Kyran decided not to remove the Tower of the Ancients from the space it fell to. But that did not mean he would pass on the opportunity to use its benefits.
As Cyneah had pointed out, letting his people enter and challenge the Tower of the Ancients would improve their knowledge and magic level. Kryan's only concern was their survival.
The difficulty level of the Tower of the Ancients was higher compared to the Tower of Tribulations. Kairos already confirmed the latter was made to cater to mages in the Lower Realm.
Considering this point, Kyran wanted to study how the tower's system worked with the assistance of every Ancient hiding inside. He would then find a way to ensure his people's safety as they navigate through the tower.
Since the Ancients were needed for Kyran to accomplish this, he had to keep them alive.
At the moment, the only way for the Ancients to survive was by staying inside the Tower of the Ancients— or more specifically, the Tower of the Ancients where they resided, which had to remain in a special space.
From the Higher Realm perspective, the portal was the only way to enter the Tower of the Ancients. Unfortunately, the portal could only open every 500 years after it accumulated enough magic energy.
That did not apply to Kyran, though. By taking advantage of the Void magic's nature, he could force open the portal that led to the Tower of the Ancients.
However, a problem arises with the other portals that other clans have discovered.
When Kyran accidentally forced the portal to open, all other portals reacted. Thus, if he wanted to enter the Tower of the Ancients using the Dragon Clan's portal, he first had to destroy the different portals.
However, destroying the portals would be tedious even for Kyran, especially when the clan representatives present there would do everything to protect their portal. Dealing with them inside the Tower of the Ancients was not much of a problem because he had the advantage of the Tower's acknowledgment.
However, if Kyran fought the clan representatives outside the tower, he would definitely suffer a considerable loss. Not to mention, he would expose his identity.
With this in mind, Kyran wanted to deal with the clan representatives while they were still inside the tower.
After taking everyone except Diara and the Ancients outside the tower, Kyran instructed Aki and Auto-one to protect Cyneah while keeping an eye on the rest. He then turned to Leif, who had been eyeing him closely since he appeared in the room.
"So, you finally decided to acknowledge my presence?"
Leif wanted to sound as casual as possible but was embarrassed after hearing the dismay in her voice.
Kyran did not reply and simply looked at her.
Frankly, he had yet to decide how to deal with Leif. In a sense, he owed her and her father the opportunity to enter the Tower of the Ancients. They might have planned to take advantage of him, but at the end of the day, everything worked out in his favor, so he did not resent them.
But not resenting them did not mean he should let her live.
Cyneah sensed Kyran's hesitation and said, "There is no point in shedding unnecessary blood. I'm sure we can develop a better solution for dealing with them."
Kyran looked at Cyneah with a slight frown. He understood where she was coming from, but the fact that Leif knew more than she should could put them at risk.
Kyran looked at him, but ultimately, he did not comment on his offer and made his way back to the platform, where the portal leading back inside the tower was waiting.
"Oi! Ladon's being nice here, and would you just leave without saying anything?" Thorn could not help but growl at Kyran.
Kyran ignored him and simply entered the portal.
Kyran contemplated how to deal with the clan representatives inside the tower. His main concern was identifying the clans under The Emperor and those on good terms with the Dragon Clan or neutral.
Frankly, Kyran would rather kill everyone inside the tower. But doing that would take time and borrowing Cyneah's words from earlier:
There is no point in shedding unnecessary blood.
Kyran would not hesitate to kill those who wronged his family. Even those who sided with his enemies would not be spared. But he was not a tyrant nor an unreasonable person. He would not kill innocent people unless he deemed keeping them alive would pose a considerable threat to his people.
At the moment, not everyone in the tower posed a threat. Thus, Kyran only wanted to kill those who would.
"We sent out a message to the others," Diara greeted as soon as Kyran stepped out of the portal.
Kyran returned to the room where Diara and the four Ancients stayed behind.
For the record, after explaining what Kairos said about the Ancients' future if they left the tower, they did not seem surprised and even appeared as if they already knew.
Kyran wanted their assistance in what he was about to do, so he assured them he would find a way to save them. He was even prepared to argue until they agreed. Surprisingly, Diara and the others decided before Kyran could tell them his rough plans to save them.
Thus, Diara and the four Ancients immediately messaged the rest of the Ancients to inform them of Kyran's plan.
"So far, half of them already replied and also gave the coordinates where some of the clans under the Solis Clan are facing a challenge."
"Alright, sort the coordinates by the lowest level to the highest."
"Do you plan on making the sweep yourself?" Diara asked with raised brows. "You know you can leave the small fries to us."
"I'll do that after seeing what those representatives can do."
"Are you saying you won't kill all of them?" Diara asked in confusion.
"We will," Kyran replied. "But first, I need to absorb their magic."
"Ah... I see."
As someone who was familiar with the Ancient Magic, they knew one of the nature of Void. Thus, Diara did not question Kyran's intention. In fact, they all saw it as a something they should have expected.
