"Are you people done with eavesdropping? Am I paying you for sticking your ears to my door, huh?"
Sinclair walked out of his cabin and saw a rabble of office employees standing right outside his door with their bodies leaned towards the entrance. The ice king of the conglomerate frowned as a few horizontal lines creased his forehead, he clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, an unsuccessful attempt to suppress his anger.
Sinclair knew that there were a few spies if Braille and it was just a piece of came for him to pick them out from a swarm of talented young employees, although he could fire them within a snap but he didn't want them to lose their jobs just because they remained unsuccessful in providing his weakness to their master, the Crowned Princess of Vampire kingdom, who ran away leaving all the luxuries and kicking the crown just for Sinclair MacLaverty.
"N-no sir, actually we...we weren't listening to your conversation rather…"
A man appeared in his sight, who was apparently pushed to the front, to face the music. Sweat beads began to pop from his temples, the employee was trembling under Sinclair's penetrating stare.
The mighty CEO of the conglomerate was a ruthless lion, whom everyone feared, even his previous personal secretaries were obliged to obey him, wagging their tails and without questioning. Thus, the young employee knew that he would be losing his job if some decent words didn't come out from his mouth urgently.
Sinclair couldn't take it anymore, he had a meeting in a while and now those mere humans flared up his temper by their insolent and immoral behaviour. He could easily wring their necks off the torso but again Syna was inside his cabin and he didn't want her to witness any bloodshed. But how long could he protect her, was the goddess lenient with them in this life?
"Shut up!"
Sinclair closed his eyes before they flashed some color, indicating that the mysteriously rumoured CEO wasn't an ordinary human. His loud voice resonated throughout the corridor that forced the employees to shut their mouths and muffle the useless blabbering because they were already successful in inviting his rage, along with the expected wrath.
All of them gulped at once, their fears were proven to be true, the mighty boss was angry now. Sinclair shouted on the of his lungs as his eyes threw spades of anger and agitation at them, those employees actually did something daringly and pushed the chief of that floor to explain the things.
"Get out of my sight you all, at once! Go to work NOW!"
The angry CEO was holding his coat hung onto the shoulder while his other hand was fished into the pocket of his blue striped jeans. His thunderous voice fell into their ears like the damnation order of angel of death, or the employees perhaps saw him that way.
They all trembled at the very yelling and immediately scattered, running towards their seats. Sinclair could hear the thumping of shoes and the ticking of heels, which of course wasn't defined. He pinched the tip of his nose as heaved a sigh of relief, now another task was up waiting for his eyes to fix it.
"Tch..these curious cats! I have to do something with them soon, or else they will go on gossiping about us."
He muddled to himself and glanced at the Rolex that shined at his right wrist, the taste well matched his authoritative antics.
"Firstly, let's have this deal done."
The ruckus made the lord of boardroom run late, he preferred to seal the deal with the foreigners first before fixing his employees.
He draped the coat which was matched with the design of jeans, and inhaled the air deeply to let out all his frustration caused by his employees. It was easy to flare up his mood and to invite his rage, the employees were fully aware of their boss's temperament but their curious asses provoked to sneakily eavesdrop. Unfortunately they got caught after Sinclair headed out of the cabin to toed, leaving Syna inside.
He knew what was going to happen and how he was going to teach them a lesson by scolding and scaring them to death, so he formed a barrier that didn't let Syna to hear a single word he said to them. Although everyone knew that Syna was his personal secretary but the affairs between a boss and secretary weren't something unknown to everyone.
Rumours spread like wildfire as soon as they sensed Sinclair's different gazes and unusual behaviour towards Syna, things got worse when an employee saw her getting into Sinclair's Bentley, the day both went to ice cream parlour. It could be a meeting outdoors but they must have seen billionaire CEO romance movies or read such novels in which secretary seduced her boss.
"Why? Just how she is superior to me in any way? Why don't you see me rather you have your eyes fixated on that fox!"
A lady was sitting in her chair, covered by three wooden planks that summed up her making her working place, she clenched her fist in anger that the long painted nails were dug into her skin a few inches deep, but the venom of jealousy was running in her veins so strongly that she didn't feel the pain.
"I won't let you steal my man, you can't have him till I'm alive. Just wait and watch, Syna. I will teach you a lesson for landing your eyes on my Sinclair."
She slammed her first on the white wooden desk so forcefully that jolted the LED a little, the lady was raging with anger and was ready to unleash her hatred upon Syna. A flicker of determination flashed in her Oceania blue eyes as she planned on to 'save' her man from the seductive trap of that fox.
She was the one who saw Syna entering into the conglomerate, all dressed up. Her anger rose when she headed straight towards Sinclair's cabin without even informing and marking her presence on the front desk. The obsessive lady followed her immediately and spread the word that Syna was seducing the lord in his cabin. The other fools believed her and followed towards the cabin of their boss but ended up being scolded badly.
