Chapter 1341: Test Battle
Jenny "Welcome Mr. Julian"
Jenny greets him with a pleasant smile on her face, and Julian nods back with a smile before greeting her.
Julian "It's a pleasure to meet you again, but my visit today is not a pleasant one"
Jenny "Did something happen again?"
She asked as her tone changed into a worrying one.
Julian shakes his head in denial.
Julian "It has been happening for a while, we thought that taking care of Team Skull will be the end of it but it is not"
Julian said.
Jenny "There is more?"
She asks, concerned.
Julian nods.
Julian "I suspected that something was fishy when those local goons suddenly became very aggressive for no reason. So when I dealt with their leader I found out that they were hired to cause commotion all over Alola."
Jenny "By whom?"
Julian "Cipher, of course, they have had their eyes on Alola for years now and they are getting desperate with their goals so they are making big moves"
Jenny "What are they after?"
Julian "They are after Alola's energy source, the Z-energy and Totem pokemons, who are most affected by it"
Jenny "Why?"
Julian "That I still do not know, but all these evil organizations just have one goal and that is to rule over the world"
Julian said.
As multiple Shadow Falls continue hurling toward him, Gengar just swipes his hand and conjures a shadow hand, and swats away the Shadow Ball.
The shadow hand then fists up and comes down on Marshadow like a hammer.
Marshadow tries to dodge seeing the incoming attack, but to his surprise, the massive shadow fist follows behind him.
Marshadow tries to cancel the massive shadow fist by sending multiple Shadow Balls at it, but they are completely useless as they just explode on contact without causing any damage to the shadow fist.
He looks around while still on the run, trying to find a way to avoid the shadow fist. Finding nothing else he can do, he looks at Gengar, who has a big cheeky grin on his face.
Suddenly, Marshadow thinks of something and dashes towards Gengar as the shadow fist follows behind.
Instead of trying to counter the shadow fist, Marshadow decides to attack Gengar instead, forcing him to defend himself.
Of course, Gengar can easily deal with just tactics as the power difference between them is immense, but this is training, not a fight. So Gengar will have to hold back on some of his tricks.
Marshadow's ability to judge the battlefield and take optimal measures to counter his shortcomings impresses Julian, who is watching from the side.
Gengar watched as Marshadow got closer to him as the shadow fist followed. As Marshadow was a few meters away from him, Gengar created a force field and stopped Marshadow dead in his track.
Marshadow's face met the invisible wall that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Marshadow now found himself between a rock and a hard place. With the shadow fist right behind him and him being stuck against the invisible wall, he only has a few milliseconds to move out of the way.
So by putting every ounce of strength into his whole body, Marshadow tries to shoot toward the sky.
The shadow fist arrives and with the grace of luck, Marshadow dodges the shadow fist with just a hair length distance. He even felt the shadow fist graze his little feet.
The shadow fist smashed into the invisible wall and exploded, and since Marshadow couldn't really make much distance between him and the explosion, he got hit by it.
He propelled through the air from the backlash of the explosion but it is still better than directly getting squashed between a powerful shadow fist and an unbreakable invisible wall.
Marshadow controlled his descent down toward the ground, but he is left in a bad state. The explosion did a lot of damage.
Marshadow will not be able to hold on for much longer and, luckily for him, Julian decides to step in.
Julian "Stop, that's enough, Marshadow. You should rest. Gengar you too"
Julian instructed. In the end, this is just a mock battle to test how good Marshadow can perform against a Pokemon that is leagues above him.
