Harry's House, At Country D
It had already been three days since Berry lived with Harry in his apartment. However, they were still not making any progress up till now. The man always left early in the morning and came back home way too late that she was practically sleeping every time were together. She hated that they lived in the same house but were practically total strangers to each other. To think that he was willing to marry her anytime she wanted?
"Does that even make sense?" she retorted as she cooked dinner. She didn't bother to call him, knowing that he would just tell her that he would be late again. She typed out a message instead, saying:
[I'm cooking dinner. I'll wait for you, so please come home early. Don't let me starve?] She added a peace emoji before sending it.
She was trying her best not to look clingy whatsoever, but as the days passed, she was starting to tire of their awkward set-up.
Finishing her cooking, she hurried up in preparing herself so that she would look attractive and seductive even with a little bit of effort. However, in reality, she was putting in a lot of effort in trying to pick what dress to wear. In her mind, she was already practicing how she would approach Harry without looking like she was throwing herself at him. Well, that was the plan, at least.
"Seriously, this is killing me…" Berry murmured as she looked up at the wall clock. She even bragged at Mitch on how she would be the one to get married first. And now… Mitch was already married, filing out a leave so suddenly for her honeymoon. At this rate, she won't be surprised if Mitch would just resign after a few more days and just choose to stay at country B with her husband and Brione.
"This is too much. Those two women leaving me alone here…" she murmured with a frown.
It was then that her mobile phone beeped out. Her heart almost skipped a beat as she immediately opened it, a beautiful smile lifting her aura as she read it.

[Alright, I'll come home early this time. Sorry. I've been a bit busy the past few days.]
Berry quickly typed her reply, [That's alright. Drive safely. See you soon.]
She immediately stood up and readied the dining table. It was like a candlelit dinner, with candles ready to burn at a moment's notice.
"Ah, this is too much," she mumbled as she then decided to remove the candles and keep the table simple. Harry might feel awkward if she went through with sucha setup.
She waited for him in the living area, watching random news and drama series. She comfortably rested her head on the couch's armrest, dozing off into a quick nap without her knowing.
Harry sighed before he opened the door. It had been a few days, and already, he had become swamped with work from the moment he came back to country D. It was a good thing that tonight, he didn't have to do more over time, and he could eat with Berry for dinner. He felt terrible that he couldn't give Berry enough time to spend with one other, to actually get to know each other more.
He had honestly planned to take her out tomorrow since it was the weekend. He could spare time for her then and ignore work during those times.
Entering the house, he was startled to see Berry on the couch.
"Is she sleeping?" he whispered as he slowly approached her. Harry gulped as his eyes darted to her bare legs. The skirt went a bit up, revealing her nicely-shaped hips. With one more movement, he was sure that he would practically see her panties.
Harry inwardly cursed at how the mere sight of her affected his body greatly. He moved his eyes away from the temptation and kept it straight at Berry's face. He bent down, reaching out close to her ear and whispered, "Berry…"
He called to her several times, and he let out a sigh of relief when she finally sluggishly opened her eyes.
Her smile was too lovely as she whispered, "You're finally here."
Harry blushed and gave her a half-smile with a nod. Berry extended her arms, snaking them around his neck as she pulled him closer. Harry was caught off-guard. His body froze, rendering himself motionless and letting Berry have her way. She kissed him slowly as if she was still asleep.
Being that close to her, he could smell her pleasing scent and feel her soft lips pressing against his lips. Harry didn't know what came over him that he moved his lips against hers, pressing them together even further as if he was far from content with just their lips brushing against one another. He suckled on her upper and lower lips, before moving on and sliding his tongue inside her mouth.
Berry was feeling drowsy. She honestly thought that she was only dreaming as she aggressively answered his kiss with the same intensity. She had been dreaming about this moment for days ever since that night that they slept together, a moment that she had no recollection at all of what happened.
Kissing him felt nice. It wasn't her first kiss, but Harry was the best kisser she had kissed among others. She unconsciously moaned as her tongues intertwined with each other. It was such a good dream that Berry wanted to happen in real life. However, she knew that Harry was still a bit uncomfortable around her.
Harry knew he had to stop before the two of them ended up doing more than just kissing. He wanted Berry to be comfortable around him first, and it would be best to simply get to know each other a bit more before they truly become intimate with each other like this.
"Berry, it's time for dinner," Harry breathlessly whispered as soon as he succeeded in breaking off the kiss.
Berry's eyes widened and she stared at Harry, blinking her eyes wide as she unconsciously voiced out, "F*uck. I'm not dreaming?"
Harry had an awkward smile as he murmured, "Yeah, and I saw you sleeping here…"
Berry quickly let go of his neck and got up from the couch. She haphazardly composed herself, cursing at how she ended up falling asleep. But somehow, she couldn't hide the satisfied smile stuck on her face as she kept recalling the kiss that she and Harry just shared.
"Right, I'll be quick. You can go wait at the dining table while I serve the food," Berry said with a smile as Harry only nodded. Their faces were both burning red.
