POV ???:
The wyrm lay curled up on a pile of bronze, silver, and occasional golden coins. Its smooth, red scales gleamed in the light of fire from the flames burning from its nostrils with each breath.
The fire of its breath was the only source of light within the dark and massive cave, with long stalactites hanging from the tall ceiling.
'Phhh? A dragon lord? As if I, the great wyrm, should care.' The elder wyrm, Galakron, couldn't help but feel ridicule at the arrogance of the newly risen dragon lord.
'How pathetic, they didn't even bother to come here personally. Instead, they sent their minions, hoping for me to jump on their bandwagon. They are nothing but overzealous youngster just using their authority to get their way.'
The wyrm felt nothing but disdain at the dragon that used words, feeling like they were just a weakling unfit for their position.
Suddenly a strong wind rose, and the flapping of wings quickly approached their lair. The wyrm raised its head, feeling the aura, only to lag in confusion, 'It feels slightly like a drake... but it isn't. It is too pure and powerful to be it.'
"You Have Disobeyed The Orders Of The Great Dragon Lord Vesuvius!" The slow but loud voice crackling with lightning exploded, and tremors passed through the cave walls. In reaction, the temperature dropped to almost freezing point.
"So you are their lackey?!" The wyrm raised from its hoard, the coins clanging and falling sideways and down like a metal waterfall.
They felt no fear. Instead, their heart burned with eagerness to accept the challenge. It wouldn't shrink back as that would go against their pride.
'This is more fitting of a dragon lord! No words, just brute force! This is how our kind is supposed to negotiate, as that is the way of nature and life!'
The wyrm slowly walked towards the bright daylight getting out through the entrance of its lair, the air becoming hotter or colder with each of its steps as if the air itself was confused if it was supposed to be hot or cold.
pαпdα-ňᴏνê|·сóМ Aura of fire spread from their body, heating up the cave until it glowed in red, pushing back the aura of the intruder as they slowly but surely approached the exit.
They fully spread their leathery, black wings that contrasted with their red scales and shot upwards like a rocket, leaving a fire trail behind them.
Its eyes immediately locked with the poor lap dog, "How dare you to unleash your aura on my land?! I will tear you limb from limb!" Its eyes burned with anger and joy as it could show the dragon lord by beating up its subordinate.
The dragon lord's lackey hovered high within the clouds, its black and golden colours giving it a noble look. The clouds of smoke were spreading through the sky, slowly transforming the sunny day into a dark night.
The wyrm couldn't even tell what it was. It had horns like a higher draconic species, heavily armoured, yet elegant body and aura that didn't fit either lesser dragons or wyrms.
Before the wyrm could even blink, the beast flapped its crystal wings, creating powerful shockwaves as it shot straight at the wyrm, its claws and horns glinting in golden light. The wyrm burst into flames, the coat of fire expanding and igniting the air around it.
One magic circle after another started to form within their mouth, their horns brightly glowing.
The next moment a stream of fire exploded out of its mouth, flooding the entire sky. The blinding orange light pierced through the clouds of smoke.
The monster didn't even budge, its golden glow getting closer and closer with each passing second, its claws glinting, burning in neon-red fire, ready to tear the wyrm apart.
Galakron felt the world slow down around him, their instincts screaming at them to get away, the claws of the weird mutant radiating a feeling of dread and terror.
But it was too late, only their eyes managing to widen at the last moment.
The beast blasted with its armoured body through the flood of fire, the runes glowing all over it, and the flames harmlessly slid off its armour.
'What?!'
Then an impact reverberated through the wyrm's entire body.
The claws pierced through its scales like knives through bread. The evil red energy and poison seeped into their blood and muscles, the feeling of weakness enveloping their entire body.
Their wings turned numb as the wyrm fell like a downed bird, the pain burning within every droplet of its blood as if it had turned into acid.
The golden eyes of the beast constantly stared at them as they fell, something powerful and dangerous hiding behind them, sending shivers down its scales.
"This Pain Shall Be Your Lesson! No One Will Deny Orders Of The Great Dragon Lord Vesuvius!"
POV Vesuvius:
'Perfect, simply perfect!' The dragon watched through the eyes of his divine guardian, his mind overflowing with satisfaction as he watched the wyrm that dared to ignore his order fall down in pain.
'They will survive as even wyrms have lots of vitality. But, the pain and the humiliation will teach them a lesson.'
Vesuvius was a dragon lord, and his order wasn't optional. He was ready to beat and force everyone that dared to resist, 'They are idiots anyway! I am also doing it for their good! I could simply hide somewhere deep within the planetary crust of millenniums and grow stronger. But I stood up as it would already be too late by then. Even now, our numbers are dropping.'
The attack he planned was all in. Even if some of his kind refused to attack, they would still be attacked, as the action of dozens of wyrms and lesser dragons attacking from each direction would bring ire to their entire kind.
'We will either win this by combining our powers to conquer this continent or lose badly.'
Dragon kingdom was too small for his liking. Now, after all his plans for coexistence proved futile, he wanted to turn the entire continent into his fortress, and a safe haven for his kin, where he would be the single undisputed ruler.
'How could one small kingdom be enough for us? Each of us needs large territories to live in comfort! We can't live cramped in a single small plot of land like humans!' The scale of his vision was growing every moment. He no longer even counted on coexistence with humans for as long as the gods lived.
He was a dragon lord, and with the title also came duties and obligations towards his kin.
'I will turn this continent into my fortress, which I will use to grab the space affinity. Those that surrender will become servants and workforce, and others will be fully annihilated.'
