Chapter 66 - The Mysterious Runaway Vampire Princess

"If you don't have something important to say to His Highness taste be sure to prepare an explanation for your arrival or certainly an excuse to secure your head, which you won't be able to save."

The sentry who had the minister tied up with magical energy ropes passed the message sternly in his ear as the man on duty hissed with disgust. His behaviour was quite comparable to the higher ups as the former minister could imagine the wrath of mighty Vampire Lord.

"Sure."

As soon he was thrown into the court hall his stare landed on the mighty- well build silhouette,  wearing a white robe with golden strings adorned on the sides, he was an embodiment of God's beauty, sure certain privileges were granted to vampire community and among them 'beauty' was prominently written without doubt.

"Apologies, my Lord. But I have a prisoner with me you could be interested to see."

The sentry dutifully chapped as he bowed to Vampire Lord, King Drakos.

The minister hopped forward without a delay, fearing that he would be sentenced to death without listening to the story his part.

"My lord, what have I done?"

Master Valos tried to know about his sin which was actually an allegation placed on him! He was told to run away from the kingdom if he wanted to save his life and he followed without waiting to know the terrible sin.

"What have you done!? You are asking me what have you done, Valos? You have committed a great sin by kidnapping my heir, my only daughter!"

The king burst out in anger as his eyes flashed blood red and elongated canines became visible,  shining like platinum.

Old minister, master Valos immediately knelt with hands bound to the energy chains.

"My lord how...how can I do such a terrible deed? Young Princess was dear to me like my own daughter, how can I commit such a sin?"

Deep down king Drakos knew that his most trusted man wouldn't do such a deadly sin especially knowing the horrible circumstances.

"If it weren't you....then why you disappeared along with the young Princess?"

"My king, I didn't intend to do this until....."

He stopped as tears rolled down on his cheeks and coughed a little blood, sure after leaving vampire territory his powers were reduced and were on the verge of disappearing.

King Drakos immediately leaped forward and bent down, sat with his "own " master, the thousands of years old minister and unknowingly a few tears left his sockets.

"Bring blood! Hurry up bring blood immediately. "

"Master Valos, are you alright?"

The king himself fed his master with crystal clear wine glass, containing fresh blood mixed with a few drops of King's as he placed a cut on his thumb, an ancestral royalty blood could heal and awake powers million times faster.

"Yes my lord, I'm alright but our young Princess is not."

He began to sob helplessly as if the old man knew some secret.

King Drakos held him by shoulders with his own mind almost stopped and heart not even pumping!

"W-what do you mean by this, master?"

The old master stuttered as his hands trembled.

"My king, my dear princess is....."

His voice got stuck in throat as he couldn't speak such a terrible memory along with the realization that he got from the clues.

"Young princess... what? Oh heavens! Please speak master!"

The king was about to go insane after hearing the whereabouts of his only daughter, it wasn't safe for her outside when she had a curse on her and a duty to fulfil along with the fact that she had ancestral vampire blood running in her veins.

"My King, the night young princess disappeared, it wasn't something normal. Though the princess disappeared but she was there in the room!"

"Don't make me go crazy. Speak clearly."

The king's tone was inquiring now and a little agitated because the old minister was clearly in a daze after recalling the night.

"My lord, the princess drank from her wine glass and then she cried about her head spinning and then she changed into a mist and then vanished."

He paused again and looked into the King's eyes.

"Drank and vanished!?"

The vampire lord, king Drakos glared as he gritted his teeth. His black iris had already turned to blood red, he was in a rage now.

"Are you trying to tell a story? And came here all the way by risking your life to tell me this after ten years!"

The king yelled aggressively which brought the old minister, master Valos back into senses and in a position to speak the main point.

"N-no, my lord. Young Princess is alive and is residing in the human realm."

Master Valos wanted to utter something else too but was clearly hesitant as no one was allowed to spit anything poisonous about the princess.

Although master Valos was the incharge to teach the young lady the way of royalties and ethics of courtroom along with the codes and conducts of vampire community, he was assigned to her as a personal tutor and had the favour of King Drakos' father.

"Apologies Sire, but I believe the princess ran away herself and accordingly my calculations she knew about the curse."

After completing his sentence the old man scrunched shut his eyes waiting for death to greet him with open arms.

On the other hand the King's eyes were beaming with hope that his daughter was alive, not abducted rather she chose to run away herself. He was still thinking about that night and something wasn't right, how could the princess knew about the curse?

The master was escorted to his room, as the vampire lord cleared his name and declared him innocent of all the allegations, and the king settled himself on the throne drenched in his thoughts, muttering his daughter's name absent minded and calling her with affection.

"Oh! my little bean, be safe, my love."
