[Eon's POV: ]
"We should play something?"
"Shouldn't we study or something?"
Yes, well, there was no need to study for tomorrow.
"It's fine... let's play magic ball."
"We don't have enough players for that."
"Of course we do. If we call everyone else, there will be more than two teams. And since there is no one else on the ground, it should be even more fun."
Rein, Tia, Quin, Chry, Alf, Bell, Carla, Ball and I were sitting in our usual spot in the garden while the rest of the people from our group were studying in their dorms or in the library.
And that too after I told them there was no need to worry about the test tomorrow.
'It wasn't going to be something that important anyway so there was no need to study in the first place. Just doing the basics was more than enough.'
If they wanted to just pass the test tomorrow, they did not even need to do the basics since this test was going to be much easier than the rest of the tests we have had until now.
'But no. They were worried that there was a deeper meaning to the unnatural holiday that we have received and despite my suggestion that we should go somewhere to play or do something fun, they were still studying.'
Only a few of us were present right now and even the ones present here had no motivation to do anything.
"Will you two really not be in touch throughout the break? Can't we just meet someday and have a chat or something?"
Quin was upset that we won't meet each other after this last test.
'We had told them we would not be available during the break time so they might not get any reply from us, but they were not happy about this news.'
Quin was especially upset that she had to be all by herself when we would not be around.
'We were all she had, and when we will go away, there won't be anyone to look after her.'
She had not even decided what she was going to do in her break time. And even though Chry asked her if she wanted to come with him to Heliox again, she was not certain about what she wanted to do.
'She could go with him and play with Anna and the new friends she had made there. She liked it there and had a lot of fun so she was thinking of considering his offer, but without the two of us, she was uncertain what she would even do by herself.'
He was upset and was thinking if she should even go to Heliox again or not, but she should make her decision soon.
'Being there would be better than just being somewhere on this island or with the Association branch manager.'
We were going to be busy with the conference preparations for a few days so we won't have much time to be with her there either, but we still wanted her there.
"As I said before, Quinny, we will be doing something really important and will not be in any position to be in contact with anyone.
Even though I don't want that, there is no way for us to communicate with anyone else in the first place.
Please understand."
Rein had been telling her the same thing since yesterday when we were having dinner.
Lizzy should be on her way so that was good, but the rest of them didn't seem to be in the mood to be here.
'I should have just said that they will get free lunch if they come. Haaa...'
Tomorrow will be our last day in the academy.
Some of us will leave right after the tests are over while some of us will leave early next morning.
Most of us will not get to meet each other after that for a few weeks, and it wasn't like tomorrow's test will be something super complicated so worrying about it was useless.
If anything, everyone should be with us. Spending time doing something fun instead of just wasting their time with unnecessary things.
-Swiiiiiiiiiish...
It took a while for everyone to gather and not all of them were happy about being here instead of being before their books.
Some were confused why they were even here in the first place when they never wanted to... but they will not figure it out anytime soon.
The others who came here for food were not happy how I lied about having prepared some super special parting dish.
And, ones like Deleon who had to leave their important research to come here for something useless were in no good mood.
"So, everyone... how about we play tag?"
Med was working in her store and she had to come running after I told her something important was going on here.
Even Nova and the possessed boy with foresight skill were dragged here against their wills.
Celes did her work as well as she usually does so most of them won't know why this was happening, but now that everyone was here, at least, I had to give them some kind of incentive to join the game.
"Whoever stays undefeated till the end will receive a super special gift from me– of course, the good will be something you can eat."
The game of tag was simple.
One just had to run and the one who starts the game will tag someone else and they would have to tag someone else.
The others would run and make sure not to get caught by the person in question.
To make things a little more fun, I added the rule that one person can not tag the same person again for next three minutes.
And since there were hundreds of us here and the academy garden was big enough, there was enough space for all of us.
"I will start, so everyone has one minute to take their positions. Hiding is fine, but going inside the academy castle is not.
You can go anywhere else in the garden."
This was a competition where they had to survive since they knew my special dish was on the line here.
The more people are left at the end, the more they would have to share it with the others and the less fun they will have enjoying it.
Well, I did not say much about the special dish so everyone had their own interpretation but, at the very least, everyone had gathered here now.
"And teaming up is fine as well!"
We all can finally have some fun together...
