"But Jade...he is gay!"
Sinclair burst out his worry, spilling the beans and definitely it made him uneasy whilst Hades was trying hard to suppress his laughter.
"What? You should know how awkward it would get, me and him sitting in one room, possibly alone!"
Sinclair gave some 'what the hell' expressions to Hades as he held his head within both hands, everything was spinning around him.
"Come on, you wife's slave! Even if he does anything to you just enjoy it, okay. No big deal."
Hades tried to suppress his laughter and suggested Sinclair to play by the game, pretending that he is bisexual.
"Oh yeah? If you found this such a good opportunity then why don't you go on my behalf, I even allow you to pretend to be the Ghost Lord! What do you say, my dear friend?"
Sinclair gave him a mocking look while provoking Hades, totally acknowledging that it will trigger his rage as the topic did to him.
Sinclair was waiting for his answer while sitting on the chair, his elbow on the wooden table, while Jade Lombardi and Hades sat on the chairs opposite to his, in the cabin.
"What are you insane!? How can I cheat on Hestia, I am not going on your behalf in any way!"
As Sinclair had expected Brandon aka Hades vented his anger on Sinclair, as he shot up from his seat which caused the chair having wheels, to crawl away from him. Hades slammed the palms of his hands on the wooden table that forced an evil grin on Sinclair's face.
"See, you got hyper right after I finished saying it, it did the same to me. How can I do that to Syna when you are unwilling to cheat on your mate, dude?"
Sinclair's reply made him ponder for a moment and Hades realized that what he said in fun was not actually even funny at all.
'He is right, I love Hestia and Syna equally, how could I?'
Sinclair had forced Hades to think about his own words as it is mostly our actions and words which reflect our feelings.
"Leave this all, sit down Brandon."
Sinclair gestured to him, knowing that he made the situation awkward, while Jade didn't speak a single word, the lady knew it was a man to man talk, moreover they were defending their mates.
Sinclair shifted his eyes towards Jade Lombardi and questioned him once again.
"Okay, so I will be visiting Iñigo de Raizel, this coming weekend as you guys suggested."
Jade nodded in agreement as soon as Sinclair finished, his fingers were entwined and placed beneath the chin, the lord was still in an utter confusion whether to accept the invitation of the vampire noble Lord or not.
"By the way, where is Syna? It is quite late now that she is gone."
Sinclair's eyes landed on the tea cup which was placed nearby on the table, it had a lipstick mark on the wide mouth. The mere sight stirred emotions within him that the Lord felt himself up again, hungry for her.
Sinclair could feel Syna's desires and read her thoughts, but surprisingly it happened only a few times. The Lord had magically made the tea appeared on the table, when he sensed that Syna got immersed into some reading which had overwhelmed her with emotions.
"Oh, yeah, it is late now. Let me give a call to Chloe to fetch Syna back."
Jade Lombardi straightened herself up and rattled out cellphone from her branded handbag.
While on the other side Chloe took her call back after she had helped Adriana and other unknowingly by locking Syna in the record room, who would have known that Chloe was also in that endlessly long list of women who were obsessively in love with the powerful business tycoon, Sinclair MacLaverty.
"Ah! Ma'am, Miss Syna, asked me to leave her and said she wanted to wander all alone, but it has been too long. She sent me off strictly perhaps Miss Syna was feeling awkward having me around, serving her as a bodyguard."
Chloe narrated out the scenario, building up the whole tale while the cunning lady kept her tone as sweet as it was possible to talk on a call.
"Oh, I see, where you left her?"
Jade thought for a moment, suspecting that something was certainly fishy with the story Chloe had narrated to her. All she could do was to ask Syna's whereabouts to check whether the naive girl was fine or not.
Jade Lombardi knew the tragic love story of Sinclair MacLaverty and Syna Rhys, which had occurred in the past life, the lady knew how naive Syna was, the bride was an easy prey to fool and that was what had happened once with her in the previous life. Jade feared that the history might repeat itself and this time it was her, who had left Syna alone.
Although, Jade had never suspected Chloe before but of course it wasn't Syna in between Chloe's adoration towards the CEO Sinclair MacLaverty. Jade knew that Syna could handle herself very well but as for that moment, firstly she needed to face Sinclair's scolding and anger for leaving his bride alone in such a huge building.
"The east side of company ma'am, the corridor which leads towards the record room of fifth floor. I'm sorry ma'am, I should not have left Miss Syna alone but she insisted on so much."
Chloe tried hard to sound pitiful and innocent after conducting such a spiteful action of locking Syna in the record room.
The lady told Syna's whereabouts deliberately, so no one would suspect her and that she only wanted to scare Syna, Chloe had fully acknowledged that the lock of the record room was broken since two days and got locked automatically whenever someone steps inside.
"Okay, no, it is not your fault but you should have informed Syna not to step into the rooms which are reserved for CEO Sinclair's personal speculation."
Jade casually said that to Chloe, trying to take the hint whether Chloe was involved in any ruckus or not.
"Yes, ma'am. I had already instructed Miss Syna in that regard."
The sly woman knew how to play with words that would help her out to sneak away from what she had done, Chloe seemed to have been using a greater part of her brain comparatively Adriana, who reacted impulsively on the instructions given by Braille.
