Chapter 344 Stirring

Name:Legacy of the Dark Sage Author:
After Emperor Euan and the two Special Ops left, another messenger appeared.

The messenger was a man in his late twenties, wearing a white coat with the Courtenay Family Crest, a light green five-leaf clover. He told Kyran and Tobias that representatives from both the Blacksmith Order and the Lumley Family would have to come to the Courtenay Residence tomorrow morning to discuss the resolution of today's incident.

After the two sides gave their acknowledgement, the messenger told Kyran that a healer from the Royal Family would arrive in half an hour to accommodate his request. As for the matter between 'Disciple Tyr' and the Lumley Family, the messenger suggested having it discussed tomorrow as well.

Kyran did not agree nor disagree, he only looked at Tobias, before turning to enter the Blacksmith Order.

Seeing Kyran had left, the messenger did not stay and also left, while Tobias and the two Grand Masters followed right after.

During the whole exchange, Celine did not say anything. Since she was only there to assist and had no say on the matters pertaining to the order.

Technically, Kyran was also an outsider, but no one knew that except Celine and the Conclave High Council.

When Kyran left, she followed him inside. She also needed to check on the injured members of the order.

The whole order was silent when Kyran entered.

Every member felt mixed emotions at what happened, and though they had a few questions of their own, they did not have the heart to ask Kyran. Not when the latter had an unreadable expression and a scary aura, right now.

They were also wondering about the strange exchange between Kyran and the Emperor.

While the veteran members could more or less guess what it meant, they were not really a gossip and chose to keep their thoughts to themselves. Time would reveal everything, anyway. At least, they believed that.

Kyran and Celine went to check on the injured members at once.

All the injured members were transferred to the infirmary and only Celine and Kyran were there.

The rest of the members were already busy cleaning up the mess while assuring all customers.

The moment Celine saw the condition of all the injured members of the order, her expression turned grim. She only had a rough idea of what had transpired before she came. Now that she saw their condition, especially all the ordinary people and Emmet, she could not help but seethe in anger.

If she had known this earlier, she probably had dealt a heavy blow to Tobias and his entourage.

"We need to contact the Alchemist Association and ask their help," Celine told Kyran while she sat on the bed where Emmet lay.

Kyran shook his head, "No. If we get them involved, who knows what kind of misunderstanding those people targeting me will come up with."

Celine frowned at once and looked at him.

Seeing, Tyr's face still made her feel uneasy, but she could only keep her feelings in check and play along.

"Asking for their help is not really strange. Both the order and the association are constituents of the Conclave. There is nothing wrong with helping each other."

"The association is also swamped with requests. They will not be able to spare a High Master Alchemist at this time," Kyran reasoned.

"Emmet's condition is not something a High Master Alchemist could deal with!" Celine exclaimed.

"Exactly, which means, we need at least a Saint Alchemist or higher to check on him and the others," Kyran agreed.

Alchemists were ranked based on what level of potions or pills they could concoct.

There were seven levels that alchemists strived for. These were:

First level - Master Alchemist;

Second level - High Master Alchemist;

Third level - Saint Alchemist;

The fourth level - Venerate Alchemist;

Fifth level - Emperor Alchemist;

The sixth level - Exalted Alchemist;

And the seventh and highest level - was Divine Alchemist.

As of this moment, the highest Alchemist level in the human plane was an Emperor Alchemist.

However, in ancient times, there had been a Divine Alchemist.

Nevertheless, it was unknown if there were other levels above a Divine Alchemist because no one had ever achieved a higher level than that. Up to this day, there had only been two people recorded to have reached the highest level.

This showed how important a high-level Alchemist was.

"We can't ask Head Alchemist Avrum to come here. At least, normally we can't. But if he knew what happened here, he will definitely come. Who knows, maybe it will be Chairman Malia. When that happens and those people found out, what do you suppose they will think?

Celine fell silent.

She understood what Kyran was trying to say. Avrum was a Venerate Alchemist, while Malia was an Emperor Alchemist, any one of them coming here would definitely stir unnecessary commotion.

