Chapter 387 - Why not give him a chance?

Inside the car...

After hanging up the call, Suzy heaved a sigh of relief. 

Luo Shen who had long been fidgetting on his seat could no longer hold it in and whined "Sister, why did stop me from beating up that bastard? that guy has such an ugly mouth. How dare he state such a disgusting condition? If no for you I would have beaten him into a pulp" 

Chuckling at her younger brother's grievance, Suzy shook her head and said "Xiao Shen, you don't understand. Though it is easy for us to take care of the Song family we still don't have any idea on what are they up to. Without knowing their motive if we strike them then it would not be good for us so why not learn their motive then strike them? Anyway, it wouldn't be late to beat him up then right?" 

"Sigh...okay, I got it. I was too impulsive. Now, do you want to head back to your house?" Luo Shen asked

"No, take me to the Li mansion" Looking down at her cell phone which had been ringing constantly, Suzy smiled and said, "Someone is very angry and might be wishing to squash me to death so why not give him a chance?" 

Though not understanding the underlying meaning behind Suzy's words, Luo Shen still nodded and gestured the driver to turn the car towards the Li Mansion. 

On the other side...

Li Chao was pacing back and forth while trying to call Suzy. Feeling a little dizzy seeing Li Chao, Feng mian rubbed the space between her eyebrows and said "Stop trying to call her. It's of no use"

Hearing the disconnected sound from the other side, Li Chao threw the cell phone on the couch and cursed "This f.u.c.k.i.n.g bitch, how dare she not respond my call"

"This isn't the first time she is doing this so why are you simply wasting your energy trying to call her?" Feng Mian asked expressionlessly. 

Walking towards the couch, Li Chao sat down on the couch and asked "How did it end up like this? didn't you say that Suzy wouldn't dare to approach the reporter and reveal her opinion? then why did she still end up answering the reporters?"

With a frown on her face, Feng Mian said "Initially everything was going good but who would have thought brainless Song Mo Chen would barge in and make some trouble. Though I don't know what did that guy say as soon as he left Suzy approached the reporters"

"But mom, even if Suzy had declared that she would marry only her boyfriend but she hasn't revealed who is her boyfriend. If we just reveal that Song Mo Chen is Suzy's boyfriend then isn't the problem solved?"

Shaking her head, Feng Mian sighed "Xiying, you don't understand such complicated matters. Though Suzy hasn't mentioned who is her boyfriend, she had ultimately declared that she has nothing to do with the marriage"

After hearing Feng mian's explanation, Li Xiying finally understood the crucial part. 

Just as the room turned silent, Li Chao suddenly stood up and said "This is not going to work. We need to do something. Come, let's head to the Li mansion. We can decide everything else later"

In the Li mansion...

After the maid announced Suzy's arrival, Elder Mr. Li and Mrs. Li walked down the stairs and saw Suzy standing in the middle. 

With a frown, Elder Li asked "baby, what's the matter? Is everything fine?"

Shaking her head, Suzy narrated all the things that happened recently to her grandfather and grandmother unhurriedly.

After hearing Suzy's narration, Elder Mr. Li's brows furrowed and he could not help but ask "I don't understand. What has gotten into this guy? why did he suddenly set up your marriage with the song family?"

"Investment. Feng Mian and madam Song had some connections. As FM corporation was facing some issues with investment, Feng Mian wanted to approach the Song corporation but the Song corporation is very cunning and is into a profit-making business. Because of the recent decrease in the shares, the Song corporation was afraid of losing money so they disagreed with the proposal but later Feng Mian heard that Madam Song happened to be interested in me so she proposed to set an engagement between me and the Song family. When father heard the news he was delighted so along with the investment proposal, he asked the Song family to allocate ten percent of the company share in his name as dowry. And after the two families drawn into a conclusion, they invited me to the charity banquet and announced it to the world. Initially, I wasn't interested in the engagement thing but because of Song Mo Chen, I had no other choice but to reveal my relationship"

After a deep silence, Elder Mrs. Li looked at Suzy and asked curiously "So the thing about you having a boyfriend isn't fake? Do you really have a boyfriend?" 

Nodding her head, Suzy smiled apologetically and said "Sorry Grandpa and Grandma, I did not intend to hide this from you but you know, it was not the right time to declare our relationship"

Grabbing Suzy's hands, Elder Mrs. Li caressed Suzy's hair gently and said with a smile "Little child, your grandparents aren't that strict. We do understand that it's not easy for you to reveal your relationship to your grandparents and it's okay. Grandparents believe you and we will respect your choice no matter who he is until he takes good care of you"

Nodding her head, Suzy looked at her grandma and said "Don't worry grandma, once the time comes I will definitely bring him to you and introduce you to him. I'm sure you will definitely like him"

"Okay then, since you say so we will look forward to meeting your boyfriend" elder Mrs. Li smiled and said

Just as the grandparents and granddaughter were having a good chat, the maid once again walked inside and announced "Master, Madam...Young master and his family are here and they said they would like to meet you"

Nodding his head at the maid, Elder Li did not answer but turned to Suzy, waiting for Suzy's decision. 

raising her eyebrows, Suzy smiled and thought "They are earlier than expected. Since the young master is here to discuss something very important, just let them in. I want to see what are the family of three up to"
