Yulran’s gaze of scrutiny landed on Roy, making the latter feel so disturbed and unnerved that he subconsciously stepped back from him by three steps.
Roy felt as if Yulran was seeing through him, and his guess was right on the mark.
Yulran really was scanning him, gaining a better understanding of his power level and skills.
Suddenly, a mysterious light flickered in Roy’s amulet, and Yulran closed his eyes.
“Ninam wasn’t able to create the Samadhi fire in his life, but you… I am quite sure you can do it if given enough time. After all, you have that.” Yulran said to Roy after a moment.
“How did he…?!!!”
Roy’s eyes dilated, and his heart trembled.
Yulran has somehow sensed that he had the Fire Control skill.
‘How terrifying is he? He can even tell what skills I have with just a glance! His sensory and information gauging skills are even better than mine and the main female character!’
Roy felt more wary of Yulran than ever.
It’s good that he didn’t have much energy in his soul and was about to disappear.
Otherwise, Roy had no doubt that Yulran would have discovered all his secrets.
Roy suppressed the tribulation in his heart, not letting his poker face break before saying to him, “You can count on me. I will definitely finish what Ninam failed to in his lifetime.”
In a sense, he was Ninam’s inheritor.
Ninam was his teacher, although they had never met.
It was Roy’s duty to fulfill his teacher’s wishes.
Ninam failed to kill Voss. So Roy should do his best at taking take down Voss for him.
This way, he would repay what he owed Ninam and also clean his ancestral land.
“You better do. Actually, you don’t have long to do that. I have divined that Voss will free himself in two years and then escape the Ashen Land with the help of an obscure, malevolent figure. I didn’t get a clear picture of who is going to help him escape, but I am sure he is related to Chaos.”
Yulran eyed Roy and the Formless Siren, saying to them, “Currently, the two of you will get chased by Voss’s son after you take her out of this chamber. They can’t escape the Ashen Land. You will be fine once you leave this place. But after three years, Voss will hunt down both of you personally across the Far West Major Realm. And trust me, when an evil god wants a man at or below the Grandmaster realm dead, they die in half a day.”
Roy saw the Formless Siren trembling like a thin tree in harsh winds.
Chills crept up her spines.
She hated that sick pervert Voss more than anything.
For more than a century, once every month, he had told her the various ways he would ruin and **** her, how he would eat her children in front of her, all to break her down mentally so she won’t even think of resisting him.
He was using the Fear method to subdue her, but he only succeeded in traumatizing her.
She was disgusted with him, and just the thought of being chased by him killed him from the inside and made her guts churn.
Seeing her like that, Roy got a taste of an inexplicable feeling, and his eyes also burned with an unimaginable amount of anger.
‘That bastard… Just what fucked up things did he do to make my wife so scared of him?!’
He gritted his teeth; the desire to kill Voss escaped the corner of his eyes in the shape of buzzing electric lights.
But greater than his anger towards Voss was his desire to comfort and please his wife.
Clearly, they had just met, but because an Eternal Bond had been established between them, and he was her fated, the look of sorrow on her face was enough to pain him.
The desire to hold her erupted in his heart, and he grabbed her by the hand before pushing her into his embrace yet again, patting her head and running his fingers through her hair.
The Formless Siren raised her head to look at who it was that suddenly hugged her.
Reflected in her dreamy crimson eyes was the face of the cheap husband who was reluctant to mate with her.
He spoke sweet nothings in her ears. “Everything’s going to be alright. He isn’t here, and I won’t let him anywhere near you. I promise.”
He placed a comforting kiss on her forehead, and she stopped trembling like a frightened rabbit.
To her, his words and kisses were similar to candy that a man would use to appease a crying child or a chocolate bar that a man would use to bribe a child into letting his mom go out on a date with him!
She felt comforted because of him.
Whilst hugging her, he looked at Yulran, “It took me less than two months to reach this level. In three years, I might be as strong, if not much stronger, than Ninam. Reaching his power level is something I am confident of achieving. Three years later, if he dares to come after us, I would thrash him like Ninam and seal him again. And there’s a chance I might have the thing necessary to seal his fate for good by then.”
Yulran smiled at Roy. “I hope you do.”
Yulran couldn’t come to this world because of Death. Otherwise, he would have used his Samadhi Fire to fuck that little shit countless years ago. He dared not only hunt down his descendants but also taint the playground he created with his close friend.
‘Even killing him a thousand death won’t lessen my anger, and I can’t even teach him a lesson.’
Yulran sighed like a sore loser.
He felt like a failure as he had failed his descendants.
He was unable to help them deal with this menace and also Death.
They had to overcome them themselves.
