First class passengers were allowed to leave first through the VIP channel and Zhou Jianchen was following behind Liang Yin. His sight turned complicated looking at her back.
Liang Yin was wearing a hat and a scarf with no disguise while he seemingly had forgotten too. He merely had a pair of sunglasses on without even a face mask.
His heart was in chaos yet his train of thoughts was surprisingly clear. Her haggardness, travelling alone and just a ring mark on the ring finger seemed to implicate one thing but he dared not be ascertained. He repeatedly kept recalling the scenes that had happened throughout the journey. Her transformation to being non amiable, uncommunicative and depressed while her falling asleep listening to the music which to the extent of not hearing the announcement could be an interpretation of being preoccupied or having insomnia. All these….completely stirred up his anxiety.
He had an urge to smoke but he could only suppress it and followed her along the way.
Ah Zhao hurriedly caught up, “Brother Chen. Sister Shao is on the phone.”
Since Brother Chen drove him out of the VIP lounge, he didn’t look for him again. He got restless once he self-reflected and had felt uneasy along the way. After disembarkation, he didn’t even wait for him but walked rapidly alone. When Sister Shao called, he had to run a distance before catching up to him.
He only knew now that Brother Chen’s cellphone was switched off all this while. It seemed something terrible had happened listening to Sister Shao’s tone.
Zhou Jianchen halted his step and glanced at the phone before taking it.
“Hello?” As a matter of fact, he didn’t need to listen since he already knew what Sister Shao was going to say on the phone.
Just as expected, the rattling voice of Sister Shao transmitted over once he voiced out.
“Zhou Jianchen! If you are capable of doing it then you should have the ability not to counsel me! You are truly capable of even switching off the cellphone after posting on Weibo! I told you not to respond for the time being and you totally disregarded me. Are you complaining for not having enough trouble! How ah could you ah, you say you ah what ah…..”
Sister Shao’s voice was sharp and shrilling to the eardrum. Zhou Jianchen was walking forward while listening and couldn’t restrain from moving the cellphone to the side of his ear. Once she finished, he frowned and replied indifferently, “Who said I am responding to her?”
Without waiting for Sister Shao’s reply, he hung the call up and tossed the cellphone back to Ah Zhao.
Ah Zhao hurriedly caught it. Seeing that Zhou Jianchen was walking away, he hastily kept up. Sister Shao was the company’s tigress and everyone was afraid of her except Brother Chen, who dared to hang up her call.
Once Zhou Jianchen turned on his cellphone, countless messages popped up; missed calls, SMS, WeChat, Weibo etc. Zhou Jianchen directly swiped to Weibo, as expected there were countless likes, comments, retweets and private messages.
There were 200,000 messages under the latest Weibo.
The first hottest comment: I seemingly see my Brother Chen full of mockery….
Back to the homepage, the first hot trend was: Zhou Jianchen responded to a romance, the second was: Zhou Jianchen’s talent agent had responded to his romance.
Tapping into the second entry: Zhou Jianchen is currently single and has not heard of having a girlfriend as stated by Zhou Jianchen’s talent agent.
The news was released 2 hours after he sent out the post.
The stormy wave that Xu Lili stirred up caused lots of public debates. He had responded after 14 hours while Sister Shao also followed with the issuance of an official statement 16 hours later which was an understatement, as if this matter had nothing to do with them and was not worthy to be mentioned.
While others held it seriously, she just took it lightly and dissolved it into invisibility.
Sister Shao had been in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years and was known to have weathered through many storms. She would naturally know how to deal with such a matter. As she is partial to him even though he is never obedient, she will still conform with him to properly deal with whatever matters. So even if she reprimanded him, he would just listen. Just like this time, the whereabouts of Xu Lili is still unknown and there aren’t any distinct directions yet, but as long as he voices out his standpoint, she will immediately coordinate with him even if it will implicate the interests of many others.