There was a good chance those people against Kyran would think he was the one who asked them to come. Even if that was not the case, the truth did not matter. To them, as long as they could stir the public to further keep an eye on him was more than enough.

More and more factions would also want to find out more about 'Tyr.'

Having the Emperor come here already stirred up a commotion, and it was only a matter of time before every faction in the empire knew about it.

This, in turn, brought huge headaches to Kyran. This was not the kind of storm he wanted to stir when he made a scene as 'Tyr.'

"Then what are we going to do? Are we really just going to wait for the Royal Family's healer? Who could possibly have a better means of healing Emmet and the rest than Head Alchemist Avrum and Chairman Malia?" Celine asked.

Kyran thought of Anette but immediately rejected the idea.

If he called for her help and Emmet and the others got better, it would stir another misunderstanding. Since he could not reveal Anette, it would look as if he was the one who healed them.

The last thing Kyran wanted was rumors circulating that 'Tyr' also had high attainments in Alchemy.

Heaving a deep sigh, Kyran shook his head and replied, "That's the only way to prevent any more misunderstandings."

Celine looked back at the injured members and wondered why things had to come to this.

All of this happened just because of 'Tyr's work'? Were they that afraid of his talents?

"In any case, my puppets had applied first aid. I don't want to brag, but I am confident in their work. Emmet and the others' condition has somewhat stabilized," Kyran added.

Celine shook her head, "That was not the case here. I still don't think the Royal Family has a healer who can do a better job than Head Alchemist Avrum and Chairman Malia."

"Rest assured that I will do my best to heal them."

A melancholic voice suddenly spoke from behind.

Celine immediately turned to look at the door and was surprised to find a young woman standing there wearing a white hooded robe with red accents.

She did not even notice the latter's arrival!

More importantly, did she hear their conversation?

Wait, did Celine and Kyran even say anything suspicious?

Celine recalled their conversation and thought nothing. At least, she believed they had not talked about anything suspicious.

Kyran, on the other hand, froze the moment he heard the woman's voice.

In an instant, his expression turned grim as he turned to look at the young woman. He also did not sense her arrival. Though he did not exactly employ his magic sense, he should have at least noticed something, especially 'her' presence.

The young woman closed the door behind her and said, "I'm sorry to surprise you. I actually knocked and let myself in when no one answered."

"You came early," Kyran replied, not masking his dissatisfaction.

Celine caught this and looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

Did he know the young woman?

The young woman chuckled at Kyran's unmasked annoyance. She turned to face him and finally lowered her hood.

As soon as Celine saw the young woman, she could not help but flush.

She had never seen such a beautiful young woman before. Most of all, the young woman's eyes were too dazzling she could not seem to look away from them.

The young woman's sapphire blue eyes seemed to glow naturally even in a poorly lit room.

That was right.

The young woman was none other than Haylee.

Haylee smiled at Kyran and said, "We meet again, Disciple Tyr."

Kyran's brow furrowed as soon as Haylee smiled. Once again, there was another image of a girl overlapping with her face and it annoyed how much it stirred his very core.

"If I did not know better, I think you are doing this on purpose just to see me, Princess," Kyran replied, still wearing a very annoyed expression.

Celine's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as soon as Kyran addressed the young woman.

"P-Princess?" She exclaimed and immediately knelt on the floor in respect. "Y-Your highness—."

"No need for that, Hall Master Celine," Haylee immediately stepped forward and helped Celine to her feet. "I came here as Disciple Tyr's friend and not as the Crown Princess."

Kyran's frown deepened.

"We are not friends," he said.

Haylee looked at him with raised brows and giggled, "What's with this unmask animosity?"

Kyran shrugged and looked away. He really hated the fact that this girl looked so much like Cyneah.

"Please go ahead and heal them. After that, please leave before anyone realize who you are," Kyran told Haylee.

Celine's scalp had gone numb at Kyran's attitude toward the Crown Princess. But she was too shocked to comment and could only watch their exchange in silence.

"Very well," Haylee replied with a smile. Apparently not taking offence to Kyran's attitude.

What happened next made Kyran's heart sink, making his mood even darker.
