What happened to the 1000 CBT players was still a mystery to Hiro to this day.
“Could you take me to where you live?” Hiro immediately asked a question that sounded like a compulsion. But Jacob didn’t mind that at all.
“Of course, my friend. You can visit as you please.”
At that moment, Jack came to bring two glasses of wine ordered by Jacob.
“Thank you, Jack!”
CLINK!
Jacob invited Hiro to taste the beverages and Hiro had no other choice but to accept it as a tribute. At least the glass was smaller than the last beer he had tasted.
Hiro’s throat immediately felt refreshed as he gulped the red wine’s fermented liquid. His eyes widened in disbelief when he felt the sweet and bitter flavors blend into one in balance. He did not lower his glass and drank the entire contents at once.
Jacob smiled lopsidedly when he saw Hiro’s reaction.
“I told you. Wine is the best!”
Hiro couldn’t agree more about that.
After finishing the alcoholic drink, Jacob and Hiro walked out of the Tavern. They searched for the nearest Teleportation NPC.
They were looking for a teleportation NPC named Willie. A man dressed like a cowboy was standing near the exit gate of Beginner Town. Next to it was a stone statue in the shape of a horse.
“We’re going to Vul Faldur,” Jacob said to NPC Willie.
“My apologies, Player Jacob, but your friend has not opened the city yet.”
“Eh– what do you mean?”
Hiro understood what NPC Willie meant even though Jacob didn’t.
He hadn’t continued the main quest to open all cities and it seems that only people who have a plot or settlement certificate in that city could come to the city without having to complete the main quest first.
If Hiro was the only one who already had level 20, but the main quest could still be continued, it meant that the city mentioned by Jacob was still filled with NPCs and there were only a few plot owners in that city.
After All, it was not surprising if Jacob didn’t realize it, he was the same as Liberty who thought that NPCs were real people.
“Jacob, you can go back first. I’ll catch up with you after taking care of something.” Hiro interrupted Jacob who was arguing with NPC Willie.
“Eh—why?”
“I have to finish the main quest first until all cities are open and I can only get access to go to Vul Faldur City. Don’t worry, it won’t be that long.” Hiro explained confidently.
And of course, Jacob simply believed it.
“Okay. But you promised to visit my place, right? Don’t disappear again.”
“Disappear?”
“Yeah…you disappeared for a day, Bro. I can’t reach you.”
Hiro believed that was when he was kicked out of the CBT server and had to wait for the official version before he could play again. He didn’t think that Jacob would look for him at that time.
“You can trust me.”
“Fine. I’ll see you again!”
“Well, bye!”
Hiro waited until Jacob disappeared after being teleported to the other city.
Between continuing the main quest and doing the daily quest, Hiro decided to choose the daily quest first because the daily quest would be reset every 23:59 PM server time and could be accessed again after 00:01 AM.
Meanwhile, the server time was already at 10 PM.
The daily quest list that Hiro could access for his current level included three different types of quests.
By completing daily quests, players would get some additional bonuses, but the most important thing was stamina. Stamina points were different from energy.
Energy in the LSO system was required for certain active skills that did not cost AP. While stamina was needed to perform life skills which were limited every day, only 100 points could be obtained.
Quest daily dungeon (Level 20-30) (1x attempt)
[2500 EXP bonus, chance to get special item drops, 40 stamina if clear dungeon]
Quest battle arena (3x attempts)
[100 EXP bonus and 10 stamina per win]
Quest minigame (3x attempts)
[100 EXP bonus and 10 stamina per win]
After reading the details of the daily quests he could do, for now, Hiro decided to complete them sequentially starting with the daily dungeon.
It felt like it had been a long time since Hiro had last entered the dungeon in that game.
Daily dungeon quests (Level 20-30) could only be accessed by players with levels in the range of 20-30.
Dungeons could be accessed solo or with a party without any distribution of bonus EXP and stamina.
However, by being in a party, the drop rate for special items got a buff of +50% if the party consisted of 3 people and a +100% buff if the party was full, consisting of 5 people.
Even though the drop rate was 100%, the player who would get the drop would be randomly selected.
Although Hiro was certainly tempted by the 100% drop rate guarantee, he was again faced with the problems he often had to deal with when he was in the CBT version.
Currently, no players who reached level 20 were registered on the server. The highest level that exceeded the world level ranges from 13 to 17. And because of that, Hiro had no other choice but to enter the dungeon solo for today.
At least, he would be the first to access the daily dungeon on the NA server.
Hiro returned to the Beginner Town square to look for the daily dungeon guard NPC named Noble Knight Ramune. An adult man wearing a set of shiny silver armor complete with a helmet so Hiro could only see a pair of bright green eyes from the gap in the helmet.
“Greetings, Player Nightfall. What can I do for you?”
[Choose the dungeon to enter] (1x attempt left)
[Bandit’s Lair Dungeon (Level 20-30)]
[(Locked)The Gloomy Tunnels (Level 31-40)]
[(Locked)The Moaning Caverns (Level 41-50)]
“Bandit’s Lair.”
[Players would have a chance to revive in the dungeon 2x if they die. More than that, the player will fail to clear the dungeon and will only be able to try again after the reset]
“Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
