[ Flashback ]

Adriana tossed the handbag of Caitlyn on the floor, she stared at the cheap accessory and dusted off her hands. After all, Braille had provided her accessories and all the necessary stuff to satisfy her materialistic greed and to stuff her mouth with money.

'The Baddest Female' was playing in a feeble volume, perhaps some employee was listening to it as the mighty strict CEO Sinclair MacLaverty was on the seventh floor to attend an important meeting, the merger would brought them mutual benefit and that was the sole reason Sinclair MacLaverty decided to conduct the meeting himself.

[ Flashback ended ]

The swarm of fuming badass ladies walked up to the cabin of their boss, while not a single soul dared to stop them or perhaps they did not get a chance to step out to them.

Adriana stepped forward and strode with a little faster pace to reach ahead as she was left behind earlier, when the lady was dropping the handbag which she had stolen from Caitlyn.

'I will see how you dare to escape now, you little bitch!'

Adriana was already fuming with ire with the mere thought that Syna had snatched 'her' man and now was keeping Sinclair under her spell. She placed her right hand on the doorknob and rotated it to open, the wooden immaculate door flung open wide, the sudden intruding activity left her stunned yet a little terrified.

The innocent bride had already encountered the unfortunate meeting with the lackey, which had left a horror struck sensation in her heart. The doorknob collided with the wall loudly, the noise alerted Syna, forcing her to shot up from the sofa.

Adriana's rage flared up even more to a dangerous extent after witnessing Syna laying on the couch carelessly and freely, the book which was earlier resting on her chest whilst the lady had dozed off in between reading the novel, dropped down and fell on the carpeted floor as soon as Syna stood up haphazardly after hearing the bang of the door.

"You slut! You sure are bold enough to sit here carelessly in the cabin of the boss."

Adriana stood up and fired the insulting words at Syna, who was not in a position to respond to her raging comments.

"W-what?"

Syna curled her right hand into fist and rubbed it on eyes, not registering what Adriana was spouting. She had just woken up from a nap and her mind was still in a sleeping state, anyone who would wake up forcefully perhaps would act like that.

"Do we have to repeat, huh? What do you mean by 'what'?"

Another lady who was standing a few steps behind Adriana, immediately muttered. Not a single lady was in a mood to spare Syna that day, she was the same woman who was showing off her freshly shaved long legs, when the elevator had arrived on that floor.

"No, but what are you guys talking about?"

Syna cast a look at them, she didn't feel terrified or any sort of term that would come under 'fear', crossed her face. Although, her expressions clearly showed that the bride was quizzical upon the sudden intrusion of that swarm of female staff.

"Whoa!"

Adriana immediately gave a mocking expression as if she was praising Syna for something, she clapped her hands by raising them to the level of her shoulders.

"See...I told you, she is a sly fox."

Adriana turned around and faced other ladies as she commented Syna with a vicious tone.

"Excuse me? What fox? Is that how you will slander me without any specific reason?"

Syna burst out in anger after hearing that how Adriana was building her image and convincing the ladies into believing her words blindly. She crooked her eyebrow and questioned in a commanding tone as she folded her arms, tucking it to her breasts.

Although, Syna refrained herself from unleashing the anger, the way Adriana did. She needed to create a difference between her and Adriana, so that something could distinguish them both, who is right and who was on the wrong side.

"WITHOUT ANY SPECIFIC REASON?"

Adriana emphasized the words, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists.

"Girl, do you even need us to elaborate you the reason why we are here, huh?"

Before Syna could answer to her impudent behaviour, another lady behind Adriana, standing on her left spouted loudly as she walked forward towards Syna.

"Yes, absolutely."

Syna cut her short as she stood there in front of that dangerous pack of wolves with an austere expression, she seemed undefeated in front of her because Syna was not intending to give to those bitchy bimbos.

"You have to give me a reason for which you all are gathered here and on the top of it talking to me like that!"

Sensing that Syna was giving them a hard time as the lady was quite good with words, Adriana decided to take the charge before she would lose the agreement of her comrades, who had blindly decided to follow her lead without even pondering for twice that whether Syna deserved all that humiliation or not.

"Oh?"

Adriana again mockingly spoke to her, levelling Syna with a deadly scowl, the obsessive lady resembled a mad woman who was ready to wring someone's neck, if anyone dared to snatch her belongings.

"Then how else we are supposed to talk to you when you are playing dirty here, in our company."

Adriana Knew how to play with words which would not loose the desired emphasis or let anyone get stray from the topic and fall for Syna's innocent act.

"Playing dirty? Whomever you are, miss, I don't know why you are doing this but…"

Syna raised her voice which resonated in the cabin, along with the increasingly beating hearts of each lady. The bride of the Ghost Lord addressed Adriana in the similar way as a counter attack on her, and left the sentence in between as she oogle Adriana with a grin.

"...but I am not playing anything dirty and you guys, stop watching so many B grade CEO movies. Here, it is... nothing going on... anything like that."

Syna shifted her eyes towards the other ladies and levelled them with a scowl, as she suggested those fools not to do assumption blindly without verifying anything.

"How can you justify that it is nothing like we are assuming? After all, anyone here can see how boldly you were sitting in the couch, taking the cabin as your own. DO  NOT YOU DARE TO MISTAKE THE LENIENCY OF THE BOSS AS LOVE!"

Another lady popped her head out of that swarm and dared to threaten Syna.

After witnessing the lady accomplishing the task on Adriana's behalf, a smile graced her lips which turned into a devilish smirk upon seeing Syna's widened eyes.

"Listen here, you bitch! I am not in that kind of relationship with boss, and I think you might have forgotten that I am currently the personal secretary of CEO Sinclair MacLaverty. Don't you think I am obliged to roam around in his cabin, including sitting in his cabin for as long as I want?"

Syna knew how to justify herself, acknowledging the fact that she couldn't afford to disclose her relationship with Sinclair MacLaverty, who was unknowingly ruling over every single female heart in the conglomerate or perhaps every woman, either married or single.

Moreover, it was a bad timing to disclose such a thunder striking news at that crucial moment when Syna was already facing the wrath of Sinclair's admirers. Thus, she decided to push that thought of 'being his girlfriend' at the back of her head and insisted to play by the other position she held, which was definitely keeping her close by Sinclair even in the office timings.

"YOU…How dare you!"

Adriana got flared up at once on the short speech Syna made, obviously every single word hit her heart like a deadly attack of an arrow, she leaped forward shoving aside the other petite lady who had earlier strode forward towards Syna and stretched her hand out to land a hard slap on Syna's right cheek.

Syna's body acted reflexively and she she bend towards left in a failed attempt to avoid her slap, when a loud bang on the door forced the ladies to freeze in their positions, every single lady present in the cabin turned their necks to see a glaring silhouette.
