T/N: Feels like my progress per chapter is getting slower. Instead of needing 4 days to complete 2 chapters, I now need more than a week to complete it.
============================================================
I now have 3 Iwaos, so I have been feeling more secure. The sight of having three Iwaos lining up at the entrance of the cave was spectacular.
I equipped Iwao No. 1 and No.2 with the usual club, and I ordered the newly produced Iwao No.3 to hold the torch. It’s becoming hard to tell which Iwao is having what number, so I guess I’ll need to create some paint soon to mark the numbers on them.
My current status was like this:
####
Creation Magic : Lv.6
Acquired Experience:117/1500
MP 213/321
Food Production : Lv.4(EXP:196/800)Food creation time reduced by 7%
Tools Production : Lv.3(EXP:495/500) Tool creation time reduced by 5%
Weapon Production : Lv.1(EXP:84/100)
Material Creation : Lv.2(EXP:18/300)
Golem Production : Lv.2(EXP:24/300)Golem creation time reduced by 3%
Medicine Production ――

I’ve finally raised the level of Golem Production and unlocked the option of new golem creation
####
Item Production:Stone Golem type S(Small)(Lv.1)
Category:Golem production(Lv.2)
MP Consumption : 115
Explanation:A humanoid stone golem. Able to receive instruction and work to some extent. Power output is small but agile. Dexterous and able to do detailed work.
Production time:49 hours
####
It seems to be a different type of stone golem than Iwao.
I still had some salted meat left and there’s no tool that needs to be produced immediately, so I decided to continue ahead with producing the new type of golem.
I’m glad that since my Golem Production is level 2, the time needed to make golem is reduced by 3%. Usually, it took 48 hours to make Iwao, but now it takes 1 hour and 26 minutes less time than before because of the 3% reduction.

The next day, we continued to work on the creation of the fields. Well, I said ‘we’ but actually it was the Iwaos that were working. The number of workers had increased, so the efficiency of the work also improved significantly.
In the space where trees and stones had been removed, humus was brought in from the forest. Iwao then plowed with its hands, preparing the field to be planted with potatoes.
If I remember correctly…. potatoes are robust and easy to grow…. I think I grew them in the school field when I was in the third grade of middle school.
If I had known it’ll be like this, I would’ve listened to my teacher more seriously about how to grow potato, instead of just playing around making mud dumplings with my stupid classmate Yoshida-kun.
Let this be a lesson for all of you guys; don’t be like me!
Listen to your teacher!
Since you’ll never know, you might get swept away to another world someday! [1]

After two days passed, the new golem finally completed.
Chime ♪
Stone golem type S Time until finished 00:00:00
Stone golem type S production is completed. Please specify the location to appear.
It’s finally here! I know it says that its size is small, but let’s make it appear outside of the cave just in case.
The golem that appeared was smaller than the Iwaos, it’s only about 140 cm tall. Although described as humanoid, it looked more like a monkey; its movements were similar to those of the Japanese macaques we had seen at Monkey Mountain.
“It’s said that you’re agile, but how much can you move?”
So I asked the golem, and it responded by quickly doing summersault twice.
Yep, it’s a monkey alright. A stone monkey, to be precise.
If that’s the case, its name will be Goku [2]
He seems to be dexterous, so I am sure he will be of great help for small tasks that the Iwaos are unable to do. I have high expectations for his work from tomorrow.
I felt like eating rice for the first time in a while, so I set the table and went to sleep that night.

Another half month has passed.
My living conditions have improved considerably.
It should be noted that my cave now has proper door and window, thanks to Goku doing a great job on it. Goku was much more dexterous than I expected and could do carpentry work without problem.
Thanks to him, the inside of the cave has been remodeled. Wooden frames have been put on the wall to partition it, so now there are two rooms: the small room has the size of about 4 tatami mats [3] and the rest of it becomes the large room.
The small room was where I put the bed filled with memories of Chris and me together. In other words, it’s my private room.
The big room was for welcoming guest. That being said, I placed two bunk beds there along with tables and chairs.
I also hang a sign on the wall.
“Welcome! To Monte Chris Island — Shirou’s Inn –”
With this, I’m ready for Cecily’s return.
I sometime wondering if Chris would return here, but I understand that there’s no way she would do that. After all, the fate of 10,000 Eastern garrison soldiers’ lives rests on her shoulders, and she’s not the kind of person who would throw that away and return to this island.

Things have been going well, but two weeks ago something surprising happened.
That was, Iwao No. 1 suddenly stopped moving.
I thought I saw something like a red blinking light around the chest area of Iwao No.1, and around an hour later it stopped moving. When I tried to check its status, turned out there was nothing wrong with it and only ran out of energy. After I put my palm on the blinking area and injected MP into it, Iwao No.1 started moving again.
Looking back on it now, it’s kinda funny, but at the time I was really surprised.
Well, it’s a given that a golem would need of energy to move, right? And it took around 50 MP to replenish it.
That means I would need to plan ahead to regularly replenish MP for all of my golems from now on. [4]
After checking the status panel, I found out that I can instead replenish the golem’s energy by using magic stones, which is a crystallization of magic power. However, I have no idea where to find magic stones. I can probably acquire them if I kill some monsters, but I don’t think I’m able to do it.
Maybe I can get some by killing slimes?
No, that’s also impossible. The slime in the river had become a part of my life.
They purify the water and clean up my household waste. I even have a strange feeling of kinship with them because they grow up on my waste. And I don’t know is it because they have gotten used to me, but nowadays they don’t even get bothered by me when I approach them, and they swim beside me when I bathe in the river.
That’s why, there’s no way I can start hunting them now, and so I decided to put the matter of magic stone on hold for now. Well, I’m not in urgent need of magic stones at the moment anyway.

I was thinking that it was time to start cattle ranching after having agriculture as addition to my hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
I was fishing on the beach as usual when I spotted a huge creature flying in the sky.
“A bird…?”
No. It was… Pteranodon? And there was three of them.
They looked a lot like the pteranodon models I had seen at the museum, and were flying toward here in unison.
Don’t tell me, are they looking for prey?
I immediately raised my fishing rod and jumped into the bushes. Goku, who was nearby, followed my lead.
“Goku, tell the Iwaos to be fully-armed and on stand-by”
Gokou, who could not speak, nodded his head and walked into the forest. He could move from tree to tree like a monkey, so he should be able to reach the cave in no time.
Well, I said fully-armed and on stand-by because it sounded cool, but in reality it’s just Iwao’s usual regular club. That’s because I was more focused on improving living condition instead of Iwao’s equipment.
Next time, we might have to increase spending on defense. [5]
=============================================================
1 Ain’t that the dream of some of us folks, especially if it involves getting railed by otherworldly beauties. Yeah?
2 Son Goku is the Japanese version of Sun Wukong; the monkey king from the famous Journey to the West. Also, the Main Character’s name in Dragon Ball, but I’m sure everyone knows that already
3 One tatami mat size is about 0.9 m x 1.8 m, so 4 tatami mats would be around less than 8 m2
4 Bummer. That means he would need to have some MP in reserve for replenishing golem’s energy in case they suddenly run out of battery. Would totally hinders production process
5 not spending money, but spending MP and time
