Chapter 84 - My Junior Needs A Bath!

"D-did I do something wrong?"

The lord became worried at once that his hungry beast calmed down after witnessing Syns, he did not want to lose his bride at any cost. Sinclair felt that he might have triggered something wrong which caused Syna to push him and resist his kiss.

"N-no, no it's not like that."

Syna panicked right after his words hit her ears and she shook her head in dismissal of the thought that Sinclair perhaps did something wrong.

"It's just I do not want 'this' to happen here."

Syna lowered her head as she stared at her hands which were resting in Sinclair's lap, she twitched her fingers, digging right thumbnail into the index of the left hand.

"Oh my goodness! I thought I did something wrong or perhaps attempted something out of my limitations."

Sure enough he knew that Syna loved him with all her heart and soul, and the lady would not push him far but the Lord was cautious around her and tend to keep a keen eye for everything, what he says and does.

And for a split second it scared the hell out of him that he might have crossed his limit and hurt Syna, although unintended, only in the attempt to satiate his hunger he broke the heart of his only beloved, for whom he waited for centuries, keeping his chastity only for her.

Sinclair heaved a sigh and let go of Syna' both wrists as he raked through his hair in a relieving state. Syna giggled in her heart as his worrisome behaviour moved the lady, stirring up a lovely feeling in her heart. She sensed his hands went ice cold and now she witnessed him wiping the sweat beads off his broad forehead.

Syna never had a boyfriend and never experienced what it was like being loved by a man. How interesting and lovely could be a relationship between a man and a woman, it was her first time in everything, it was new what she experienced with Sinclair.

The lady did not even imagine and it may have never crossed her mind that one day she would steal the heart of the country's only heartthrob for whom she signed the contract and barged into his resplendent conglomerate just to expose him but now she became a prey herself. The proud journalist never imagined to fall in love with her own prey but now the hunk was also head over heels for her.

Sinclair tucked his back with the car door in a relief but a sudden realization made the lord smirk, and out of the blue Sinclair leaped forward pinning down Syna into her seat as he clutched her wrists slightly above her head again.

"Eh, wait. So, you mean I am allowed to do this and that, once we get back home?"

His naughty mind was running on horsepower now as those were the only words his evil mind stored and the lord reacted immediately upon that information.

"H-hey! No, I didn't say you are allowed to do anything you want."

Syna wanted to scold him for always being hungry and horny for her but her voice became hitched due to the handsome hunk's closeness, as his hazel eyes prayed on her chest which was moving up and down frantically.

"Ah! My bad. I'm still not allowed to attempt anything, even when you are my girlfriend. How pitiful I am."

Sinclair freed her hands as he pushed his body back into the driving seat with a glum expression, which was purely intentional to melt the lady's heart.

"Err, I want to have ice cream."

Syna saw his dropped face and could not think of anything else to lighten the mood, that she blurted out about visiting ice cream parlour. But could that mighty Lord be in such a pitiful state? Well yes, if his wife dominated and rejected him.

"Okay, let's have an ice cream. I also need something cold to put my junior in his place and that option would suffice."

Sinclair started the engine as he carelessly spoke to Syna, it was clearly not the Lord's regular style to act and spout such shameless comments.

But one cannot comprehend how the poison of love changes a person and those two were destined to be together again, moreover Sinclair knew the lady from the beginning and there wasn't anything to hide from her, they were each other's mates.

Although Sinclair had already made up his mind to never utter anything that would trigger anything from their past life. He did not want to tell Syna what she did to him in their previous life rather he would only narrate those halcyon days and beautiful happy memories to her, if it was needed.

He did not want her to feel guilty of her crime she committed, as they were reborn now and that was their past. Sinclair was cautious of never to make her step onto those faded footsteps of the past, as it was useless now when they were given a second chance to rewrite their fates, to fulfil the vow of love they took in their previous life.

"Eh? Junior?"

Syna could not registered what he meant by that and it took a few seconds for her to fathom what Sinclair referred to. And upon the sudden realization she straightened her gaze towards the road, not to peek at his jeans, as her body stiffened at once, she could feel herself burning with heat.

The luxurious Bentley dusted onto the charcoal road again, both were silently sitting as Sinclair's eyes were glued to the road while Syna tucked her head with the glass window as she stared outside.

Many buildings passed by them as they crossed the main junction and headed towards the nearby famous ice cream, sure the dark lord wanted to give his wife the best in all and he did not spare any effort in any regard.

Sinclair turned on the music and to create a light yet romantic atmosphere as he adjusted the volume a bit high. Seven heavenly voices melted the lyrics into their ears like sweet honey as 'Boy With Love' by BTS played a little loud. When she suddenly got reminded of something important to share with Sinclair, completely ruining the good atmosphere.

"Ah! Sinclair, I want to tell you something, something happened yesterday."

Syna initiated the conversation as she stole a glance at Sinclair's face confirming whether she should speak or not, while the Lord kept on driving intently.

"Yes, honey. I'm all ears."

Sinclair responded to her in a serious tone, not because he had been refused by Syna rather he sensed some trouble in wife's voice.

"Yesterday night, actually yesterday a man barged in my out of nowhere and, h-he tried to threaten of something."

Syna narrated the whole thing in a slowpoke manner with a thoughtful tone as she tried to recall the lackey's words.

"About what? Can you tell me something more?"

Sinclair became alarmingly cautious to her words as the grip of his fingers around steering became stronger. The Lord was angry at himself for not being able to protect his bride.

"I don't know anything more, his words seemed strange. He had a burnt scar and it was horrible. I don't know why he didn't kill me and why he came to threaten me, when I never did anything wrong to anyone."

It seemed that Syna became terrified upon the recalling of the incident as her hands began to shake a little. Sinclair acknowledged the fact that in this life, after being reborn his bride was intellectual and sure she would remember the lackey's words.

The lady did not intentionally refrain herself from narrating everything to her husband-to-be, but there wasn't any memory of the dialogues she exchanged with the lackey. It seemed as if someone erased her memories in order to seal his or her identity.

"Don't worry, Syna. It's all over now and I am here now, to protect you. And no matter what storm will head towards you I will be there to face it first. Moreover, the lackey was caught last night after he left your room."

How could the mighty Lord leave his bride alone, without any protection when we went to visit Hades. Elmore Drago was there to guard the lady and as soon as the lackey left Syna' room, he grabbed the spirit immediately.

But before he could investigate anything the spirit burnt itself, thus dying and vanishing into thin air like smoke. The guard became assured that the lackey was a mere pawn in the whole game, and someone was messing with them from the shadows.

"Thank you, Sinclair."

Syna heaved a sigh as she felt a hard lump rolling off her chest, she was appreciating Sinclair's efforts to protect her and was moved by his sincerity in their relationship. She acknowledged him as her knight in shining armour, who would always be there to protect his lady.
