Syna was further intrigued with the protocol she was given although she knew it was all because of the title given to her.

"So, what your master likes?"

Syna was trying hard to find any clue about the Ghost king, it was necessary to know about your enemy's weakness in order to defeat him.

"Master? Uh, master likes ..."

Madeleine muddled and muddled but nothing clicked her mind, she did not know what to pull up from her master's routine that could be considered as his interest.

"Okay, it is hard I think. Let's just say, what he dislikes?"

She placed forward her question another way so she could know how to annoy him to death.

"Uh, master hates being lied to and of course misunderstandings."

Madeleine chipped in excitement resembling to a kid who knows his answer to the question in an exam.

"Oh I see."

Syna made an O-shaped face and thought for a moment. Meanwhile the lord in his room was merrily smiling like a fool and thought that his bride finally took some interest in him.

Finding Syna deeply drenched into some thoughts, Madeleine could not help but sigh, if her queen had not committed that 'sin' she would have remembered all.

If Syna had not committed that act which was no less than a sin, she would have been reborn with her past life's memories, she would have clearly or perhaps vaguely remember Lord Sinclair.

"Would like to have a look around the mansion, as it is now your home?"

The latter she whispered barely audible to anyone. It was a pity but at the same time a good thing that the cursed was unaware of her previous life.

"Ah! Yes, sure, if you will be my guide."

She sensed that Madeline was totally harmless to her even if she was not a human or belonged to some other species.

The lady was like an elder sister to Sinclair but unknown to Syna, who thought that the housekeeper was obliged to obey the master willingly or unwillingly.

"Yes, I will, my lady."

Syna shot up from her seat as Madeleine helped her at once by appearing behind her and pulling the chair.

"Madeline?"

Curiosity killed the cat and Syna could not help but finally question as they both walked out of the dining hall.

"Yes, my lady?"

Madeleine at once responded to her meek voice.

"Are you a human? I mean by any chance...are you a ghost too?"

Madeleine burst out in a giggle, the jovial lady could not keep her calm having a stern expression on her face.

"No, not at all. I'm a human, milady, and born into a human family. Well, it is an exception that my family had some privileges, got from the former Ghost king."

The ladies passed through another grand hall which opened into various alleys, two on each side.

"You are a human! Oh my goodness, thank God, there is another human besides me."

Happiness and surprise became visible on her face, she flung out her arm and grabbed Madeleine's hands.

"Yes, my lady, I'm with you here."

A smile appeared on her face which curled the corners of her lips that almost touched her eyes.

She felt a sudden shock and froze for a moment, paused and then chirped to Syna.

"Why do not you get dressed first, my lady? Then I will take you on a round."

"Uh? Okay, if that is your condition because you already are insisting me continuously."

Syna felt irritated from her consistent nagging for changing clothes, and scowled.

"But which way it is, back to my room?"

She glanced back and overlooked the corridor which was silent yet dorned with many portraits, whose eyes were darted onto her.

"I will guide you, that is for what, here I am."

Madeleine directed Syna back to her room and she stepped inside and shut the door behind her, Madeleine disappeared in the air within a blink of an eye.

"You summoned me, Lord Sinclair."

She appeared like a smoke first and forming a shape further just like her brother, Elmore Drago.

She directly appeared in his sight, right in the middle of the room, the lady stood there with head a little crooked and then straightened without waiting for the Lord's reply.

Sure she was his family thus it was not necessary for her to fulfil the formalities. Sinclair was wandering in the room desperately.

"Ah! Yes, Madeleine, I can see Syna is getting along with you very well. I want you to inform her on behalf of the 'Ghost King' that she will be joining my 'MacLaverty Group' from tomorrow again."

After thinking everything keenly Sinclair made up a plan to find the truth of the things that happened in his absence. And for that he wanted to get close to her, as the mighty lord was already confused with his bride's emotions.

For him it felt as if she had feelings for two people and she was misunderstanding something. He needed to be with her on clear terms and decided to play clean.

Previously 'misunderstanding' caused them a huge price, Sinclair did not want the history of their past life to repeat itself and to spoil their present one.

"Yes, my lord. I will inform her right away but ...my queen is demanding your presence continuously."

She informed as the lady was sandwiched between the two lovebirds and did not know which side she should take this time.

"I will meet her soon, when she will rejoin."

A smirk appeared on his lips as his eyes flickered of red laser, and a dark aura began to build up around him, gradually encircling his body.

Madeleine acknowledged that she should leave now, and with a nod she vanished into the air again. Sinclair was determined to make up everything to his queen even if that demands an apology or narrating his bride the 'sin' he committed yesterday, all because the Lord loved his bride dearly.
