Chapter 8. [VTuber Scholastic Achievement Test]
“So today, I will be the moderator of this event, and I am a current teacher VTuber–”
>It’s heree!
>I’ve been waiting for this!
>The members are too gorgeous!
“This stream is the ‘answer-response’ version, so if you want to do it alongside us, we recommend you watch the ‘test’ version of each livers first. Now, let’s have all the test livers say hello to each other! First of all–”
The background looks like a school classroom, with illustrations of desks and chairs.
Each desk is decorated with a group of drivers as if they are sitting on the desk.
Each of the livers, in turn, gave their usual greeting phrases and enthusiasm.
“Next up…”
“How are you doing, everyone? I’m everyone’s big anego☆ I’m Monet Anegasaki☆.”
>I love Anego!
>I love Anego!
>I love Anego!
“Well, today I’m going to show off my genius brain! I’m going to show my adult dignity by making Iroha-chan cry in a fit of rage☆.”
>Why are you so full of confidence?
>You’re a genius, in a way.
>I wonder which one of you will be the one to cry?
“And last but not least, the current elementary school girl VTuber who planned this project!”
“My words to you! I’m Iroha, the translator girl who translates. Wow, why are there so many famous livers here? Wow, yikes, my nose is bleeding from excitement.”
>Eh, a stiff nosebleed?
>Are you alright?
>You’re still a VTuber otaku. LOL
“Well, ah, it looks like Iroha-san got a nosebleed, so please wait a moment. In the meantime, let me explain this project. The project started with–”
Oh, no,! I’m bothering everyone!
I hurriedly stuffed a tissue up my nose and returned to the delivery with a nasal voice.
“– and it looks like Iroha-san is back, too. Now, let’s have Mr. Iroha explain to the English-speaking world, and finally, let’s do the answers! The first subject is–”
And so the answer-taking proceeded.
The event was unexpectedly large-scale. The number of participants and the unique personalities of the VTubers made for a noisy and lively distribution.
“Someone is answering a science question with an illustration!
“Oh, no! I thought it was an art test. ”
>Anego.
>And it’s all wrong
>Only the picture is so good is surreal www
I’m not sure what to think.
“I told you it was an arithmetic problem! Who’s using trigonometric functions!”
“Sorry, that’s me. That’s me. ……”
>!?!?!?!?!!?
>Hey, you adult livers are losing.
>Livers who didn’t even solve it should reflect.
And.
“Among them is an idiot who made a VTuber appear on a social studies test.”
“What? Wasn’t it Oyabin who created the Kamakura Shogunate!”
>Anego.
>I’m not sure why there are VTubers in that period.
>We should start over from elementary school.
And.
“This Kanji question, oh my! Not a single person answered correctly! Do you get it? This is elementary school Japanese! Don’t you slack off because your computer translates it for you!”
>LOL
>A theory that all VTubers are weak in Kanji characters.
>My ears hurt too!
And.
“Um, is this English sentence incorrect?”
“This is Iroha-chan’s solution, but I couldn’t determine whether it was correct or incorrect, so I consulted an English teacher I know. As a result, although it is correct as a colloquialism in the real world, it was judged to be incorrect this time because it is a junior high school entrance examination.”
>I didn’t know there was such a pattern.
>The reason for the incorrect answer is too special.
>And I know a returnee who only got an 80 on the English exam.
And so on.
The delivery went on, causing trouble from start to finish.
And.
“Now the scoring of all subjects has been completed. So, here are the results! Let’s start with the runner-up. This time, the second-place winner was–”
The moderator read the winners one by one, and the livers were happy and sad.
What? Huh? The moderator hasn’t called my name?
“So, the announcements have finished up to the booby prize, and only two left. That is, one of them is the winner, and one of them is the last place. The 1st VTuber Scholastic Achievement Test winner is–Iroha the Translator Girl! Congratulations!”
“Eeeeeeee~! Why meeeee?
“And the last place! The one who got the title of “Idiot” is Monet Anegasaki~!”
“Eeeeeeeeeee~! Why meeeeeee!
“In addition, the ranking of each subject…”
Everyone’s scores are displayed on the screen.
What, no way! No, no, no. Everyone is terrible!?
I couldn’t solve this test at all. That’s why I didn’t intentionally cut corners.
I thought I would lose even if I did this the usual way.
However, the other test takers couldn’t solve the test at all.
Of course, many members were playing for laughs. But the question itself seemed to be harder than that.
By the way, even though I won. There was not much difference in points between the second-place winner and me.
I was still the winner, probably because I am still active in the field. I had been studying hard for the past month, and that helped me.
>We’re all in shambles.
>This is a no-brainer (except for Anego).
>I did it too, but it was hard.
>I heard some junior high school entrance exams are on the college entrance exam level.
>I almost got a perfect score.
And so the VTuber Achievement Test was over.
Ah-nee, who won the title of “Idiot” kept on and on booing, “I’m not an idiot, I’m sure there was a scoring error because I’m at the bottom of the class.”, but everyone ignored her.
On the other hand, I won, but.
What? I thought this stream’s purpose was to make my parents give up on the junior high school entrance exam, saying, “I knew it would be tough”.
“Iroha, you should take the entrance exam after all!”
Sure enough, that’s what my parents told me.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