After browsing through several times, Zhou Jianchen put away his cellphone. The baggage carousel was just in front where Liang Yin was waiting in sight.
“Brother Chen, I will get the luggage.” On the side, Ah Zhao had already rushed forward but halted after two steps when he too saw Liang Yin standing at a corner in front.
He took a quick glance at Zhou Jianchen. Looking at his vague expression, he did not say much and just walked hastily over.
Zhou Jianchen followed behind.
It seemed there were some problems as the baggage had yet to arrive. After the staff had explained, Liang Yin waited quietly by the side. Ah Zhao dared not stand too close to her. He stood about two to three meters away after getting a baggage cart. When he finally turned his head, he realized Zhou Jianchen had also walked over and stopped between them.
He was a few steps away from him and about a meter away from Liang Yin.
Unwittingly pretending not to notice, Ah Zhou looked down at the direction of the conveyor belt.
Glancing at the slow-moving belt for a long while, Zhou Jianchen finally spoke, “Have you gotten your luggages?” With his head down, his voice was faint and unsure who the question was intended for.
Ah Zhao merely pretended he did not hear.
Liang Yin turned her head, making sure he was talking to herself before smiling softly and replied with her head lowered, “Yes.”
Raising his head, he looked at her but she had turned away again. The baggage on the conveyor belt was finally out and was close to her.
Zhou Jianchen gazed at the side of her face before shifting to the hands that were lifting the bag. After a moment of silence, he spoke again, “Are you alone?”
There was an instant hesitation before she voiced out, “Yes.”
“How are you going home?” Zhou Jianchen asked after he picked up his luggage.
Liang Yin had already retrieved all two of her suitcases, one big and one small including the handbag in her hand, a total of three pieces. She placed them orderly onto the baggage cart.
“I’ll take the taxi.” She responded to Zhou Jianchen’s question with a smile. After everything was placed properly, she once again said, “I’ll go first.”
She then lowered her head and pushed the baggage cart towards the arrival hall.
Zhou Jianchen looked at her back, momentarily silent.
“Brother Chen.” Ah Zhao had already walked over with the baggage cart and placed the suitcase he retrieved on top of the cart.
Zhou Jianchen glanced forward before he opened his mouth and said, “Go help her with the baggage cart.”
Ah Zhao was somewhat stunned when Zhou Jianchen took over the cart from him.
Ah Zhao failed to respond but Zhou Jianchen had already walked away before his senses returned and he hurriedly caught up. After confirming there was no other meaning, he promptly ran towards Liang Yin’s side, “Miss Liang, let me help you with the cart.”
Liang Yin was startled when she heard the voice beside her. After she turned and saw Zhou Jianchen behind Ah Zhou, she understood, “Thanks, I can do it myself…”
“It’s okay. Let me.” Liang Yin was still refusing when Ah Zhao revealed a smile and came around taking the cart from her hand.
When Zhou Jianchen walked over, Liang Yin still felt awkward. “Let’s go.” Saying that, he pushed the cart forward again.
Seeing Ah Zhou had walked away, Liang Yin had no choice but to catch up,
“Thank you.” She whispered once she approached Zhou Jianchen’s side.
Looking ahead, Zhou Jianchen paid her no heed.
The three of them walked forward together. Either it was deliberate or unintentional, they kept a certain distance between them. Walking in the middle, Ah Zhao was ahead of them while Liang Yin was on the right next to the wall behind Ah Zhao. Lastly, Zhou Jianchen was like a stranger walking on the left aisle and keeping a distance from Liang Yin.
The long aisle led to the arrival hall where there was the largest flow of people. Tremendous cheering noises were heard when they were several meters away.
Zhou Jianchen was very susceptible to this kind of noise. Ah Zhou also had such professional awareness, “Brother Chen, let me go take a look.”
He came back a while later with an unsightly expression, “Brother Chen, Yu Qiao’s fans are outside to meet him and I also saw several media….”
Zhou Jianchen frowned.
