'Young master?' Raya glanced at Kyran, who already turned his attention back to the list he was reviewing with Aillos.
'Dragons are a proud race,' Kyran continued to talk to Raya telepathically. 'The more they see you cower before them, they will continue to look down on you. However, they are also known for being noble. If you show them you are not afraid, then they will give you enough acknowledgment.
I'm not saying that their attitude will change completely, but they will stop looking down on you and will actually try to see you for what you are and probably your potential.'
Raya was somewhat surprised at the lengthy advice coming from their Young Master. This was because, apart from talking about Array or Magic theories, he would not say something like that to them.
'Thank you, Young Master.'
'Go now. Also, please tell Lady Ames that I'll go check on them after explaining the formation to that Ducal guy.'
Kyran had yet to learn all the names of Aillos's aides and what they were good at. He only knew the three aides Ames mentioned during her call after she gave a brief introduction of who they were. .net
Ducal was the most knowledgeable in terms of Array in the Dragon Clan. Aella and Nithe were also proficient in Array. They decided to come since they were curious about how Kyran planned to fix Coelus's corpse's seal.
Since Ames did not know what Kyran intended to do with Coelus's corpse, she only told Ducal and the rest of the aides that her father, along with Kyran and a few selected Regis members were working on a temporary fix on the seal.
Kyran did not bother to explain the formation they intended to do since the signal was unstable and there were points on it that were better explained in person than through a communication device.
"I'll be right back."
Raya activated one of the transmission scrolls and left at once.
"I think we have sorted all the materials," Aillos said, nodding at the list they finally completed.
Kyran nodded while looking at the updated list, "Yes."
The materials were now divided into three categories: one, were materials available in the Dragon Clan's treasury; two were materials that could be found in the Dragon Plane; three were those that would have to be created through Void magic.
Materials under the second category were rare but easily acquired if one of the aides searched for them. Since they would not be necessary until later stages of array creation, it was fine to look for them.
Some materials under the third category could also be found in the Dragon Plane. However, since they were needed during the early stages of the array creation, they could not waste time searching for them.
"I'll discuss the materials once Aella, Ducal, and Nithe arrive," Aillos continued before looking at Kyran sternly. "As for you, go rest."
Kyran frowned, "I'm fine—."
"Says the guy who is practically sweating buckets because he could barely protect his core," Aillos snorted. "You should look in the mirror. You look like one of the undead."
"Milord is right, Kyran."
Cyneah, who had kept her silence since she did not want to disturb them, spoke up and voiced her agreement.
"While we are on the subject of your condition," she hastily added. "Please remove your domain. I may not be of much help, but if I can alleviate your condition a little, you can circulate your Void magic energy better and protect your core."
She was basically telling him that she would support him while he recovered a bit so he could create the materials under the third category of their list.
Cyneah could not see the list, but based on what she could hear from their discussion, there were still more than ten materials that Kyran had to create. Creating those would definitely take a huge toll on him if he did it while enduring his condition.
"I'll be counting on you, as always."
Surprisingly, Kyran did not argue. In fact, he intended to ask Cyneah's help once he started creating the materials. He only told Aillos he was fine because he believed that with Cyneah's healing, he could continue to work without having to rest.
"You can rest in Raya's tent, Young Master," Zoll said and approached them. "I'll walk you there."
He then explained what Ames tried to avoid telling them.
"Impossible!"
All three exclaimed after hearing the gist of what Kyran and the others intended to do.
"Ancients created the seal," Ducal started with furrowed brows. "It is impossible for anyone to make use of its formulas and connect it to a new formation. Does he think he is some sort of Array God?"
When Raya and the rest of the Regis heard Ducal, their face distorted in displeasure.
Ducal was badmouthing the blueprint created by their Young Master; no matter how much the dragons belittle them, they should at least look at the blueprint before saying anything.
"Before saying it is impossible, go check the blueprint first."
Aillos said what Raya and the rest of the Regis wanted to say, and they were grateful for him.
Unbeknownst to them, Aillos only said that because he could not be bothered explaining the new formation and wanted Aella, Ducal, and Nithe to look at the blueprint and figure everything out themselves.
Aella, Ducal, and Nithe exchanged furtive glances but ultimately followed Aillos's advice and looked at the blueprint on the ground.
Almost half an hour later, the three looked as if they had eaten something bitter because of their distorted expressions.
"T-This.... formation and all the formulas..."
"It is preposterous... yet..."
"Ingenious..."
Although their words might not have been directed at them, Raya and the other Regis members could not help but feel proud. It was their Young Master's work, after all. Although they had yet to see if it would really work, because of how flawless his calculations were that connected the seal's intact parts to the new formation, they believed they would succeed.
"Good," Aillos said with a smile. "Looks like you three understand the new formation. Let's get down to business then."
Ducal was the first one to snap out of his reverie and looked at Aillos, "Milord, this new formation will cost a lot of—."
"I already agreed to open the treasury and provide some of the materials," Aillos told them. He then showed them the list he and Kyran completed and explained how they would gather all the materials.
"Void magic..." Aella shook her head in disbelief, "I cannot believe its nature can accomplish something like that."
"These guys have already seen him create materials out of thin air," Aillos pointed toward Raya and the others. "We can trust their words for it."
When Aillos pointed at them, the three aides turned and for the first time looked at them.
Ducal scowled and said, "They look like him."
"They only inherited his color," Aillos corrected.
"Doesn't matter. Dark hair, dark gray eyes... color that could easily smear a perfectly white canvas."
"Ducal."
Ducal stopped short upon hearing Aillos's warning tone.
"That is enough."
"I'm sorry."
Though Ducal apologized, he only directed it at Aillos.
