Chapter 118 Third Evolution, Part 1/2

Miss glade opened her eyes after her unconscious debuff finally expired. Everything around her was dark and damp, with only dim light coming from up. There was nothing around her except cold stone walls going at least four floors upwards.

'Am I in a hole?'

"The sinner has awakened!" suddenly, a muffled voice came from upwards. There was a person leaning over the edge, showing only their head covered by a black hood with a mask over their face.

"Sinner! Sinner! Sinner!" Another voice joined, reciting in a monotone voice.

"Sinner! Sinner!" Then another voice joined, creating a chorus of monotone voices.

'What the hell is going on?'

"Get me out of here! Right now!"

"The sinner has no right to speak!" the man muffled by an iron mask grabbed a bucket, emptying its content over the edge.

A stinky liquid rained down the hole, splashing all over Glade. The disgusting stench entered her nose and mouth.

"You are sick! Let me out of here!"

"Sinner! Sinner!" the only response was another wave of muffled chanting.

"I have enough of this!", A strong wind started to whirl in the hole, loudly howling through the narrow space.

Suddenly brightly glowing letters ignited around the edges of the well, and the bright radiance filled the hole as the winds slowly settled down.

'Runes here? And they are so powerful, how much effort it takes to power them up?'

POV Vesuvius:

The dragon was lying on a glittering hoard of gold, watching as his XP bar slowly filled up, lacking less than a hundred XP.

"This is sick! I will report you all!" another shriek echoed from a distant hallway, sounding like music to the dragon's ears. Vesuvius couldn't help but enjoy torturing someone who insulted all of his kind, him and the dragon god, at once.

He had to hastily build a cell; luckily, digging a hole was a trivial matter with magic. Then he let the young elf put in some mana-suppressing runes. Usually, such runes affecting an area outside of their material would need a source of magic other than that natively contained in the stone and air around them. Still, luckily he had lots of the spherical generators he obtained in the dungeon. It was surprisingly easy to use them to power the runes with them,

'I guess it makes sense. They have all controlling magic already in them. All one has to do is to connect them like computer power units, and they will take care of everything by themself.'

They can summon the wrath of their god, summoning miracles on large scales, healing and buffing whole armies at once.

Their breath carries the divine force of the dragon god, making it extra effective against servants of other gods and remaining balance pillar species.

Their connection to god allows them to unleash the power of any natural elements like water, metal, fire, wind, lightning, acid, wood, light, gravity... Their whole bodies evolved to easily assimilate runes into them, charging them with miracle energy and boosting their power by a large margin.

[Thermal Lightning Volcano Dragon] ---> [Hydrothermal Lightning Noble Volcano Runedragon] (Special Evolution):

Description: The evolution of Lightning Volcano Dragon that took the next step in harnessing more power of a volcano. They have powerful dominion over the fire, earth, water and lightning.

Their giant bodies can easily assimilate with any runes engraved on them, harnessing their power in unimaginable effectivity. Heavy volcanic armour covers their whole bodies, forged by heat and water, making it even harder.

Thick clouds of volcanic ash emitted from their bodies are mixing with superheated steam creating a highly conductive cloud that easily creates and transmits large amounts of electricity.

Their breath is scorching hot, quickly melting through almost anything in its path. They can easily disperse water droplets into the air in a large area, creating large-scale electrical fields controlled by their charged lightning-emitting horns.

Their dominion over water gives them the ability to breathe under the water or magma. This power can be used to create a violent thermal explosion of lava and water.

[Toxic Lightning Volcano Dragon] ---> [Chemical Lightning Volcano Dragon] (Special Evolution):

Description: The mighty volcano dragon subspecies that controls almost all of the powers of volcanoes. Their whole bodies are covered in heavy volcanic armour, emitting clouds of toxic smoke and electricity-generating volcanic ash.

The explosive clouds are spreading through large swatches of land around them and can be triggered to explode with tier electric powers.

Their magma contains acidic and toxic elements and explosive chemicals, burning and poisoning their victims at once while causing violent chemical reactions and explosions.

The toxin glands in their nose can spread toxic gasses independently from the lightning-emitting horns and their powerful breath attacks.

Their tail ends with special glands that can fire projectiles of acid or toxins out of it, easily increasing their ranged firepower.

They have evolved natural power to assimilate any runes into their bodies, connecting them to their internal mana stream and greatly increasing their power.

Description: Never before seen species of a dragon with powerful winds of magma, lightning and fire whirling around them at a great speed, creating and rotating blazing inferno around their sleek and light bodies, making just their presence extremely destructive to everything around them.

Their high wind affinity and fire affinity gives them unprecedented mobility, allowing them to blast through the air using fire and wind to propel themself, leaving behind swatches of destroyed land.

Their whole bodies evolved to accommodate the presence of the runes, easily assimilating them as if they were natural parts of their bodies.

They are fusing elements of lightning, fire, magma and wind, creating perfectly fused and destructive combinations.
