“I will remember you!”
After circling them in anger, it jumped onto a tree, stabbing its terrifying claws into it so that it wouldn’t fall off of it and be able to climb upwards.
With two leaps, it was at the very top of the tree.
“Flap, flap!”
Spreading out its wings and flapping them, it flew into the sky. Its wingspan was 15 times that of an albatross. No doubt, its wings were huge enough to support its weight.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Roy eyed it murderously. He smashed the ground with his foot. The resulting impact bounced a thin sword upwards. The sword he had dropped was picked up again.
“Are you planning to hunt it?” Delilah asked.
“Mm-hmm.”
“Let me have a go at it first, please. You keep taking down all the monsters that come our way, leaving none for us to train with. My skills will rust at this rate.”
,?-?m Roy had been the only one having all the fun so far. That, of course, displeased a lot of people, including Delilah. She was raring to have a go at it. Her eyes were pitifully asking for his permission. How could he shoot her down?
Roy cupped his hand behind his back like an immortal hero and said, “I will sit back and watch how you deal with it.”
Those were the words the assassin had been waiting to hear.
Her temperament underwent an instant change.
When with the orphan, she was a cold but caring woman disguised as a man.
When dealing with Roy, she was a fresh flower, a flirtatious vixen.
But when she was out on a hunt, her true face would be revealed.
Her eyes brightened in a crimson glow as she pressed her feet against the ground and jumped up with violent momentum. Only outspreading cracks were left behind on the spot where she stood a moment ago.
“Whoosh!”
Like a rocket launched towards the moon, she shot after the monster.
In mid-air, her figure blurred. The onlookers saw her figure disappear into thin air.
“Where did she go?” Julian looked around in search of her.
“She’s there!” Aydin pointed at the monster.
If one were to look at the monster overhead carefully, they would see her standing on top of it.
“It’s time you tasted some pain, coward.”
She crouched down as she materialized two daggers, grabbed them by the hilt and brought them towards the monster that just flew through a cloud.
It was nothing more than a coward to her, as it first sacrificed its people to measure their strength and then ran away when it realized it was no match for them.
“Gwooo!”
A piercing roar reverberated throughout the sky, reaching the ears of the mortals down below, as the daggers were thrust into its flesh, causing it immense agony.
“Ting!”
The daggers only sank six inches inside its flesh before clashing with its bones and coming to a stop. Its bones were too hard. With her strength, it was impossible to shatter them using daggers like that.
“An ant is on my way. What to do?!” Veins bulged on the roaring Moon Reaper.
“There’s more where that came from!” Delilah showed it where the word “cruelty” originated from.
“Psh!” “Psh!”
Once, twice, thrice, and several more times. Her dagger went in and out of it crazily. She was like a professional stabber, roaming the streets and stabbing people left and right like a maniac.
Blood spurted out of the many stab wounds on its back like a water fountain.
Its hot blood splashed on her face, yet it failed to make her blink.
Was this murderous person the same woman that had bickered, flirted, and seduced Roy?
Its eyes turned red. “Fuck off me, human!”
Just as she was about to cut off the engines (wings) of this plane (winged-monster), it did a flip in the air, causing her to fall off of it.
She dropped to the ground.
She closed her eyes, let go of her bloodied daggers, and wrapped her hands around her, free falling without a care in the world.
She bursts through one cloud after another and finally reappears in Roy’s sight.
Above her, he could also see a monster that was wobbling in its flight.
It has taken quite a plunge thanks to Delilah, who lost the hairpin keeping her hair in place.
Caressed by the wind, her hair billowed, and her clothes fluttered for the same reason.
As she experienced what it seemed like to fall to one’s death, there was a satisfying smile on her face.
“I have missed what this feels like.”
Just as her figure reached ten meters above the ground, she snapped open her eyes.
Reflected in them was a glowing moon that shone resplendently and attracted countless gazes from all over the Far West Major World. The moon was the most attractive part of starless nights. There was no denying that. But if you ask the moon who has attracted its attention tonight, it would definitely point towards Delilah.
Her beauty rivaled the moon. That was a fact.
Her crimson eyes glowing under the moon, however, were something to lose oneself in. Even moonlight paled in comparison to her eyes.
She was about to crash to her death when she teleported, saving herself.
She reappeared beside Roy and patted his shoulder.
“I failed but dealt it considerable damage. The rest is up to you.”
“Consider it as good as dead.” Roy smiled at her and then turned to the Moon Reaper that was flying away at a low altitude.
This was the monster’s first attempt at survival. Although not an aura beast, it was above level 15. It had already gained a certain level of intelligence. Roy had easily killed its little brothers. Who’s to say that it too won’t be slain by him just that easily?
However, how could Roy possibly let it get away after it tried to hunt them down and then even threatened them?
He raised his hand. Veins popped up on his skin, stretching from his fingers all the way up to his temple. He looked terrifyingly handsome. His muscles exploded with strength as he smashed his foot into the ground and flung the lightest-weight sword he possessed upwards with all his strength.
“Whoosh!”
The monster that was getting further and further away trembled as it felt endangered. It flapped its wings haphazardly, hoping to escape the demons. What it didn’t know was that increasing its speed was the last mistake it would make. Because it was going faster than before, it entered the trajectory of Roy’s sword.
The sword stabbed through the air and charged upwards to the heavens like a divine arrow, capable of shooting down the sun, loosened from a divine bow.
It was faster than the monster could ever be.
And so it caught up to it in seconds.
“Gworghhh!” The monster cried out in agony as the sword stabbed one side of its wing and came out of another.
