Both women were so drunk that Brione blurted, "Do you know that I have a best friend who looked exactly like Cedric?"
"You do?" Olivia asked with wide eyes.
Brione nodded and laughed then said, "His name is Gavin Wu. And I strongly believed that he and Cedric were the same person. Gavin went missing last year in a ship accident..."
Olivia was drunk but she was still in her right mind, unlike Brione who seemed to have lost it. She frowned listening to what Brione was babbling.
She grabbed her phone and searched for the name Gavin Wu.
"Oh my God! It's really true!" she exclaimed, feeling completely shocked after seeing the pictures of Gavin.
"See, I told you… That's why I asked you if Cedric has birthmarks. You see my Gavin has it on both sides." Brion muttered with a drunkard voice.
"Both sides? Both sides of his face?" Olivia asked, feeling confused
"No! Of course not! Butt! I'm talking about both sides of his butt"
"Oh!" Olivia gasped, there was a lot going on in her mind at that moment. She was now sure about what Will and Cedric skipped telling her and turns out that it was about Gavin Wu! No, wait! What if Cedric was actually unaware of it yet?
"Does Cedric know about it? I mean his resemblance with Gavin?" Olivia asked but Brione was too busy drinking so she repeated her question.
"Oh, that… Yeah. Cedric knows about it and even showed me proof that he was not Gavin."
"And you still believe that he is Gavin? Why?" Olivia asked with a frown.
Brione started to sob suddenly so Olivia got worried.
"Hey are you alright?" she asked, grabbing the bottle from her hand.
"You've had enough alcohol for today. Unlike me, you have a low tolerance for alcohol so you should stop drinking," she said while taking the vodka bottle away from Brione's hand.
"How do I know? I'm not sure Olivia, but you see this?" Brione whimpered, putting her fisted hand on her chest.
"This… heart… this heart is responsible for it because it keeps on insisting that he is Gavin," Brione mumbled before she passed out on the couch.
Olivia helplessly slumped her body on the opposite couch. She stared at Brione and sighed. Cedric and most probably Will knew about it too.
She looked at her phone and searched for more information. She cursed, analyzing the timing of Cedric's incident and the ship accident. Many were reported dead or missing at that time as it was hard for the rescue team to search because of the thunderstorm and bad conditions of the sea waves.
Then she stared at Brione for a long time and whispered, "Could it be true?"
Like Brione, she too had a strong feeling that Cedric was not the real Cedric.
"Stop this Olivia!" she muttered next, chiding herself for hoping that the real Cedric was just hiding somewhere because that was what Cedric wanted to do for a long time, hide. He did not want to take on the responsibility for a country. Cedric was someone who wanted a normal and peaceful life away from politics.
That was why she studied hard so that she could become his strength and help him out in the shadow as his wife.
Her mobile phone rang and it was Cedric.
"How is Brione? Her alcohol tolerance is low and I doubt you can move her to your bedroom. I will pick her up when you two are done."
"Yes, she passed out so you can pick her up now," Olivia informed and the call ended.
If Brione was right, then where was the real Cedric? She was racking her brains thinking of all the possibilities that her heart even regained a flicker of hope with this information. She was hoping that the man with them now was not Cedric at all.
Her doorbell buzzed and she stood up to open the door.
Cedric rushed towards Brione and shook his head seeing the empty bottles on the table.
"Is Brione the only one who drank those?" he grunted.
Olivia's eyebrows creased as she said, "Of course not. You know I have a high tolerance to alcohol so no matter how much I drink I won't pass out. I guess you don't remember."
"Brione told me about Gavin Wu," Olivia said when Cedric bent to carry Brione. Cedric halted and faced her.
"I think you should check your butt to find out if what she's saying is true. I also know that your DNA matches with your father's so don't give me that as an excuse. Sometimes there are impossible things which tend to happen to people and I see nothing wrong with you checking it to make sure. Because to be honest, I can't believe that the Cedric I know will change just like how you change now." Olivia candidly said.
Cedric sighed and said, "What if I don't have those birthmarks Livi? Will you and Brione stop with these crazy ideas you have in your mind?"
"I probably won't because birthmarks are not the only thing that will prove that you're not the real Cedric for me. I will conduct my own investigation on this matter but don't worry I will not put the Royal Family in a difficult situation…"
"Really? It's good to hear that the daughter is on our side because your father is now starting his moves against me to put the Royal Family in a difficult position," Cedric pointed out.
Olivia's brows furrowed and said, "What do you mean?"
She was not aware of anything that was happening in the Royal family. She had only met her father for dinner the day she came back and flew to Perdu Island along with Will and Cedric the next day.
"You should go back home and ask him yourself, Livi. He will probably call for you soon so I doubt you will even have time to investigate this issue regarding me and Gavin," he said. Cedric immediately carried Brione into his arms.
He had received a call from Assistant Sean earlier so he had to head back to the Palace tomorrow morning and this time he was not sure how long he would be gone for.
As soon as Cedric left, Olivia called home and talked to her brother.
