POV Minions:
The two players in their plate-mail, black enchanted armors ascended a long staircase spiraling around a tall and wide stalactite. Their entire bodies were covered in armor, the only differentiating clue being that one was tall and the second was short.
A set of metal-clad boots hitting against the rock echoed through the vast cavern, making both of them tense in an alert.
The two golden points glowed in the darkness, and heavy, armored steps resounded as the tall armor-clad kobold slowly marched around a river.
"It is just our patrol." The taller player lowered his mace and breathed out in relief.
But the shorter one remained alert; something about the kobold felt wrong.
'They walk too slowly, and their weapon is at ready. Did they spot Something we didn't?'
Suddenly the monster stopped and sniffed, the grip of its black glove tightening around the pole of its cleaver-headed polearm.
The next second out of nowhere, a humanoid figure looking like a grey blur manifested behind the kobold. Its blurry hand moved so fast that no one could even react, the two players just staring in horror as it smashed the kobold from behind.
The black armor crumbled into dust, and the kobold's body exploded in a visceral explosion of blood and bones.
The two green eyes stopped at the two players, they tried to move, but they couldn't even budge as if Something glued them to their spot.
Without any sounds, the blurry being vanished.
Both players felt the hairs on the back of their necks stand up, the feeling of Something dangerous standing right behind them making their heart pound for their lives.
The next second, their entire visions went black.
Ding!

POV Vesuvius:
The dragon quietly flew through the vast cavernous tunnels.
Hundreds of the small black dots walked on the ground, the glow of their weapons making them look like red stars on the dark background of the stone. His minions slowly advanced below him, clearing one stone building after another.
'They are working hard. But it is still too slow. This way exploring the entire dungeon would take too long.' Even Vesuvius wasn't so greedy as to try to hold the land far from his kingdom.
'The longer I stay here, the more enmity it will cause. The demons are, for now, the center of attention of everyone. But the humans will forcefully attack when they are gone to free this land.'
The explosion sounds came from far, its force sending tremors through the walls.
He felt multiple connections with his minions cut off, and his eyes immediately flared up in rage as the lightning crackled and sparked around his body, 'Something is wrong. The speed they are dying. It is no ordinary enemy.'
He didn't mind losing some low-ranking minions in fair battles too much, as that was part of their purpose, but the idea of them dying in one-sided slaughter felt wrong, 'That is like wasting resources in a bad and inefficient way.'
The massive lightning struck across the sky, and the dragon shot forwards, everything turning into a blur of dark walls and glowing crystals.
Another connection cut off, and right after another and another. The dragon's heart was boiling with anger and rage as he already had his suspicions.
'Someone so brazen as to use mind magic would have no qualms about bypassing me to directly attack my forces!'
The dragon fed even more mana, and the lightning around him brightened even more as he accelerated. One sonic boom after another reverberated through the sprawling, dark tunnels, the surroundings becoming even more blurry.
He braced his wings as he suddenly stopped mid-air after he crossed kilometers in the blink of an eye.
The blood, bones, and viscera lay all over the rough cave floor, and the thick smell of death and blood reached all the way to the dragon. There were no injured, only dead.
His minions and soldiers were scattered in chaos, blindly swinging their weapons as if trying to hit Something they couldn't see, the sound swishing and howling wind constantly perpetrating through the camp.
His eyes caught a movement.
The blurry figure constantly flickered as it disappeared and reappeared, accompanied by his minion's bloody explosions. It didn't even glance at the dragon as if taunting him.
"This time, I will not let you go! You are nothing but a dishonorable worm!" The dragon's heart burned with such despise and anger that the entire dungeon darkened.
The dragon's horns lit up in bright light, glowing like rods forged of lightning and light.
"Enough!" His voice boomed across the cave, and all the surviving kobolds fell on their knees, and the players followed right behind them, even with the enemy still slaughtering through their ranks.
A massive and complex magic circle, its center split into multiple triangles, lit up in the dragon's mind, and its copy formed above his horns. The mana spiraled, and the air became heavier and denser as all the power gathered above the dragon horns.
The next second it exploded into billions of moths of transparent, colorless light that slowly fell upon the entire camp like a snowfall. There was no visible change, but Something changed, making the dragon's eyes flare up in eagerness as he waited for his opponent to fall into his trap.
The blurry figure reappeared, and another of his minions burst into blood and dust. Before the dragon could even strike, it was gone again.
'No! What is this? If nothing else, there should be at least some reaction. But its teleportation didn't even trigger my anti-teleportation ward.'
Teleportation was always tricky, so the mages developed their wards and countermeasures that could at least slow it down. But the beast kept just teleporting around as it slaughtered his minions.
Scenarios and possibilities ran through the dragon's mind, but in the end, he couldn't see any good solution.
The dragon stared at it, unable to do anything, 'I can't strike it with a small attack as it is too unpredictable and fast, and if I strike it with a large attack, I will blast my minions too.'
Vesuvius looked at his minions and the blood littering the ground. His two hearts burning with determination, 'In that case, I will at least not let my minions get butchered like some animals. That is a disgrace.'
"You have served me well. Shall the dragon god protect your souls..." The dragon opened his mouth, and a bright golden light lit up in his mouth.
He wouldn't just let something slaughter his minions. He would at least take the attacker with them to allow them to fulfill their service and die honorably, 'You have inherited my blood, so maybe with help of my domain some of you will survive my flames.'
