Chapter 165

“Everyone also takes a break for today. They can’t wait to see Leader’s name announced by the system.” Jacob gave some of the vegetables he had in his hand to Cara, slightly forcing the girl because she really objected to it.

However, for the sake of successfully bringing Hiro to the guild, Cara didn’t complain.

Jacob always had a way of comforting Hiro with his words. It made Hiro feel reluctant to refuse the man. Especially after he knew who Jacob really was and what had happened to the man. Hiro had a weak heart for him. He couldn’t just ignore Jacob.

The four of them finally walked together towards the guild base, which was still crowded with visitors. Most people who came were female players. They repeatedly asked the bar manager when they could meet the NightFall Player just to ask for a group photo or say hello.

The player whose name was repeatedly announced by the system because of the achievements he had got. Of course, Hiro became the center of attention of the other players. Moreover, with such an achievement, Hiro must have a lot of LSC in his current balance. Having an LSC was enough to attract women because of its great value.

It wouldn’t be strange if Hiro suddenly became the most wanted person on the server.

When BigShow saw Hiro’s arrival from afar, along with the others, he decided to close the bar and forcibly expel the non-guild members who were visiting that day.

“We are closed for now. Please get out of here. If you haven’t paid, no problem, you don’t have to pay. Everything is free at this second due to an internal important event.” BigShow’s deep voice caught the attention of all the bar’s visitors, and they immediately cried out in disappointment.

Boohoo!

Even so, they moved from their seats and quickly left the bar. No one knew the reason why they were told to leave all of a sudden. And Jacob, who had seen BigShow’s action from afar, decided to block Hiro so no one would see him.

Jacob was bigger than Hiro, so he could hide him easily.

“This is sure going to be a lot of fun. They can’t wait to see you, my friend. Do you know? Our new members are very talented, although most of them are still young. And what motivated them to join Everlasting is you.” Jacob briefly told what had happened to Everlasting since Hiro left. He was so excited when he told his story that Hiro felt a little moved to listen to him.

Hiro really did not expect that he was still considered that important by his guild members. They even actually prepared a party for his victory, which would be announced in the next few hours, as if they were the ones who were the most proud of what he had achieved in the past two weeks.

Just thinking about it gave Hiro the thrill. He really didn’t expect that people would rely on him like that.

From the start, his intention to play the game was simple. He needed to make as much money as possible because he had to be independent after his brother died. However, when his mind was in chaos because of the unexpected information he had just received, his members were waiting for him, welcoming him, and even celebrating his success.

BigShow and the others were already standing in front of the guild base in a row. Wheelie also appeared to welcome Hiro’s arrival with a broad smile. Meanwhile, behind them were the new members that Hiro saw for the first time. They looked very happy and excited. Some even rubbed their hands because they were nervous to see his arrival.

“Welcome back, Our Leader.” Wheelie didn’t hesitate to rush over to Hiro and hug him. The girl had a little trouble because she had a small dwarf body. However, Hiro still couldn’t believe that he would be greeted so warmly by the guild members, even though he had indirectly abandoned them for the past few days. He didn’t move an inch, nor did he hug Wheelie back.

Slowly, he began to realize that Wheelie’s arms felt very warm. And that warmth made his defenses instantly crumble. Hiro’s body was trembling violently. He buried his face in Wheelie’s shoulder, and the girl was quite startled by Hiro’s action.

“I’m sorry.” Hiro whispered while sobbing on Wheelie’s shoulder.

Wheelie tightened her embrace.

“You don’t need to, Leader. We’ve been family since the start, aren’t we?”

Jacob pulled Cara’s arms to hug Hiro from behind together.

“Don’t worry, Hiro. Whatever’s bothering you, you can tell us whenever you’re ready. We will always be there for you.”

Jacob’s words made Hiro sob even more. His body was shaking.

“All right, All right. We have to prepare the food, guys! We have a party to celebrate!” BigShow didn’t want to get carried away. He wiped the corners of his eyes that were already dripping with tears before clapping his hands to get the Everlasting members’ attention.

Those who had been given the tasks immediately rushed to carry out their duties.

Starting from cleaning the tables and chairs at the bar which were closed to the public today, then preparing the food ingredients that Jacob and Noah had bought. They were immediately preoccupied with their tasks, and they did it with great enthusiasm.

None of them seemed to object to the tasks. It even made them excited to work overtime because the most important person they really hoped for that day had come.

After calming down, Hiro sat down on one of the chairs at the bar with the guild management members. And he fell silent again.

Hiro realized it was time for him to speak up.

“Thank you very much. You guys have done a lot.” Hiro bowed his head and thanked them sincerely.

“Not at all, boss. We can’t celebrate victory like this every day, can we?” BigShow handed Hiro a cup of hot tea to help him relax his muscles and calm his worries.

“I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to leave my family. But I really have something very important to do.” Hiro adjusted his sitting position so he could sit straight and looked them in the eyes, one by one. Beside him were Jacob and Cara, while the person most reluctant to look at him was Noah. It was as if Noah was the only one annoyed with him for deciding to disappear for days, leaving the task of being a leader to the man.

Hiro thought that he would have a private talk with Noah to thank him later.

“I can’t tell you that very important thing right now. However, in a few hours, you’ll find out. When you know, I hope you will still stay by my side. But if you don’t, I won’t force you.”

Hiro knew that the words he had prepared would make his guild members torn apart. Who knows how many of them would continue to believe in him or decide otherwise?

Whatever happened, Hiro would respect their decision.
