[The best high priests from Eternity Kingdom came, but the brave young man’s life was already hanging by a thread after receiving the raging demon’s fatal attack.]
[When the high priests came to seal the demon, the unholy soul slipped away and darted toward the nearest dying body to hide.]
[The invasion of the unholy soul saved the brave young man, but his body became possessed as a result.]
…
Just five seconds after Hiro seemingly blacked out from the life-threatening injury, light and clarity slowly returned to his sight. Not only did his body feel normal, but he even felt somewhat refreshed.
It was as if all the pain he just experienced was nothing more than an illusion.
When his vision was completely restored, he found himself in a familiar place; a hall with a giant chessboard-like floor.
Ding!
[The Headmistress is trying to connect to you]
After briefly looking at the notification with curiosity, Hiro allowed access to the incoming call. The moment he agreed to answer, something popped up in front of him.
A mini 3D hologram of a woman. Her formal, tidy suit seemed to be a little tight on her large chest.
[Welcome to Half-Blood Academy, NightFall. I am Headmistress Eva.]
[You can find your student ID in your inventory.]
[If you are wondering how you ended up here, you can find the Head of Demon House, Miss Lucile.]
Poof!
After the headmistress finished speaking, her 3D hologram immediately disappeared. He was a bit confused as to why the headmistress would personally contact a student just to say that, but before he could think more about it, a barrage of notifications quickly popped up one by one.
Ding!
[You have obtained Two-Handed Wooden Sword (Level 1) Tier D]
[You have obtained a new costume ‘Half-Blood Student Uniform’]
[You have obtained a new title, ‘First-Year Student’]
[You have obtained Student ID (Demon House Club)]
Apart from the student ID, the items he received were the same as those he received in the CBT version.
Hiro observed his surroundings.
The hall was filled with a sea of people in the same uniform. Although he couldn’t really tell where they were each from, he could see that these players were of different races from all across the world.
“This is so damn cool!”
“Look! I have cat ears!”
“You look stunning, lady.”
“Anyone wanna play with me?”
So many people were speaking at the same time that Hiro’s head started to ache, so he decided to walk toward the hall’s main entrance for a more quiet space. Upon checking his HUD system, he could see the name of the hall on the map.
[Half-Blood Student Hall of Fame]
There was a staircase leading to an upper floor and more than five floors in total, but he wasn’t interested in checking the hall. Not for the time being, at least.
He was more interested in what was outside.
Just a moment after he stepped out, Nyx the Asdroid appeared right in front of him.
“Hi, Nyx!” Hiro was a little surprised by its sudden appearance, but he still greeted it with a smile.
“Hello again, NightFall!”
To his surprise, the AI robot still had the data information of his avatar.
“I guess you already know how to play.”
“Yup.”
“But I have some new information for you.”
Nyx began to explain.
In the official version of LSO, the player kill feature has been activated. This means that players can be killed anytime and anywhere, even in big cities.
The penalty level varies depending on the location. If a player is killed in a city or a town, the killed player’s EXP will be reduced by 100%. This means that the player’s level will go down by one.
Meanwhile, if a player is killed outside a city or a town, the killed player’s EXP will be reduced by 100% and the avatar will be unplayable for seven days. This penalty time can be cut by purchasing the [Life Expense] item through the game’s official website.
The penalties mentioned are not limited to deaths caused by PKs or monsters.
“But what penalties do the player killers get? Don’t tell me they’re allowed to freely get away with it.”
In response to his question, the Asdroid displayed a screen panel containing the penalty information.
[Murder is an unforgivable act. Killing another player will cause the name bar and HP of the player killer to turn red. Whoever eliminates players with red names will receive bonus LSC from the system.]
[Note: The bonus LSC given will depend on the difficulty level of eliminating the player killer.]
Hiro smiled when he saw the penalty for player killers. He liked it.
‘Everyone can be an executor.’
“By the way, Nyx… where are my items from the CBT ver-”
[Nyx’s time is up. The Asdroid must return to its home.]
Poof!
The Asdroid disappeared before he could even finish his question.
Unlike before, Hiro didn’t get teleported to Beginner Town as soon as Nyx ran out of time. Furthermore, according to Nyx, he could either use a teleportation item or service through the NPC at every spot on the map in order to get to Beginner Town.
But he didn’t plan on immediately heading out. Instead, he first opened his progressive stats.
“System call.”

All the stats had been reset, and the basic stat points saved were from the first bonus of reaching level 1.
Hiro quickly used the three points for STR, the stat that would benefit him the most as a berserker.
He checked his stats after the STR increase and found something odd.
‘Where’s the Swish Swish Potion’s effect?’
Hiro closed the progressive stats screen to check his inventory.
With the effect of the Swish Swish Potion he made in the CBT version, the basic stats he had should be more than this. According to the information the customer service provided, it should have been transferred to his account after the official release as it was a rare item.
However, he couldn’t find anything in his inventory apart from the items he just received.
