Chapter 86 - Homewrecker, Poor Jade Lombardi

"Haha! Your decision power is totally null, little kitten. Let me decide, because if you did it will take another hour."

Sinclair tucked his both hands above hips as he boasted about himself and seemed pinocchio to Syna.

She knew his nose would grow longer any moment but isn't it false, for a tycoon who was ruling business world by fair means, his decision power must be accurate that led the lord to heights. The duo strode back towards their seating.

The wallpaper on each was sky blue, a perfect contrast with white furniture. A girl in white skirt that hung in her mid thigh, wearing a black apron approached both for their order with a yellow notepad in her left hand and a gel pen in right.

Sinclair placed the order for both of them in one go as he overlooked Syna.

"Double chocolate, three scoops with extra chips and extra chocolate sauce".

The waitress acknowledged the multimillionaire at one glance, who wouldn't when Sinclair MacLaverty was invading the Google every now and then.

Syna was eager to taste the richness of chocolate cream, as she wet her lips nearly imagining what would it taste like, it had been months she did outing and had a few spoons of ice cream.

While Sinclair chuckled upon her 'childish act' and asked the waitress, who was staring at Sinclair completely mesmerized by his closer view, whether she took the order carefully because he hated his things being at fault in every regard, either it was a casual matter or a business thing.

"See, I am neither a turtle nor easily distracted."

Of course that was out of pure tease, as he smirked at Syna with a proud smile. The lady glared at him which he pretended to ignore and to take revenge she ordered

'coffee flavour ice cream.'

"What!?"

Sinclair raised his both hands in the air with a questioning look while the waitress glanced at Syna with a disgusting and disapproving expression. She wrote down their order and in rage the nib of her gel pen made a forced spot in her notepad.

"Nothing. What did I say? Nothing!"

Syna pretended to be innocent and acted like an obedient child as she interlaced her both hands while placing them on the edge of the table, while the waitress went off forcing a smile at them.

They both started talking comfortably and Sinclair took the initiative to narrate his own story, as in this life Syna was completely blank and Sinclair was a new person for her. A stranger whom she had to study before diving into the ocean of his love.

"So, I want to share my story with you, Syna."

Sinclair was ready to tell her everything and a seriousness came across his face as he began in a sincere yet glum tone.

"Well my mother died when I was young and our kingdom was invaded by someone unknown, and my father the former Ghost King sent us here in human realm with the former minister before they both died in an attempt to save us."

Sinclair sat there with a stone faced expression as the mighty lord was narrating his traumatic childhood to his bride.

"My brother also visits human realm but seldom, he prefers to remain in Spirit Realm. Like you Syna, I also have a secret that I never told anyone. As I'm on sincere terms with you that is why I'm sharing it."

Syna held his hand and squeezed it a little to stop him from going further, when Sinclair lifted his head,  a tear slipped from her eyes, she could feel his pain as she had already lost her parents in this life. They died protecting her although she never saw them but still her heart ache every time she recalled.

"It's okay, It's okay, and it's enough for now. We should burn down our past after sharing it, if we want a future with each other."

Syna looked into his eyes and gave Sinclair a genuine smile, both shares the similar tragedy of losing their parents.

Sinclair was staring  unbelieving at her words, his naive bride was mature enough to handle their relationship with intellect, this time.

"Thank you, Syna. I believe in you and your capabilities. Moreover, I know you will keep my little secret safe with you."

"Of course I would, we are a couple now, Mr Sinclair MacLaverty."

She chipped in excitement but at the very spot the situation reminded her about the original task, but Syna didn't care now. She decided to resign from her post of being a journalist as now she had something else to do, someone to pursue and cherish.

"I started taking things from a business point of view until you arrived and everything changed. You know, Syna, your presence made me into a new man. Maybe you won't believe me but you are the only one I fell in love with."

His voice became a bit loud as the lord tried to assure her, clearing the rumour about him being a womanizer boss.

"Sshush! I believe in you. No one tells his or her dark secrets to anyone. It's okay, my pie. Forget about it that you ever told me anything."

She winked at him playfully to elevate his mood which caused Sinclair chuckle.

The waitress came along with their order and Syna immediately dug her long spoon into the ice cream mountain! The love was in the air and everything was going fine. The duo was head over heels in love with each other by now. The richness of cream was on their tongues but the sweetness was in their hearts.

When a slender silhouette appeared near them and a familiar voice interrupted the lovely scene.

"Hello! my love."

Jade Lombardi was standing there in her short plum coloured dress and obviously she addressed Sinclair with that sugary tone. Syna was still unaware of her relationship to Sinclair let alone the fact about her being married and having a son.

"What are you doing here?"

Sinclair returned her greeting with a question but his tone was shocking yet polite.

"Aw! What a rude greeting. Obviously I'm here for a dessert."

She replied waving her one hand, then she overlooked Syna. Sinclair crafted out a play as he guided his lovely, kind cousin through telepathy.

"Can I join you both?"

She questioned both but her eyes were stitched with Syna' deadly glare. The innocent lady mistook Jade for another slut who was chasing her Sinclair like Braille Matteo.

"No! We are here for our private moments."

Syna refused her flatly in one go. Jade cursed Sinclair through telepathy as she proceeded further with her role of homewrecker! The lady was far better in acting comparatively the top female actors.

"Oh! Like you used to spend with me. I miss those physical pleasures!"

She stressed upon the last two words obviously to see Syna' expressions as Sinclair wanted to see her passion in their relationship. Obviously who the hell enjoys those kind of moments in public?

They were there for ice cream as Jade, herself arrived there to fetch the favourite ice cream of her son as the reward of that teen boy, who successfully learnt to tame his newly awakened powers.

Before Sinclair could say anything Syna stood up to give her a face slapping answer, as the bride didn't imagine Jade to be that kind of woman.

"Actually those kinda moments a husband wants to spend with his wife!"

Jade pretended to cringe at the answer while deep down she blessed her cousin and his bride. Sinclair stood up and held Syna by shoulders to prove her reply 'true'.

"You heard her?"

"Yeah, yeah!"

Jade waved in disgust as she ebbed to leave. Her work was done as Sinclair got to hear and see what he wanted. Before leaving she cursed Sinclair for ruining her image, but the Lord knew that his cousin could manage to clear up the things easily.

"Whoa! Syna"

Sinclair was still stunned at her reply, he did not imagine her to fight back elegantly with such a strong demeanour. Syna brushed her cheek with the nail of her index finger ,within the mixed feelings of embarrassment and blush.

"Well...I could not think of any best answer than that."

Sinclair chuckled and pinched her nose.

"It was quite a good one though. Well done, Mrs Sinclair MacLaverty!"

He teased her with that title again, upon which her cheeks got red, and the spark of love circulated in her body.

"Your words were true, I guess I need to propose you as soon as possible."

As Sinclair seated himself again in the chair he muddled for an interminable moment and then chipped to Syna in a thoughtful manner.

"Ouch! Mr Sinclair, you will break a million hearts after pulling that stunt!"

Syna at first pretended to get hurt as she placed her right hand on heart and playfully acted 'ouch', which caused Sinclair to laugh out loud.
