At the Airport, Country D
Reporters were already waiting at the greeting area of the airport to welcome the News Anchor who everyone thought was dead. She was fortunate enough to survive the shipwreck accident more than a year ago.
Cooper network held the exclusive report of the said news but it leaked out like a plague to all media outlets causing everyone to wait at the airport to get a scoop and more details about it.
"There are so many people," Luo mumbled. She was waiting at the greeting area with Noah, Keira, and uncle Damiel.
"Yeah, I already instructed the security to make sure that they clear enough space once they see Gavin and Brione enter." Noah, who was standing close to her, uttered.
"Gavin also has a lot of fans. Many people adore watching him deliver the news every evening. And now that they learned that he is alive, a lot of them are waiting outside just to find out if the news is true," Keira Chan commented.
She was one of Gavin's closest good friends and colleagues. She too was so delighted when she heard that Gavin was alive. It was only normal since he was her favorite partner in the daily evening news anchoring for Cooper network.
Luo and Noah sighed as they looked around. They ensured enough security to maintain the security of the place. The news about Brione finding Gavin in one of the nearby islands where the ship sank was disclosed to everyone. It was spreading like wildfire that was why fans, including bystanders, were lurking in the area, waiting for the couple's arrival.
"I still can't believe this. My son is coming back alive," Damiel, Gavin's father, uttered.
Keira held his hand and said, "It's indeed good news, uncle Damiel. I'm so glad and grateful that Gavin will be coming back to us. We will finally be able to see him soon…"
Damiel nodded with a smile before he looked at the area where Gavin would exit. Shortly after, Noah informed them that the plane that Gavin was in has already landed
"Everything is in order, right?" Luo nervously asked once more.
"Yes baby, so relax," Noah answered with a reassuring smile. All of them were really anxious but it was Gavin's plan to make his comeback known to everyone. All they needed to do was to take extra precautions to ensure Brione and Gavin's safety at all times.
"They are here!" They heard one of the reporters shout.
Flashes of lights from the cameras filled the entire space, all of it focussed on the couple that went out of the exit door. They were holding each other's hands as they walked towards the greeting area.
Noah looked at Mitch and Berry from the back and signaled the two since they were the ones tasked to answer the reporters later.
"Oh my God! Are those two really together? They are holding each other's hands!!"
Mitch could hear the gasps and murmurs from the crowd causing her to heave a sigh. She was so sure that their office would soon get flocked by several calls again. She could hope that this would have a good kind of feedback and comments on Brione's career. Given that Gavin had a good reputation, he was definitely a wise choice for someone like Brione.
The security was tight, blocking everyone from getting near Brione and Gavin with at least two meters distance. The crowds were cheering loudly for the couple.
Berry leaned close to whisper to Mitch, "we will have a new love team if this continues! Brione's fans obviously like Gavin for their Star!"
The two looked so perfect together. It was undeniably an impeccable match in all aspects. Gavin was even handsome compared to other actors who partnered with Brione in the past. He was an eye candy that every woman would drool for.
"I hope you are right, Berry. So far, there's only been a good response right now... but we are not sure how things will change later…" Mitch replied with a sigh while staring at the couple who were now approaching the greeting area.
Brione, who was used to these kinds of crowds, greeted everyone with her sweetest smiles as she waved her hand to them.
"Look at you being such a sweetheart," Gavin whispered, teasingly. His hands were tightly clasped with Brione's as they walked together. He felt so proud and dignified that he released Brione's hand and instead, he placed his arm protectively around her shoulders, pulling his wife closer to him. With this gesture, he deliberately delivered to everyone that Brione Yu was his.
Brione chuckled and replied by whispering back, "and you're a natural charmer yourself! It's your instinct taking over huh? Or are you just being possessive, darling?"
"I can't help it. I want all men to be so heartbroken once they see us! I want them to know that you're already taken and you belong only to me," Gavin whispered in her ear, making Brione shake her head with a smile plastered on her lips.
"Everyone is here. Uncle Damiel is the one in the blue shirt and the woman beside him is Keira Chan," Brione informed him before they stopped at the area where their family and friends were waiting. So far, from the fragments of the memory he recalled, the only person Gavin remembered was Brione.
"Oh my God! My Son!" Damiel exclaimed as he rushed towards the couple.
Gavin instinctively slid down his arm from Brione's shoulder when Damiel approached them. Damiel hugged him as tight as he could while tears kept rolling down on his cheeks.
Gavin looked at Brione in wonder so she introduced the man to him by saying, "He is uncle Damiel, your Father."
Damiel pulled away from the hug just so he could touch his son's face lovingly.
"Noah told me everything. You don't have to force yourself to remember me now. It's okay son. I'm just glad that you are here… Back with us, safe and sound," he said heartily.
"Oh my God, look at you. I have so many questions but it could wait. What's important right now is that you're back in one piece."
"Yes, Father. I am back now," Gavin subconsciously whispered. The word Father naturally came out of his mouth. He could feel a familiar tingling sensation of warmth growing in his chest as he stared at the man crying in front of him.
He could see the endearment in the eyes of the man before him. It was just like how a normal father would look to his son that he waited for so long. But somewhere inside him, he knew that he must be careful even to his own father. He must not let his guard down since the Father in front of him could be involved with the man who abducted him and killed his mother.
