In absolute silence, the colossal dragon stared at the small glittering pebble that looked so small when compared to his size that it looked ridiculous.
Despite all the time he spent playing LOMM, it was his first time seeing anything like that.

'Ohhhh!' Were the only thoughts the dragon could put together after reading the description.
He just remained standing there in the burned valley, with the sun rising from behind the horizon and reflecting in his horns that poked out of the smoke clouds around him.
'My own, small world...' He was simply amazed, his heart pounding in his chest. It felt surreal and dream-like.
'Mana...' Something within the dragon's heart nudged him, making him unsure about it.
'Yes, why use mana when I have something better? It worked with my runes.' He felt that he was correct. It was a weird feeling coming from the depths of his subconsciousness. It was risky, but he knew the potential benefits were worth it.
He slowly moved the single droplet of divine golden energy from his heart, his eyes shining brightly in the golden light as it moved through his body into the tip of his long, crystalline claw.
He slowly reached with his golden glowing claw, his breath bathed in the tension.
His anxiousness grew as the claw was getting closer and closer, its tip already almost touching the small, colourful pebble on the ground.
Finally, his claw and the gem touched, and the golden energy surged from it, flowing into the gem that sucked it with greed as if it was a bottomless well.
The world around him stopped the smoke drifting in the air, becoming immobile, looking as if it was frozen in time. Everything was so silent that the dragon could only hear his own heartbeat.
The gem levitated from the ground, floating higher and higher until it stopped at the eye level of the dragon, just a few meters away from his head.
The next moment, it burst into colourful, rainbow light that surged into the dragon's head, and a feeling of heat and warmth flooded his body and soul. The energy smashed into his forehead, a large colourful crystal forming in it.

POV Tanya:
'How did it happen?' Tanya sat in a chair, staring out of a window while clenching her head with her pale hands. She was alone in her room, the room that was filled with bookshelves made of black polished stone. All of them stuffed with tomes and old-looking books.
The only other pieces of furniture were her large table with a chair where she sat and her large and soft bed.
Everything was neatly tied, not even a speck of dust in the whole room, contrary to her own messy appearance.
Her long black hairs with a few lonely strands of red were messy, and her face still carried traces of tears.
'I have failed my master. I have failed my fiance, and I have failed the kingdom.' She was tired and angry as everything that she touched turned into a catastrophe.
'I shouldn't have moved so many guards to arrest that group... I should have kept them in their posts.'
Suddenly someone knocked on her door. She hurriedly moved her hand, fixing her messy hair. However, she remained quiet, refusing to show her face with the shame of the failure still fresh.
"Open, it is me." A melodious female voice spoke, but she couldn't remember where she heard it, 'It is definitely not Alesia; it sounds too old to be her. Maybe some random immortal? They are always bothering everyone….'
"Let me in, please!"
She clenched her fist, her blood pressure rising, 'I guess she will not give up.'
"Come in..." She spoke, her voice perfectly smooth and not carrying even a hint of her bad mood. With a single move of her hand, the magic lock audible hummed and clicked as the doors smoothly opened.
A girl in a pristine white dress woven of snow-like fabric going to her knees and snow-like hair that chilled just from looking at them entered, and her reptilian eyes, which looked like they were made of ice crystals, scanned the room.
'Ohh, so it is her... the icy girl.'
"You look... tired." The icy girl, Ariane, stared at her with her cold eyes, making her want to shrink back out of the shame, all her guilt and shame at her failure growing even stronger.
'Has she come here to make fun of me after I helped her?!'
To her shock, the girl didn't look angry or like she was looking down on her. Her voice was gentle and warm, "It is not your fault. No, one was expecting such a large amount of infiltrators. With the number of guards on your hands, it was impossible to cover everything."
Tanya slightly smiled at that, but inside, she still felt bad, 'They are all just excuses... Failure is a failure, and nothing will change it.'
Ariane slowly walked towards her, her eyes slightly glowing and her pale cheeks turning slightly rosy. She didn't stop until she was just a step away from her, her frosty breath chilling Tanya's face.
"You had helped me relax when I needed it..." She stuttered, and her cheeks turned even redder, making even Tanya feel awkward about the weird situation.
She continued, her voice turning quiet and unsteady, "Umm, I-I want to pay you back..."
Her small hands moved and grabbed Tanya's one. They were soft and cold. She slightly tugged on her and pulled her up from her chair.
Tanya didn't resist, still confused by what was happening.
"Y-you need to relax..." She gently tugged at her and slowly led her toward the large bed.
'She is right... I need some rest. Even the master said that.'
