Osric lost more than half of the forces he took with him. Apart from that, he also lost the dummies who agreed to come. Even if Layla had agreed to let him take those dummies, it was because she believed he would take good care of them. Now that they were destroyed, Osric was truly mad.
They only had a couple of hundreds of those dummies, yet more than twenty of them were already destroyed.
Truly, the result of this battle was such a disgrace to Osric. He was a Legendary mage, yet he failed to prevent such a thing to happen— not to mention, he actually fell to Kyran's trap and could not free himself from the latter's Containment Array.
This was truly a disgrace!
Still, although Osric thought this, others would disagree. His loss might be disgraceful if his opponent had been a normal mage and not the new Dark Sage. Frankly, the result could be considered predictable given Kyran's seemingly omnipotent Void magic.
On one hand, if Kyran's allies were to know Osric's sentiment, they might mock him. For a person to feel disgraced after a loss meant he believed he could win. But could one really win against someone like Kyran who possessed not only Void magic but also Draconic magic? Osric thought too highly of himself!
'This is not over!' Osric thought while looking for a loophole in the Containment Array that he could exploit. 'You should have killed me when you had the chance! Because you did not, then I will come after you and make you pay tenfold!'
While Osric was cursing Kyran, the object of the former's hatred, the latter, was busy warping the Conclave's and the Army's members to the Regis Estate.
Kyran could warp around five thousand people at once, if he combined his internal magic energy and the magic energy he absorbed. But because he almost exhausted his internal magic energy, he mostly relied on the newly absorbed magic energies and could only warp around two to three thousand people at the same time.
Cyneah already healed Kyran and he had mostly recovered from his fatigue. However, even with her healing, his internal magic energy had not recovered completely.
Cyneah looked disappointed after realizing she could not heal him completely. If not for Stella assuring her it was not because she lacked the capability to do so but because she had already used up a lot of her magic energy after assisting in healing all their injured members, Cyneah would have insisted on continuing Kyran's treatment.
In the end, Cyneah could only stop and rest for a while before trying to heal Kyran again.
Meanwhile, Kyran did not want Cyneah to waste her energy trying to heal him. Since he could already move and use his magic, it was more than enough.
Kyran realized it before, but he was even more convinced at how convenient it was to have a really powerful healer with him. Given his tendency to overexert himself, he was likely to collapse. Having an enhanced body was not even helpful if he truly pushed himself to his limits.
In any case, Kyran started to think of ways to upgrade one or two of his puppets to include 'healing' capabilities.
Although most of Kyran's puppets knew how to create healing potions and pills, as well as using healing spells, it was not enough. He needed to learn how a healer mage truly worked and convert it to formulas he could then input in few of his puppets.
He just hoped healing capabilities did not mean one had to possess specific types of magic— example was Light magic that focuses on healing, or Cyneah's Soul magic.
Now that Kyran thought of it, Cyneah was still missing a Soul core. Although she could rouse the Soul magic energy in the surroundings and let it circulate in her body, he did not know if it was enough for him to address her as a Soul mage.
In the end, Kyran out aside the matter about Cyneah being a Soul mage and focused on the task at hand.
On the other hand, while Kyran was busy, Stella and the rest were able to connect with the Patriarch Aron in the Lumley's Ancestral Hall and Patriarch Ezra, in Noser.
They already confirmed the two side already dealt with the enemies and were about to rendevouz in Noser.
As for the two squads of the Regis Special Force that went after Soll, the latter suddenly disappeared from their radar and they were forced to continue on the Courtenay Residence. After that they set up a transmission array that would lead them inside the Regis Estate's Outer Walls.
The Montgomeray Family had also completed their preparations and they were ready to transport their people to the Regis Estate.
Rin also wanted to return, but Aron thought otherwise.
At the moment, her presnsce was crucial for them. If not for her, White Lily would not be able to keep the Soul Emperor busy.
Nevertheless, Aron also knew that Rin was barely managing to support White Lily because of the gap in their mage levels. He was worried that she would end up collapsing from exhaustion if they left her be.
Anette then presented herself and said that she would help Rin recover.
Everyone in the Alchemy Association were aware of Anette's abilities. Thus, none of them refute her. Still, Aron had someone come with Anette and ensure that she and Rin would be alright.
After much discussion, it was agreed that after Aron and his side rendezvous in Noser with Ezra's, they would all go to the Regis Estate together.
The reason they would not go there at once was to ensure the Solum Tribe members could heal all the injured members and beasts from the Courtenay Family, Lumley Family, and Regis Special Forces first.
Since the Regis Estate was close to Ravenpass, the Soul Emperor might notice something and lure White Lily away and go to the Regis Estate to wreck havoc.
While it might seemed that the Soul Emperor had lost her Generals and even more than half of her forces, were destroyed there was no telling if she had truly lost them all or not.
Even if she could not use her magic completely, she was still capable of affecting others using Soul Bind, or Soul Scan. Apart from this, she had the Macrabe Glacier. She even had everyone in Ravenpass as hostages. She might even use them as her 'soldiers,'
With all of these things to consider, Aron and the others agreed to rendezvous in Noser first before going to the Regis Estate. At least in Noser, they could tend to their wounded first so when they arrived in the estate, they were all ready for battle.
Those in the Tower of Conclave did not need to go to Noser because they had enough healers with Malia and the rest of the Conclave's alchemists being present there. They were able to heal their wounded with no problem.
Of course, few of them knew that the reason they were able to heal their wounded in such a short time was because of Cyneah.
At least, some of Kyran's people— Anette and Zephyr in particular— was aware of how powerful Cyneah's healing was.
While this was happening, in another part of the empire, Olivia and Lauren had also subdued the Soul Emperor's forces who came for them.
Silas suggested taking most of them as hostages. Unfortunately, everyone who survived chose suicide.
Their action made Olivia and Lauren distraught. After all, most of them had been part of the Aureole and had been one of them just a few hours ago.
On the other hand, Silas's and Baron's expressions turned grim after these people committed suicide. As far as they were concerned, people who died in such a way had far stronger lingering feelings and would possess more vengeful energy once 'resurrected.'
Since the enemy boss was the Soul Emperor, if she decided to 'resurrect' these souls and used as her army, would it not mean they would be more powerful than the others who were killed?
Regardless of what they might become, Silas and Baron despised their action.
Alas, since they already did it, they could do nothing but feel remorse.
Honestly, Silas and Baron were overthinking it. These people chose suicide not because they wanted to amplify their vengeful energy. They simply chose such ending because they wanted to be useful to the Soul Emperor by becoming one of her 'undying army' once she rule the empire.
Alas, these people's believes were too twisted they were beyond saving even if they did not die.
After Olivia and Lauren regrouped with the rest of the Aureole that had arrived from their base, they also decided to go to the Regis Estate.
Silas and Baron did not suggest it, but Olivia and Lauren felt that the Regis Estate should be their next destination.
In Ravenpass, White Lily's attacked had gradually weakened and Layla noticed it.
With a smile, she looked up in the sky and said, "Shall we end this facade now?"
As soon as she said this, a portion of the sky distorted and a powerful magic fluctuation descended upon the land.
