Whoosh!
This was the sound of an arrow piercing through the air and advancing forward at breakneck speed. Roy picked it up, his ears perking up, his thick eyelashes fluttering.
Another one was coming at him from within the dark, but this time he was aware of it, was expecting it. Not only that, his sixth sense was tingling, a throbbing sensation telling him where it would pierce him. From this sensation, he instantly determined its trajectory and also made a plan to counterattack it between the gap in its attacks.
Roy had determined that it needed three seconds to prepare and launch an attack.
Just a split second later, the arrow entered his line of sight. Its triangular tip was golden, but it was radiating an intense level of energy and creating fluctuations in the energy found naturally in this place. This signified something unbelievable. Roy noted that it was coated in Force!!! Yes, it was. It was coated in Arrow Force.
It was moving very fast and was aiming to blow his shoulder, but he simply ducked it and rolled forward in the direction of the hidden archer as streaks of black, violent electric currents surged out of his back, crawling and flashing their way up to his hands, where they formed into mighty bolts of lighting before he came up in a crouch.
As he rose, he swung his hands forward, and the lightning bolts left his side, charging in the same direction the arrow came from. Flashes of glittering black brightened up the area between Roy and the target of his wrath. In a split second, after leaving behind a trail of black lights, they reached the Archer hidden in the dark, striking the thigh of its left leg and the knee of the other.
Bam!
Struck by the fierce black lightning, both its legs, which were made of iron, exploded, and big chunks of scorched metal flew, crackling with black electricity.
It was thrown off its feet in the most brutal and comical way ever and fell on the ground, face first.
“Grr!”
Groaning in anger as if even losing its legs couldn’t make it feel pained, it raised its head and, with its red, piercing eyes, glared at Roy as if saying, “I will not let you advance. I will kill you where you stand!”
“We are far from getting even! See how I burst you down!”
Roy glared back at the metallic husk of a devil whilst charging towards it and blasting it with his new true magic — mana bullets infused with black aura lightning, giving it no time to come up with a way to attack or push him back.
Dun! Dun! Dun!
It had only begun using its hand to lift its body off the ground when lightning-infused mana bullets fell on its body like a drizzle, forcing it to kiss the floor like a pervert with a foot fetish kissing feet before planting its face deep into it.
The bullets opened up holes in its body while the black lightning within them crackled all around it and ate its flesh like metal-eating parasites.
3-10th of its remaining body turned to ash as Roy bridged 2-3rd of the distance between them.
The metallic creature didn’t look pained, as if it was a puppet that could move by itself. The only emotion its egg-sized eyes showed was anger. Anger has overtaken it. It was like a stimulant that coursed throughout its crippled body, giving it enough strength to bear the frontal assault of Roy’s never-ending magic attacks, raise its hand and point out his face with its forefinger.
The second it did that, Roy’s sixth sense tingled, and a weird feeling surged into his chest. He was too familiar with it. It had saved its life too many times, and just recently, it had helped him avoid having his head pierced, and shoulder blasted.
He ducked as low as possible, bringing his knees and legs to the ground and bending his body forward such that his head was parallel to his knees as its finger took off like an arrow, advancing in Roy’s direction.
Bowing like a monk saved his life!
Whoosh!
It moved past him from over his head as he unfolded his body and pushed his feet against the ground to rush towards the archer like a maddened bull.
In less than three seconds, he bridged the gap between them, towering over it. Their eyes met. He tauntingly looked and smiled at it while it tried to stand up using one hand and draw out the huge scimitar strapped to its back using the other.
But before it could pull it out, Roy brought Ghost Chaser down on it after activating its special function and increasing its weight to 15 tons.
Fifteen fucking tons of force smashed its head at an incredible, air-condensing speed, causing its head to crack open like an egg, and its face replanted on the floor again.
“Grr.” Angered beyond what can be described, it used its chest to push its body off the ground and pounce on Roy. Its jaw opened. It didn’t have teeth, but it did have sharp knives in the place where humans would have lips.
Roy stepped back as its jaw snapped in mid-air.
Pa!
The next instant, Roy slapped it with his thick, meaty sword, causing it to be slightly embedded into the wall just like the luminous stone.
Wham!
Before it could slide down the wall, another strike landed on it. As a result, its back pressed against the wall with such strength that it was embedded deeper into the wall.
It was being crucified, but Roy used his thick sword instead of nails to nail it into the wall.
Wham!
Grr!
Be damned!
Grr!
Slam! Slam! Bam!
Roy rained down on it a torrent of sword blows. He didn’t stop attacking it until its chest caved in, looking worse than a hollowed-out trunk of a tree and its skull flattened, becoming as flat as a pancake or a flat-chested girl!
『Ding! Congratulation. You have killed a rank-2 Armored Spirit Archer.』
