"See, I was a little drunk last night so it went wrong. Don't think of yourself high. I'm not your responsibility and I will never be."

Syna was scolding herself for drinking last night but her mind was still jumping onto yesterday's incident as she vaguely remember a few bits but that didn't include such bold act.

"Oh! But I'm ready to take your responsibility."

Sinclair assured her by grabbing her shoulders, while he stood carelessly before her and shot up upon her curt statement.

Indeed he felt that the idea of binding Syna in a contract was a stupid thing he did and now he believed that all it took was to date her normally rather stepping in this mess himself.

"But I'm not your responsibility, okay. Forget it what happened. Just take it as a one night stand and erase it from your mind."

She was persistent to make him believe that she will never be his when in reality she was dying to be 'called' his but not like that, she didn't want the filthy rich guy of the city to think of her the same as other gold diggers.

"Aww! Why? Aren't you being unreasonable? Well...after all we are a husband and wife so it's not a one night technically. And neither am I forgetting it nor I will make you."

Sinclair glared in her eyes as his hazel orbs flashed red that scared Syna for a moment but she didn't move an inch. The lord freed her from his tight grip and stretched his back as he ebbed to rush to the washroom again.

This was another step towards victory now he had a control over her, and probably she would be thinking about their contractual marriage and yes, of course, about him more seriously.

Syna was now raging like a bull ready to whack and smash his head and chipped loudly, for him to listen through that closed door.

"Oh! don't be that confident I'm planning to break that contract soon. Then you will be out of the way."

"Hehe! like seriously Miss Syna? My dear nominal wife, I do have a copy of that agreement and in case you break it you have to pay a fortune to compensate."

"And just think, if I showed that mere paper to that old man in the hospital, how he would feel that his beloved daughter toyed with his emotions and trust."

Sinclair was playing wickedly now, how could he let go of such an interesting woman to whom he was legally married now and who was destined to be his bride since the day she was born, although he had the intention of winning her heart from the beginning even with that contract thing.

"You...Tsskk."

Syna gritted her teeth and stomped her foot on the carpeted floor, she knew that this man would do anything now to keep her confined to himself.

"I have made a huge mistake by signing that agreement."

Her inner self confessed but of course how could that come on her tongue as she was supposed to be away from the term 'unstable emotions' when actually she was the woman who always reacted impulsively.

In rage she stood there with many things that occupied her mind greatly, when Syna heard that the door knocked with a gentle noise.

"Who is it? Come in."

She knew that no one was living with them and it was just those two in that massive resplendent manor, so who it could be?

And a lady followed in, probably in her late twenties, dressed in a maid's costume, with long hair bound in a thick fine braid.

"Madeleine!"

Syna leaped forward and hugged her immediately, in her ecstasy she swayed with her in a circle as both ladies laughed wholeheartedly.

A stern look graced Madeleine's face although she had sharp facial features. She entered with usual expressionless face as a robot with no feelings but her mood elevated as she saw Syna, in her master's room.

"How are you, love? Should I prepare your breakfast? You must be hungry after so much struggle."

She questioned to Syna with eyes darted onto her face, as she was expecting something naughty from her queen, thus asked about breakfast carrying out her duty diligently as she believed her queen would be hungry after last night's exercise.

"Yes, I'm all fine but missed you so much, Madeleine. And I'm really hungry after fighting with him."

Syna replied short to her as she scoffed upon the word 'fight' which caused Madeleine to chuckle, completely misunderstanding.

"Sure, you are a fierce lioness and can tame him. Oh! I must go and prepare breakfast."

She was about to leave when halted in the doorstep and ebbed again when her mind clicked something.

"Oh! Is this alright to you? I changed your clothes last night and threw them away for laundry. Lord Sinclair stayed with you all night in case you needed anything."

Madeleine blurted out the truth about last night, completely ruining Sinclair's plan to tease Syna.

"What!? What did she say? Oh my Goodness, all his rantings were a lie, solely lies."

Syna's temper flared up immediately upon the realization as she tucked her both hands on her round hips, as the crafty fox stared at the closed door of the washroom.

Her mind was running on the horsepower with evilness filled inside, perhaps that's why they were a couple, a destined one since centuries.

She left and the door was shut behind her silently. Syna was all alone now again apparently, in that neatly furnished room she was all alone with her devilish thoughts, her emotions were flowing as she became dumbfounded for a few minutes.

"You...rich brat! You will have to pay for making a fool out of me. Just wait and watch."

The room was presenting the perfect picture of the Lord's loneliness as he had only one blinder to cover the whole window, one lamp by his side, and only one pillow on that king sized bed. Sadness was lurking by the wall paints too, ash grey with a combination of black, symbolic for death and grievance.
