Chapter 69 - Mysterious man named Phobe

"Good evening, Mr Phobe."

Sinclair gave him a wide smile in the same manner, Syna sensed the tension in the air as perhaps both men were initiating a cold war.

"Oh! I see you are already having a partner for tonight. I thought you would come with Miss Braille."

The man was holding a wine glass which he swayed while talking as he confirmed.

"Well no, Mr Phobe. You heard wrong, Braille is not fit to stand by my side and I told her this today in the morning. Moreover, I have got the love of my life!"

Sinclair replied him sarcastically holding Syna by shoulder and caressing her cheek with his right hand.

"Is that so? I see why she refused to come here and shut herself in the room!

Well never mind, nice to meet you Miss Syna."

Tsk...Sinclair was pissed off, like she did that and how this guy knew so much about the 'inner' things.

He knew all the drama of elite society after all he was there since decades. Definitely she would be hanging out with another guy after his rejection, the girl didn't even care that Jason MacLaverty was head over heels for her.

Mr Phobe shook hands with Syna, she felt a chill snaked down her spine by his penetrated gaze. Something was in his eyes, hatred or resentment.

"But wait....What Sinclair said? LOVE OF MY LIFE! Was he serious or in his senses?"

Syna stole a glance at his face and was analysing the whole situation while he understood the question in her mind but only smiled back meaningfully.

Syna felt at ease and moved by the act that Sinclair actually publicised their relationship not to forget accepted his feelings in front of others.

"Wait here, I will be right back."

Sinclair said as soon he spotted someone and left.

Syna wandered along the tables and stood by the side of one to try a piece of pastry as her empty stomach growled, she only had breakfast and now it was evening.

When someone patted her shoulder and at once she sensed some heavy aura and turned to have his or her glimpse.

"Mr Brandon!"

A man with muscular body and long black curly hair that were kept neatly, icy fair complexion was standing in front of her dorned in velvety red long Victorian style coat, contrasted with black jeans and shirt.

"It's been a while. What are you doing here, Mr Brighton?"

"Ah! I came here with my friend. I mean, actually he invited me."

"Oh! I see. It doesn't seem that simple to me, what are you doing here?"

The man stood with his arms crossed and narrowed his eyes as he questioned her.

Of course how could a royalty would do such a cheap job of being a journalist and how could he leave her alone knowing about her, it was surprising for him that Syna was called to such a gathering!

Unbeknownst to her there were no humans in the hall except her, it was a grandiloquent gathering of the senate that included the presenters of all realms and Kingdoms, to ensure the further strategies.

Lord Sinclair was invited as the King of Spirit Realm while Syna as his beloved bride was the presenter of human realm, but of course the queen of the Ghost King was unaware of the situation and perilous activities that were being planned indoors.

"Yeah you are right. But it isn't like you are thinking, I'm here with my boss, though I'm not sure what is my purpose here for tonight."

Syna answered him lowering her head in hesitation to hide her flustered expressions and shrugged at the last part.

"Mm...be careful okay. Don't get hurt and don't trust anyone here."

He stretched his hand and caressed her hair lock, warning Syna to which she didn't know how to react.

"Ah! Yeah I will be. Thank you Mr Brighton."

She smiled wholeheartedly nodding.

"That sounds great. Enjoy."

Brandon replied and they both stood there talking.

Sinclair's eyes never left her. In the whole party he was seeing her with his gaze fixed on her wherever she was and whatever she was doing.

"It was a quality time Mr Williams, we enjoyed a lot. We should get going now. Good night."

Sinclair shook hands and walked out towards the parking with Syna.

They both settled in and Sinclair immediately asked her in anxious, half aggressive tone.

"Who was that curly haired guy?"

Syna' eyes were opened wide in a daze as Sinclair was hovering over her. Though his eyes weren't flashing red out of rage, he was in his senses.

"H-he was a friend,  Brandon Brighton."

Sinclair paused for a moment then spoke bluntly, his eyes never left her green orbs.

"Mm....good. you should remember this from now on Syna, that you belong to me and only me."

Syna sat stunned at his blunt second confession and was moved by his clear jealous statement but teased a little.

"What do you mean, boss?"

"Ugh! dammit!"

Sinclair scooped her face in his hands, moved closer to her and slightly touched her lips with the intention of kissing.

Syna could not control herself and her desires moreover it was stupid to do so and to resist at that point. So she responded to his kiss and to him back by placing her hands at the back of his neck.

Sinclair had eaten something mint that his breath was fresh like forest of Amazon while on the other hand Syna had cream puffs that the Lord could not resist to savour her chocolaty mouth, he rolled his tongue with hers and licked every part of her wet mouth, a deep and passionate kiss happened.

"You are only mine, Syna. I love you, dammit!"

Sinclair confessed clearly by spitting out those three magical words to her that every girl wishes to listen.

Syna grasped for air as her lips were a bit swollen by his forceful kiss that turned gentle, Sinclair's taste was still lingering on her lips that turned purplish by smooching.

"I love you too, Sinclair."

Syna confessed to him back as a sign that she forgave him for lying and the Lord embraced her as they both hugged. The moon Goddess along with the God of love,

blessed them both with eternal love and showered the happiness on the destined duo.
