Raya, Myst, and the rest of the Regis Elite almost popped their eyes out at Ames's display of strength.
It was not as if they had never witnessed an overwhelming strength that could reduce someone to nothing before because when they underwent training in the Tower of Tribulations, they were among those who survived plenty of near-death experiences, which involved getting caught up in a battle between Sovereigns, or a Sovereign going on a rampage and massacring a city in one of the unclaimed planes.
Still and all, there was a huge difference between those Sovereigns' display of strength from Ames. One was the target of their display.
Ames did not simply kill a Sovereign of the Lower Realm but from the Higher Realm. Raya, Myst, and the rest of the Regis Elite also sensed that the mage she killed just now was far stronger than a Sovereign. The Higher Realm was still unknown to them, but one thing they were sure of was all of its inhabitants were definitely superior.
If this was the case, just how powerful was Lady Ames?
On another note, Raya, Myst, and the rest were worried about what the mage said about the situation in the Dragon plane. They were told that the being after their young master was a big shot in the Higher Realm. That being also managed to connect their young master's relationship with the Dragon Clan.
From this, it was not hard for Raya, Myst, and the rest to conclude that that being had ordered the siege against the Dragon Clan to ensure they could not send someone to protect their young master.
Fortunately, Lady Ames was already in the Lower Realm before that happened. Unfortunately, the being's appearance had been so sudden that she failed to stop their young master from encountering the former. If she did, their young master would not be on the run.
The Emperor's Elite Mages were stunned at Ames's move. They did not expect her to kill one of them when they barely arrived. If the mage who killed their fellow mage were from another clan, they would not have stayed frozen in place and already attacked. Unfortunately, they were before the daughter of the Dragon Emperor.
They were already aware of her presence in the Lower Realm and made preparations to deal with her. None dared underestimate her, which was why several of The Emperor's high-ranked elite mages had gathered to detain her.
Apparently, their supposed number advantage was useless against Ames because she could easily dispatch any of them with a mere glance.
That was right.
Ames simply looked at the mage beside the one she killed for speaking in such a condescending manner.
"Coward," Ames growled when the mage beside the one she killed did not respond to her provocation.
"It seems like the Dragon Clan has truly gone against His Majesty for you to attack one of His Majesty's Elite Mages blatantly."
The voice came from a new distortion that appeared several meters above them. Soon after, a golden throne emerged from the distortion, where a woman clad in golden armor with blade-like wings made of diamond hovering a few centimeters on her back.
The woman had a youthful face, which seemed to be carved from jade, with eyes that looked as if they were made of mercury. She was beautiful in a warrior-like way. Nonetheless, there was nothing beautiful in the way she scanned mercurial eyes at Ames and her people.
Was it truly possible for them to use Dragon magic energy and amplify their innate magic?
This question only fleeted through their minds for a moment before they felt a burning feeling coursing through their veins.
Meanwhile, The Emperor's Elite Mages scattered as soon as Raelia launched her first offensive. As they did, they attacked Ames with concentrated magic energy attacks from different directions.
Ames's eyes glowed silver as she activated the Dragon Eyes. Using her eyes, she was able to follow the trajectory of every attack launched by the Elite Mages. Her magic energy erupted, forming a translucent image of a silver dragon that covered her like armor.
As Ames made swiping motions with her arms, the clawed arms of the translucent silver dragon also moved. They collided with the incoming magic attacks, forcing them to explode before making contact with her.
Raelia, still sitting leisurely on her throne, willed her diamond blades toward Ames. They flew around, avoiding the Elite Mages's magic attacks while also aiming at Ames.
Swiping the magic attacks aimed at her was one thing, but it would be different when it came to Raelia's diamond swords. Although Ames appeared to have deflected Raelia's swords with relative ease, she was actually employing more than thirty percent of her magic energy with that move. That was because, if she was careless, those blades could cut through her.
Fortunately, Raelia was not an assh*le who would take hostages to ensure Ames would not be able to fight back. If not, Ames would have had trouble protecting herself and the Regis Elite, who had yet to retreat to safety.
The Emperor's Elite Mages, however, tried to attack them. Fortunately, the defense mechanism of Loar's ship was nothing to scoff at.
In any case, Raelia's mistake when she attacked Ames was ignoring the Regis Elite. As for the Elite Mages, although they would aim at the Regis Elite every now and then, they lowered their magic output compared to those aimed at Ames. This was the reason Loar's ship managed to defend against their attacks with no problem.
As to why it was a mistake to leave the Regis Elite alone? It was quite simple.
The Regis Elite were Ames's descendants. They were no pushovers. With her presence and the first seal of the Sigil being unlocked, the effect of the Sigil's Blessing would be immense.
The moment Raya, Myst, and the rest of the Regis Elite heard Ames, they knew at once what she was trying to tell them.
What were Dragons good at?
Destruction.
Chaos
And with that, the Regis Elite roused their magic energy, triggering their dragon blood.
They then joined the fray.
