Book 5: Chapter 19: Workaholic Gil
When Customer Service coaxed Chen Heng to return quickly to his world, Customer Service had said something that moved Chen Heng.
Back then, Customer Service said the Re:Life Chat Group, as a nonofficial organization, could casually send people to other worlds. Of course, if one caused trouble in that world, the Dimension Administrators Association would have to take action. If the troublemaker were someone weaker and that world had an executor, Chen Heng and the others might not even need to intervene.
Chen Heng did not finalize his decision because of this. After all, he no longer fully trusted these unreliable people after Alaya’s half-price discount card; this included the other world consciousnesses and Customer Service.
They would not deduct the reward, and the results would be equivalent. However, the process would be vastly different.
This was especially so when Chen Heng wanted 1,000,000 points and ten association invitation letters, so he felt extremely worried.
After all, he had extorted them for this. Furthermore, his ancestor was currently negotiating compensation with the Multidimensional World Consciousness Conference. He feared they would play tricks.
Perhaps there would be another seven days after the initial seven days, then another seven more days after that.
When Chen Heng thought of this, he recalled he was a student about to take the college entrance exams. Although he had already checked using the Absolute Precognition, given how damaged it was back then, he decided to check again. Otherwise, what would he do if something went wrong?
Chen Heng activated the Absolute Precognition and looked at the questions. At the very least, the damaged Absolute Precognition had worked properly in this aspect; the questions had not changed.Updated from novelbIn.(c)om
This made sense. All the people with cheats, including himself, who could kick up a butterfly effect, only appeared recently. The college entrance exam questions were isolated from their activities, so those should remain unchanged. This was good, very good indeed.
Speaking of which, does everyone still recall the wager between Chen Heng and Mo Qingtong?
After Chen Heng carried Sirin to her room, he did not leave. Instead, he moved a recliner over and sat next to her bed.
He had only used a technique for mild sleep. Furthermore, it was still morning. He believed Sirin would wake up soon.
To give Sirin some assurance and comfort, he decided to wait for her to wake up.
Then Chen Heng got his face slapped again. He ended up waiting from ten in the morning to four in the afternoon. Even so, she still had not woken up.
Speaking of which, he could already see the past clearly with the Absolute Precognition after two ability awakenings. The past did not just refer to his past. After seeing the appearance of another person, he could see their past or future.
The past could not be changed, but there were many choices for the future. Chen Heng felt extremely satisfied with this ability.
“It’s a deal, then. Elder Brother, if I return to my original world for some reason, you must come for me.” Sirin still did not let go of Chen Heng’s hand.
“Don’t worry. Why would Elder Brother lie to you? So, Sirin, do you want to sleep more?”
“No need. What time is it now?”
“It’s four in the afternoon. You slept for six hours. Did you stay up last night?”
“Ah! I did stay up last night.” Sirin did not make excuses. Instead, she brought Chen Heng’s hand to her face and rubbed her cheek on his palm.
“What do you want to do now? Do you want to go downstairs?”
“I don’t want to go downstairs. Elder Brother, can you accompany me for a while longer?”
“Sure.” Chen Heng dotingly used his other hand to tidy Sirin’s hair. Sirin did not have a good sleeping posture.
Sirin did not answer. Instead, she pulled Chen Heng’s hand to her chin. Then she stared at him.
Although Chen Heng liked Sirin, being stared at like this was a bit much.
Ding! Welcome, Workaholic Gil, to the association!
Ah, this...
No matter who this display name referred to, Chen Heng could sense the malice in the naming.
