When I returned to my house after the encounter with Harry, whom I met by chance, I heard a rather lively conversation from the door.

It didn’t sound like a conversation between Mizzet and Momiji, but rather the presence of a larger group of people.

I don’t have any useful skills like detecting the presence of people, but since I’m always with the two of them, I can at least tell that the atmosphere is different from the tension of the conversation.

I wondered what had happened to them.

I don’t think there are any other members of the Nine-Tailed family in the room, and I can’t think of anyone else.

When I opened the door with a little suspicion, Kuroko-san, who was wearing black clothes, was chatting with the Mizzet and others.

“…… Eh? So Mizzet-san is not a blood relative of Saito-sama, but a disciple?”

“Yes, I have been trained in combat by a being who is one of the pillars of the gods. Kenji has taught me a lot, too.”

“That’s amazing! It seems that you are not a Japanese citizen, are the foreign gods a kind of land gods that are rooted in the region? It is said that land gods are born from people’s beliefs and dragon veins. To have taught by such existence you’re truly Saito-sama’s disciple!”

….. No, how did this happen?

I was driven by various urges, but what bothered me the most was the fact that Mizzet, still wearing her otherworldly Paladin armor, was being accepted as normal by Kuroko the young lady.

That’s not right! That equipment!

You should be a little more uncomfortable with it!

I mean, it’s not about she’s a foreigner or not a Japanese citizen, but it was totally from Middle Ages!

I thought to myself, but since the conversation didn’t seem to be going in a weird direction, I decided to go with it.

“Oh, it’s Kenji. Welcome back. My talk with Kuroko was so interesting that I didn’t notice your presence.”

“Sa, Saito-sama!! I’m sorry to disturb you! Actually, I need to check something urgently!”

“I’m home.”

When I opened the door and was puzzled by the sight, Mizzet noticed first and was followed by Kuroko-san.

She said “Oh, it’s Kenji. Welcome back” so naturally that I naturally said “I’m home”, but what should I do with urgent Kuroko-san needed to check something?

Somehow it smells like trouble again.

“By the way, where is Momiji? I thought I left her in his room too.”

“Aaa, I told her to hide for a while. Momiji~, you can come out now!”

When Mizzet said that, only the head appeared from the empty space, and Momiji showed her face in the form of a raw head.

I can’t blame you if you want to hide, but honestly, I’m not comfortable about the way you showed up.

It’s so horror after all.

“Mu, are the onigiri ready?”

“Oh, I’ve bought enough meals. I’m sorry to bother in front of Miss Kuroko, but we haven’t eaten yet, so we’ll eat first. We’ll talk to you then.”

“Yes! I understand!”

It’s easy to heat it up in the microwave and put it on the table anyway.

However, it’s a little cramped when so many people gather in an uncle’s room.

Well, they’re the ones who barged in here, so they shouldn’t mind being a little stuffy in here.

To be honest, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look for a new place to live since I’ve got a lot of money to spare.

Okay, let’s save that plan for the future.

While spreading out the food on the table, I asked the reason why the young lady Kuroko came to visit.

“So, what can I do for you?”

Even though the Nine Tails have been on a rampage lately, it’s a weak reason for a visit.

I’m sure there’s something important that she needs to confirm right now, but I don’t have any idea what it is.

If I had to guess, I’d say that about the mysterious uncle who was being hunted by the foxes, as mentioned by an exorcist named Harry Taylor.

Even so, there isn’t enough evidence that I was targeted directly, so I don’t think that’s the case.

I’m not sure if they read my serious expression, but Mizzet, who had been chatting happily with me earlier, frowned and looked at me to see what was going on.

“Em, actually, since the last time I met with Saito-sama, Mini Kuroko-chan’s reaction has been weak. According to the communication through that Shikigami. I’ve heard that Saito-sama received a lethal blow that rendered his incapable of fighting. After that, contact was lost again, and since then there has been no communication…”

“Ah, I see.”

I thought to myself, “Oh right, I’ve seen that before,” and opened my phone app to check my storage. In the storage, there was a “Mini Kuroko (Status: Dying)” in red letters.

What does it mean by “dying”? As if it were a living being before.

It’s an undeniable fact that this doll saved my life, but I still think it’s somehow cursed.

It’s not [damaged], it’s [dying].

It’s a strange notation.

But I understand what Kuroko-san is concerned about.

When I summoned Momiji here before, Mini Kuroko-chan (state: dying) appeared in the unstored state, and from that point on, I stored it away in dimensional storage as unnecessary equipment in the modern age.

At that time, mini Kuroko-chan was made to appear in this world for a moment, so that Kuroko-san can sensed the damage, but after I stored it back in dimension storage, it seems that there was no further contact.

The timing also makes sense.

However, I don’t know how I explained it, I couldn’t say that I was fighting for the fate of the continent with the Demon King in a different world.

As I was grunting and groaning, this time the silent Mizzet opened her mouth.

“I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but Kenji was fighting the Demon King not too long ago, and it looks like he took a lot of damage during the fight, so it must have been damaged during that time.”

“What is it? Demon King?”

“Buho!!!”

You’re too direct!

I’m not sure if there are any demon lords in this world, and even if there are, I don’t know how they’re treated, but if you suddenly say I’ve fought a demon lord, I’m bound to get some weird misunderstandings.

But it’s not Mizzet’s fault that she doesn’t know the common sense of our world yet.

It is inevitable that this kind of reaction will occur when listening to the story, and I can’t help but think that it’s the way it had to be.

“I don’t know how to make substitute items, but if you can do that, then you’re probably an alchemist, right? What level are you?”

“What are you talking about ……? Level?”

“Hey, hey, hey, stop! Wait a minute, Mizzet, you can keep your mouth shut about that. I’ll handle this, okay?”

“Eh? … Yeah, that’s okay.”

She was about to start talking about a lot of things, so I forced myself to end it by taking control of the conversation.

Now, things ar about to get a lot more complicated.
