Chapter 414 The Final Battle

POV Alesia:

The small dragon stood in the dark shadow of the dragon lord. Her bright eyes flashed with the hunger for power.

"Kill them all, Alesia, and you will feel the power flood your veins." The dragon's words came from behind her, making her blood boil.

A blinded and gagged player stood in the center of a large ring, the sharp pointed rocks forming an impenetrable circular wall.

'Become my power!'

The small dragon opened her mouth and revealed her small yet deadly sharp teeth. She could feel the new organ within the depth of her throat itch and prod her to feed it mana.

Without hesitation, she did so, and the next moment, something within her throat vibrated. She could feel the power surge through her new body filling her with bestial joy.

The next moment a refreshing and imperceptible force exploded out of her mouth. The air vibrated and swirled as the invisible concentrated breath of wind launched out, containing enough force to crush bones, shatter stones and bend metal.

The little mortal before her launched backward, his chained legs and arms snapping and bending into unnatural levels. His chest caved in, and his neck snapped like a twig. Blood and viscera rained upon the black stone as the skull exploded from the pressure.

The familiar energy raised before her eyes, and then it was sucked straight into her body, filling her with warmth.

'So all the time when I could only see this energy their lordship could see those numbers instead.'

"Well done, young one. From all the levels you have accumulated before becoming a dragon, you should be able to evolve. However, don't do it until you fully learn your powers and you had enough time to think about it."

"What does that mean?" She had changed, her new powers hiding many mysteries that even the new surge of draconic memories couldn't tell her, though she wasn't alone as he had her mentor and the lord.

"We dragons are the force of nature. Nature always changes and evolves, so you will. It is a way for you to change both your body and soul to get stronger and raise higher!"

Her heart pounded slightly at the words knowing this was just the beginning of her path as a dragon, 'So this is why they always changed so suddenly.'

The armored forms of the kobolds emerged from the smoke once more, dragging another sacrifice straight to her, her throat already itching to turn them into her riches and power.

Still, even with all of it, her heart didn't forget her love for her art. She wanted, and she thrived to continue it. The impossibly concentrated mana in her blood and the incredible affinity that made all her elements serve her making her excited just thinking about all the new possibilities.

But most importantly the knowledge of all the generations of the dragons and wyrms of the past flowing through her mind made her see the world in a new light, all the natural laws that were previously hidden, were now like an open book.

'I have a lot of debts to pay. I better start working on repaying them.' She was now a dragon, and dragons do not forget their debts.

'They gave me all this and I shall repay for their kindness.'

Dragons were prideful and would never bow to anyone other than their own kind, as they were the supreme ones. Still, it was not a shame to be a vassal of a dragon lord, instead, pride swelled in the dragon's heart as she was now part of something greater.

'In the future, my name will be known to every soul alongside the lord's one.'

She was now a true dragon and so she felt the destructive nature of her master's concept.

'There needs to be someone that will rebuild after them.' it might have been just her greed, but she wanted to be that one to do that. She wanted to create the world of marvels and art in the tracks of the ash left by her master.

POV Vesuvius:

The dragon gave one last look to the little dragon before he flapped his wings, and the magic runes lit up all around him.

'One week. That is all I have to level up my second soul as much.' He didn't know what the response would be to his declaration of war, but he knew that every extra bit of power he could harness would be vital to his efforts.

The next moment he hovered high above the still-shining teleportation ring below him, the hooded forms of the kobold mages deeply bowing their heads.

The battleground of death stretched as far as his eyes could see.

The crushed dead bodies of human soldiers were scattered across the battlefield. The carcasses of drakes, wyverns, and kobolds sewn between them. The stains of light remained after the long-dead angels mixed with the vile shadows left after the demise of the demon armies.

The blood of mortals was mixing with the immortal blood of the dragon kind, demons, and angels in rivers.

The pungent smell of death was so strong that it made even the dragon falter for a split second.

'How many had to die here for this?' The oppressive aura of death was so strong it even pushed away all the life force, creating a hostile and deadly place that made the dragon's stomach turn.

The smoldering craters and burned swatches of grasslands stretched from one end of the horizon to the other. The cracks in the ground still contained the demonic aura even after the years.

'After today this place will become a part of the history.' It was the same place where the armies of the demons and angels clashed a decade ago, and now it was a place of another major battle.

'Poor fools, they think they can resist. They should have surrendered.'

The shockwaves from the explosions and the flashes of lights constantly arrived from behind the horizon, down the field of death.

POV ?:

"Attack! Slay the beast!" The shouts and yells came from all over the battlefield as the general in blood-stained armor sat on his horse.

The world seemed to move in slow motion as his heart pounded with him knowing his death was coming.

The ground shook under each step of the mass of stone on the four legs. The land dragon's eyes shined, and its feet crushed fortifications and soldiers below its claws.

The bright light of the angelic light flashed across the battlefield as the winged forms of the angels, with four, six, or even eight wings, hovered in the sky like stars suspended on invisible strings.

They were the last remnants of the angelic forces left after the crusade against the demon, forever ordered to guard the site of the battle.

The rays of light blasted and bombarded the land of the dragon, each salvo of light bringing out another earth-shattering growl.

"Graaah! Come down, you cowards! Fight me with honor!"

'Stupid beast... at least I will take you down with me.' The general knew the war was all lost, but even with it all, he felt his death would be legendary.

The bright orange lights lit up in the sky as the bright white columns of fire descended upon the angels, and growls echoed through the entire lowlands.

'Shit, these bastards again...' The swarms of the giant winged Draco beasts still gave him nightmares, the images of his armies burning still vivid before his eyes.

The next moment even brighter light lit up in the sky, and the entire battlefield froze as if they all turned into stone statues.

General's mind blanked out as he felt the aura of such ferocity that put everything he ever felt into shame. Even the commanders of the demon and angel armies paling in the comparison.

All the draconic beasts pressed their head against the ground, from the mighty earth dragon to the lowest wyvern.

'It is over. This is not a force we can resist...'

The commander of the draconic armies and their battle lord, that led them into battles has arrived.
