The Nine Draconian Seal was Yulran's natal treasure, which was bestowed upon him by the Patriarch of the Dragon Clan when he was born.
In his younger years, he remained undefeated. Absolutely no one was his match.
His excellent natal treasure contributed the most in helping him establish a legend. It was able to break down any form of existence, be it a mass of energy or a carbon body, into nine pieces and seal it. Almost all his opponents were surprised or overwhelmed when he used it in battle.
He passed it on to his descendants before he flew away in search of a cure for the Water Celestial.
The Water Celestial shared a rich and meaningful history with Yulran. They were the youngest in their respective clan.
'It's easy to interact with someone your age.'
Such a thought popped up in their mind when they first heard about each other, and when they met for the first time, they found out that they shared many things in common and even had the same dream, so they became friends.
They didn't only grow up together but also studied under the same teacher.
Growing up, they were almost inseparable.
Everyone knew that if you found the Water Celestial, Yulran would be close by, if not next to him.
They were childhood friends who, in order to fulfill their dreams, adventured together after growing up and eventually founded the Flying Empire.
It had four founders, and two of them were Yulran and the Water Celestial.
It was destroyed a few centuries after it was formed, but it managed to leave its mark on the history of a Major World far bigger and different than the Far West Major World.
Even after its fall, they didn't forget about their brotherhood and continued being the best of friends.
The Water Celestial had played with almost all his items, including his natal treasure. The Nine Draconian Seals had developed an equal number of spirits when Yulran had used his essence blood to nourish each of the circular disks. These spirits were extremely responsive to the Water Celestial. Yulran was their creator. However, he only used them in battles to take down his enemies. The Water Celestial, on the other hand, was the one who had played with them most and treated them like his children. They were extremely responsive to him.
Although years have passed since they last met, the Nine Draconian Seals haven't forgotten about him. They were almost as obedient to him as their creator. It was extremely hard for even the current owner of the Nine Draconian Seals, the Patriarch of the Baldwin Clan, to make them obey his will. But it was extremely easy for the Water Celestial to make them follow his command. They obeyed his will like obedient children.
"As you command, Imperial Uncle." As mentioned before, Yulran was their creator. Everything that he had created referred to him as their father. The Water Celestial was Yulran's sworn brother, and they were the heads of two of the Four Ruling Clan of the Flying Empire. They were famously known as the Red & Golden Imperialists. It was quite common for the children of Yulran, who knew about their close relationship, to refer to the Water Celestial as Imperial Uncle.
Following his command, the spirits of the nine circular disks released the nine pieces of Damien's godly power. They then exited his body, breathing out a sigh of relief as they floated towards the Water Celestial and fell on his palm.
"Grandpa, I feel like there is an ocean flowing inside me." Damien asked, "What is this?"
As it invaded the manifestation of his consciousness, Damien felt both hot and cold. His body heated up, and his cheeks flushed red. At the same time, it was as if someone had dumped cold water on his head, and his mind had become foggy. He didn't know, but he suddenly felt full yet also extremely thirsty and hungry. His senses were going haywire. He was feeling one thing and desiring something totally opposite.
"It's your innate power. Merge with it." replied the Water Celestial calmly.
The Nine Draconian Seals used to be present in the depth of Damien's consciousness. That was exactly where they sealed his innate power. Now that they had set it free, it immediately filled his consciousness, causing it to inflate, which in turn made him feel full, as if he had eaten a tribe of dragons.
"I will try," Damien uttered.
He tried digesting what he imagined was an ocean. It was about to flow out of him, but suddenly, it started flowing backward as if pulled back by his thoughts. It was hard to discern, but it was merging with him slowly and steadily. As a result, he no longer felt thirsty or hungry. He felt that way only because he subconsciously wanted to regain control over his innate power, which was like a part of himself.
"It's a surprise that you are able to hold it all in the manifestation of your consciousness without letting any of it leak out." The Water Celestial praised him, "You are doing a good job."
Considering that Damien was born with it, the Water Celestial didn't think it was a miracle that he was able to control it.
"This feeling is too wonderful. I have only absorbed a portion of it, but my strength has increased by leaps and bounds. I think I will become really strong if I make it all mine. Let's focus."
Damien closed his eyes, focusing on fusing his innate power with his consciousness.
The Nine Draconian Seals shone so brightly that Damien's vision would have been compromised like the Water Celestial if his eyes were opened.
The shine receded soon after, and nine well-dressed ethereal babies with unparalleled cuteness were left sitting cross-legged above the circular disks.
They had tears in their big bright eyes, and they looked at the Water Celestial emotionally, intending to complain.
"We were this close to being destroyed by his innate power. If we hadn't been allowed to set it free, I am afraid we would have ceased to exist."
"I was horrified when it shattered the barrier sustained by the nine of us working together with a few strikes. And my heart almost jumped out of my chest after it attacked us, dragging us close to Death's gate. Even now, I can't shake off the feeling of nearly being killed by it."
"Boohoo!"
"We have been wronged, Imperial Uncle."
While resting on his palm, they complained to the Water Celestial without any intention of stopping.
"Quiet."
He spared them a meaningful glance, and they closed shut their mouths, whimpering occasionally. None of them dared to disobey him as he was like a father to them, and they were quite sensible, although they had a childish appearance and mentally.
There were countless deep and wide cracks on the nine circular disks. The fact that their faces were as white as sheets and tears welled up in their eyes due to pain reflected how severely injured they were. The Water Celestial rubbed the nine circular disks and patted their heads. The wisps of divinity that spiraled out of his palm escaped into them. Their injuries healed and the cracks on the nine disks closed. If someone were to look at it now, they would no doubt gasp in awe. This was a rank-1 runic item. There weren't a lot of such treasures in the Far West Major World. Maybe their number doesn't even reach 10!
"Thank you, Imperial Uncle." the kids said and vanished into the seals.
"No need to thank me. I just rewarded you for your efforts. Besides, how can I let you be wronged after you worked so hard to keep him alive?" the Water Celestial replied.
Meanwhile, Damien's innate power merged with his consciousness. He was alleviated to a level beyond what was comprehensible.
"How are you feeling?" The Water Celestial asked when Damien opened his eyes.
Damien's lips parted. His pearly white teeth were revealed when he smiled.
"Great," he responded. "The wall you can't cross unless you awaken and the walls following that. They have already shattered for me."
He felt as powerful as a True being.
Usually, someone extremely talented and lucky would need to undergo grueling training, have enough patience to remain constant at it for centuries, and have the luck to constantly obtain natural treasures to obtain the power Damien had received by just merging with his innate power.
"I think I understand why Chaos is so greedy for it," Damien said.
"It's said that once a millennium, the divinity that the Water God and the Forefather of Dragons have left in the stars shines on a Fated Couple. The blessed couple's offspring are given the best of what their blood lineage has to offer." The Water Celestial said while looking at Damien with warm eyes. "You are one such child."
