At Philips Residence, Country B
Cries and sobbing were the only things that could be heard inside the Prime Minister's House. The death of Oliver was too devastating for the family.
"This is all my fault…" Olivia kept on murmuring while she sobbed in silence. She was inside her parent's bedroom where her mother was. Her mother passed out as soon as she found out that her only son was now dead.
Her father was out and was taking care of Oliver's body. Olivia was on the couch, crying hard but she tried her best to keep her voice low because of her mother.
She was hurting too much. She still could not believe that her big brother Oliver was gone just like that. Her most favorite person apart from Cedric was gone. She loved her big brother so much that her heart could not take it.
"Why him… Why!" Olivia cried. She felt like dying.
She committed a mistake in trusting the royal family! If only she listened to her father well then there could be a big possibility that Oliver would be alive and would soon reunite with them.
"Father is right…" she helplessly whispered. The Royal Family was too weak! They could not even save their own so why did she trust them in saving her family?!
Olivia fisted her hands as she vowed to herself that she would make sure everyone would pay for what happened to her brother.
"I will gain power! So no one will dare try to hurt me nor my family!" she vowed with gritted teeth. She would make sure that she had enough power in her hands no matter what.
There was a knock on the door and it was their helper, informing her that they had a visitor. It was Will with Kimmy.
Olivia had a blank expression as she left the room. She had asked the nurse to stay with her mother.
Will and Kimmy were in the living area.
Kimmy immediately hugged her as soon as she appeared before them in the living area.
"I am sorry, Olivia. May you find comfort during these times. We're always here for you and your family," Kimmy whispered in her ear.
She felt numb that she soullessly stared at Will who could not bear eye contact with her.
"I am sorry Olivia. We did our best but…" Will whispered.
"But you could do nothing and fail." Olivia finished the sentence for him.
"I don't think that it's a good idea for the two of you to stay here. I don't want to be rude but my father will come back soon and the both of you are the last people he would want to see so please leave now." Olivia said with a straight face.
"Olivia…" Will muttered.
"If you will excuse me. I need to stay with my mother right now," Olivia said before she turned to leave Kimmy and Cain who ended up looking at each other.
Will saw this coming, knowing how Olivia's mind works. Olivia was definitely blaming herself for what happened to Oliver and Will could sense that. She turned into a rock and if he was right… He could sense that Olivia was formulating her own plan inside her head.
He clearly saw the pain in Olivia's eyes. The pain that could turn her into someone she was not…
"Let's go, Will. Olivia is right. Prime Minister Greg will not want to see us here. Let's give Olivia some time…" Kimmy said.
Will heaved a long sigh and then left the Philips residence with Kimmy.
Olivia did not return to her mother and instead, she walked inside her brother's room.
She looked around before she once again burst into tears as she slumped weakly on the floor.
"I am so sorry big brother. Please forgive me… I'm really sorry," Olivia repeatedly said those words as she cried hard. Her eyes were swollen and so red already but her cries never stopped. It was a river of tears because of the pain and guilt she was feeling.
She kept saying the words 'I'm sorry' over and over again. She cringed on the floor as she continued sobbing.
After some time, she got up from the floor and gathered herself together. She walked back inside the room where her mother was when a helper approached and handed her the mobile phone of her mother that kept on ringing since earlier.
It was an unknown number but Olivia answered it still.
"Your daughter will be next if you continue to cooperate with the royal family. I warned you but you didn't listen…"
Olivia's lower lip bled as she bit it hard. If only her hand were stone the mobile phone would crack that instant with how tight her grip was on it.
"No one will cooperate with the royal family. No need to threaten my parents with my safety. I will personally do what you want! I will bring down the royal family and in return, promise me that you will no longer hurt anyone from my family!" Olivia retorted with a clenched jaw.
"I will need power if you want to bring down the royal family. You must give me that because you do know that the royal family has the authority over everything. I will strip the royal family from authority and make this country a parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarchy.
That won't give the royal family any power concerning the government. That is what you want, right? You don't want them to have the power to do everything and I can make that happen!"
Olivia heard a burst of crisp laughter from the other line and Olivia cursed the man numerous times at the back of her head. She would use that man and later on she would kill this man with her own bare hands!
"Sounds like Greg's daughter has more balls. I know you… You could be of great use indeed. Alright, I will think about it and see what you can do for me, woman…"
Before Olivia could reply, she already heard the end call tone.
