[ Meanwhile ]
Whereas the Lord was worried about the wellbeing of his bride, Syna was having the worst nightmare of her life, sometimes a mere misunderstanding sprouts a thorn in the midst of the garden of love.
Similarly Syna's senses were fully blocked, it wasn't a normal comatose rather the curse had created a barrier between her and the outside world that Syna couldn't hear Sinclair's ranting, let alone the horrible truth and his confession.
That is how the thorn of suspicion blinds the senses and corrupts the mind with further pessimistic thoughts, negative assumptions which mostly turned out to be wrong in most cases. Syna was passing through the same whirlpool of the life, that the lady was supposed to listen to her own heart now, to rely on the intuition because the blood curse had blocked her senses.
She couldn't interpret the surroundings with her closed eyes, while Sinclair was driving fastly towards the manor, the blood curse, as the weird name stated was supposed to be lifted up by the thread if trust, which was supposed to develop in the couple, as the poison of love affects the hearts, corrupts the working of mind, and targets the soul bonds, it also bind the couple with the pact of blood!
The vow of love along with the pact of blood, that both of the partners will remain loyal to each other till eternity. Meanwhile Sinclair was having trouble to calm down his popping nerves, Syna was busy in dreaming a nightmare, which was nothing else than an assumption which her heart was believing and her mind was playing like a film!
●The nightmarish dream!●
Sinclair was impatiently waiting for someone, roaming around in his cabin, staring at his desk blankly, while tapping his shoes against the floor.
'What is he doing?'
Syna questioned to herself as she moved towards the table, the lady felt a part of her soul witnessing everything which was going to occur in that room.
[Syna is present in the room, invisible to everyone, in a soul form, apparently she is dreaming.]
He had prepared a speech, muttering the words to himself many times but was still hesitating and confused, that how the lady would react, maybe he was expecting someone.
'I am here, right beside him, whom he is looking for?'
Syna strode towards him and halted right in front of her, but Sinclair's eyes didn't shift the direction towards her. It seemed as if the lady was totally invisible to him or perhaps he was deliberately ignoring her, but was that possible?
A lady soon entered the cabin as the door opened with a squeak sound, and at once Sinclair's senses awakened.
'This bitch! Seducing my boyfriend!'
Syna got infuriated by the sight in front of her, Jade arrived in the room wearing a red bodycon dress.
Sinclair inhaled her aura and scent, which had an amalgamation of vampire and ghost, then scanned her appearance. She was draped in purple dress that was hugging her tempting curves, Jade flaunt her perfect body and her elegant raven hair.
'Wait, what is she doing here? She locked me in the room and now seducing Sinclair here!'
The sudden realization struck Syna that she was invisible to them or perhaps…
'Fuck! Did I die? And now I'm a ghost, invisible to them. Why the hell I'm here witnessing this shameless duo making love!'
The bride felt her heart shrinking, as if the organ was destroyed now due to the spades of cheating and treachery, she had believed them both but in turn got ditched and heartbreak.
Jade was wearing totally an opposite from her usual dressing, as Syna had seen. Yes, she was there with the aim to make Sinclair fall in love with her, but everything was happening in Syna's dream, the curse was trying to make her believe the false assumption which she had already fixed in her head.
'No, no, fucking no! How could you both kill me and do this?'
"You are late, honey."
Sinclair cleared his throat and maintained his image, while he was plopped comfortably in the chair, waiting for Jade to take the charge. Although, he stared at her jaw dropped, his eyes fixated on her beautiful silhouette.
"Ah! Sorry, dear cousin. My brother arrived last night, you know, a brother and sister time, how it goes."
Jade approached him playfully and trailed his beard with her fingers, as the lady sat on his lap.
'Shit! Why am I seeing this, I have to walk out. Please have mercy, supreme deity.'
Syna had already attempted to move earlier but it seemed that her body was frozen in the place, right beside the wooden table. Tears swelled up in her eyes which actually showed up in the corners of her eyes, in reality.
[ Tears in her body, she is laying unconscious in the car ]
Sinclair shot up at once and took her to the sofa nearby in the cabin.
"Jade, I - I want to tell you something."
Jade was staring at him blankly, her heart was about to explode by his touch and penetrated gaze, so a Syna's crestfallen one.
"You don't have to hesitate, Sinclair, Syna is gone now, long dead!"
Sinclair smiled devilishly, but for the first time Syna cringed on his posture, she wanted to slap them both but the lady had already acknowledged that she was now a ghost, without a body, without a touch!
"Actually, I - Jade, I don't know how but...but I think you were there at my place last night, you little thing sneak in?"
Sinclair raised his eyebrows to confirm and Jade nodded in agreement.
"It doesn't matter to me how you get in there but the point is that my love for Syna wasn't the truth. I only love you and I really want you in my life."
Sinclair paused as he was speaking with his head lowered and holding Jade's hand, making an eye contact with her as he finally uttered.
"Jade, will you marry me?"
Jade became shocked by the confession but there were still many pending questions in Syna's mind, her eyes were filled with tears after hearing Sinclair confessing, in eyes as she heard Jade whispering into the Lord's ear with a raspy voice.
"Sinclair, I'm already pregnant with your child, my love!"
Sinclair didn't know how to react to the revelation, the Lord shot up at once and exclaimed with joy, not knowing whether to say anything or to stare in Jade's eyes. Syna felt as if her heart stopped at the very moment, the words fell in her ears, the bride gasped with a helpless sigh.
"What! You are carrying my child! And you are telling me now, Jade!"
Jade felt relieved, her brother was right that Sinclair, the father of the child will accept him.
"So, will you accept him?"
"Why not? He is my child, my heir!"
Sinclair brushed his hair back, Syna was shaking by now that her boyfriend had blurted out the secret of the child, and her hunch was correct.
"Actually, you were drugged that night Jade and I had to…I swear it was not intentional. I really wanted to tell you this but I was scared that, how will you react because I had to save you and that was the only way."
Sinclair paused for a moment to see Jade, while Syna was blankly staring at the duo, wondering that how the fate had mocked her, another lady was sitting in her place now.
"I'm sorry, my love, that I left you alone after that night, but it won't happen again. I love you and I still want to marry you, accepting my child."
Jade felt as if she was in heaven, the man she loved, and shared intimacy adored her too.
"Oh, Sinclair, I don't know what to say."
She let out a nervous laugh.
"Just say yes, honey. The rest I will handle the rest of the problems, I promise."
He held her hand firm and pressed a bit, with every passing second Syna wished to get burned or to vanish, or the ground to split up into two, so that she would not have to see those two shameless, trickster people.
"Yes!"
Jade replied in a low tone then out loud with joy.
"Yes! Oh my God, yes, yes I will marry you Mr Sinclair MacLaverty."
Sinclair let out a giggle.
"I'm the luckiest man that I have you now. I really want to make you Mrs. Jade Sinclair MacLaverty."
Jade blushed as they both tucked their foreheads together enjoying the beautiful moment.
"Would you love me with the same passion after ten years too?"
She whispered to him inquiring.
"Oh, how could I not, you are my love and the mother of my child!"
Sinclair replied as he kissed her cheek, rubbing his right thumb on the back of her hand.
Syna felt her body going numb and heart about to burst, she trusted them both but they teamed up and conspired against her, Syna understood the whole game that she was a thorn to both since the beginning and now she was not going to trust anyone, but will the lady be able to trust Sinclair for once, to lift the curse?
Will she be able to hear her heart for once more, or will remain trapped into the curse of dreams and illusions for eternity? Whilst the Lord was trying his best to wake her up, will Syna ever know how much efforts Sinclair was placing in, to get her back?
