.” Chen Heng did not know whether it was Sirin or Jeanne d’Arc Alter.
“Elder Brother, you are back? You weren’t around when I looked earlier.” The door opened, and Sirin’s cute head peeked in.
“I just returned. What’s wrong? Is something up?” Chen Heng patted Sirin’s head after she walked over. Her hair felt nice to touch.
“There’s thunder; I’m a little afraid.” Sirin narrowed her eyes, enjoying Chen Heng’s head pats as she explained why she came over.
“Ah! This...” Chen Heng did not expect this reason.
“There was thunder earlier, but when I came to find Elder Brother, you were not in your room.” Sirin hugged his waist and even buried her head in his chest.
“...” Chen Heng could not say he caused the earlier thunder, right?
“Then, Sirin, do you want to sleep with me?”
“May I?”
“Of course you may.”
Then Chen Heng regretted it....
