Book 6: Chapter 58:2: Fifty-Fifty Split of the Giant Toads with Saitama, Part 2

Once Kato Megumi had distanced herself from the approaching Giant Toads, the teams wizard, Umaru-chan, and arch wizard, Luo Li, launched their magic attacks. Before this, Jeanne dArc, functioning as an arch priest, had already cast a buff that increased their attack power.nove(l)bi(n.)com

First, Umaru-chan cast a water magic spell with a much larger range than usual, thanks to her enhanced abilities, or at least that was what she understood.

Then, when the Giant Toads entered the pool the water spell created, Luo Li unleashed an ice ring spell that froze the water, trapping their legs.

Some of the unfortunate Giant Toads, already injured by Sirins attack on their legs, had their legs torn off due to their forward momentum, and they fell hard on the ice.

The remaining Giant Toads with relatively intact legs struggled to move, but they faced a barrage of attacks from Umaru-chans five consecutive fireballs, Luo Lis explosion magic, and Sirins Subspace Lances.

Chen Heng noticed that Umaru-chan, Sirin, and Luo Li all strangely seemed to overlook one Giant Toad. This particular Giant Toad had received some minor injuries, but it wasnt severely damaged. Surprisingly, this Giant Toad became even angrier and sprinted toward the group after being attacked.

Initially, Chen Heng intended to deal with this Giant Toad himself, but to his surprise, Saitama took up a fighting stance, appearing to wait enthusiastically for the Giant Toad to approach. Now, Chen Heng understood why they all seemed to ignore this Giant Toadit was clearly a punching bag for Saitama.

Out of the 12 Giant Toads, Umaru-chan, Luo Li, and Sirin, working together, had eliminated all but one. This one Giant Toad was evidently designated for Saitama to enjoy. The battle between Saitama and the Giant Toad was obviously one-sided.

These two were not in the same league. Saitamas single punch sent the Giant Toad flying about five meters away, but the Giant Toad rolled over and charged at Saitama once more, as if nothing had happened.

At this point, Chen Heng descended from the tree and joined the others to watch the battle between Saitama and the Giant Toad.

Alright, lets go!

What followed involved Chen Heng using the Electromagnetic Star Sniper Rifles built-in scope to scan for targets from the air. Sage Megumi would then lure the monsters, including Giant Toads and other low-level monsters, to them.

Axel was essentially a newbie village, so the surrounding monsters were not high-level. However, because of this, the adventurers levels werent high, either, resulting in decent earnings for defeating these creatures. The bounty for a Giant Toad was 5,000 erisand that didnt even include the profit from selling Giant Toad meat.

So, Chen Heng was quite enthusiastic about hunting Giant Toads.

Theyre coming. Here comes the wave of monsters, Chen Heng said as he spotted a group chasing Kato Megumi in the distance.

This time, Kato Megumi had lured not only Giant Toads but also several rabbit-like monsters and lizard-shaped monsters. There seemed to be a horde this time.

To ease the burden on the wizards, Chen Heng stood on a patch of iron sand and began sniping, picking off the cute-looking but surprisingly deadly rabbit monsters, which shot sharp crystals from their mouths, one by one. After all, girls tended to be a bit sensitive, and it could be difficult for them to harm such adorable animals.

Chen Heng wasnt worried about Sirin, Luo Li, and Jeanne dArc; they all had a bit of blood on their hands. His concern was for Umaru-chan and Kato Megumi.

Monsters that died at a distance didnt require Chen Heng to run over and collect the loot. The games system had a paid loot collection system that charged one point for every 24 hours. Besides this, there were various other premium features, such as online quest collection, completing quests, selling monster hides and materials, etc.

This was a damn pay-to-win game system!
