As the dust slowly settled, the dragon's eyes darted around, his entire body coiled with tension, ready to react at a moment's notice as he searched for his enemy.
He immediately noticed the single hammer lying on the scorched ground, its glow mostly diminished.
'His hammer? Could he be really defeated so fast?' Expanding his domain, the dragon tried to sense the god, but there was nothing; it was as if he had simply vanished. There wasn't even an XP message or notification from the system.
'Are you perhaps trying some trick?'
He still couldn't fully believe it, remembering the strange actions of the god and the nearly undetectable agent of purity he had fought before.
At last, the dragon folded his wings and landed with a resonating quake, the shockwave of his landing shattering the already-destroyed landscape even further. He tried to look leisurely and calm as he took a step closer to the hammer.
'If it's a trap, let's try to lure the roach out.' He took another step closer, his domain sensing for even the weakest movement or flash of aura. There was still nothing.
His claws, inwardly cautious but seemingly eager, reached for the hammer. Only when he grasped it, which looked like less than a strand of hair in his massive hand, did he breathe out in relief.
'Perhaps I really defeated them, but why no notification?' When his breath struck, he received countless XP notifications, but none significant enough to catch his attention.
Then he realized something. 'It might have been a god, but they weren't here personally, and the body they occupied still belonged to a mortal.' In his opinion, there was no way for a mortal to survive his breath.
He didn't know what the god was planning, but now he was sure that his move to destroy him as fast as he could was the right one.
'Analyse.'

POV Noob:
A single human excitedly stared at a towering tree before him. He rubbed his hands together, knowing he had struck a jackpot.
'A spirit tree! Its wood should be worth its weight in silver!' It was finally his time to prosper, become rich, and buy a nice house! An axe flashed into his hand from his inventory. Then he took a step forward, carefully.
He looked around, ensuring there was no danger in sight.
'Yes, this time, I will be lucky!' He wouldn't leave anything to chance, knowing the bad luck that always accompanied him wherever he went.
He took a deep breath and swung the axe, the blade biting into the bark of the spirit tree. A sense of triumph surged through him. 'This is it!'
The ground beneath him rumbled slightly, but he paid it no mind, attributing it to his imagination or perhaps the power of the spirit tree. He pulled the axe free and swung again, determined to make quick work of his prize.
Suddenly, the rumbling intensified, the earth trembling violently beneath his feet. His heart raced as he stumbled back, the axe falling from his grip. Panic set in as the ground split open, a deep, ominous fissure forming right before his eyes.
'What is happening?!' he thought, terror flooding his mind.
Before he could react, a blinding beam of absolute darkness, fringed with searing tendrils of golden and purple flames, shot up from the depths of the fissure.
Then everything went dark.

You have been killed by the Dimensional Voidstar Dragon King!
//
For a moment, he stared at the message, then he yelled at no one, "I have had enough of this! Once, that is alright, twice, okay, I can accept it as a coincidence, thrice—I have done nothing to you, dragon, yet you always kill me!"
He was pissed off, and this time he would not let it go. This time he was ready to find that dragon and tell it to their face that he wanted compensation. He didn't care any longer; he just wanted the justice he deserved! He was going to complain!
