Chapter 376 A Fearsome Fight (B)

Her silky, smooth skin was without a mark, while the furs of the hyenas were dyed red with blood!

Roy squinted his eyes as another important detail entered his mind when he inspected her opponents. "The shallow wounds might not seem much at first glance, but they've induced multiple bleeding debuffs on them. They are losing blood rapidly. It won't take long before they collapse."

The grievous wound was a cover-up.

From the very start, Delilah was aiming to make them bleed to death!

"It's just that she has miscalculated. The Fire-Clawed Laughing Hyenas are the most cowardly magical beasts, but they are also the smartest. They will change their tactics before her plan can succeed." Roy seemed to already see things become unfavorable for her.

Magical beasts were prideful, especially if they were the leader of their pack.

They would die rather than admit that their opponent was stronger than them.

But what if they had no pride?

What if they took pride in being cowardly?!

Such was the case with these hyenas.

Roy didn't need to wait for too long to see the change he was expecting.

The leader of the pack opened its smelly mouth.

"WAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

And a ghostly wail resounded.

The bunch of hyenas that were waiting for him to get down before they could beat the shit out of him suddenly turned their backs on him. He was ignored like he wasn't even there. From being the target of their attention, he became the butt of their joke.

His lips twitched as he mouthed, 'The details sent by the system were on point. These bastards are really annoying, and they fear their leader more than gods and demons.'

Following its command, they rushed to attack Delilah, closing in on her from all sides. The only thing good about this situation was that Roy was no longer the target of their bitchy taunts.

Seeing the underlings surrounding her, the pack leader and the second strongest of the pack hurriedly disengaged from the fight and moved backward.

First off, they had both small and large injuries and thus couldn't fight properly.

Secondly, they firmly believed that the many underlings would take her down.

They knew that a few might be sacrificed in the process, but so what? It's not like they were the ones dying!

Delilah saw her opponents wobble away indifferently, but the chilling smirk that hung at the corner of her pretty mouth told Roy that those two beasts would see Yama sooner than expected.

A moment after they disengaged from the fight, the surrounding beasts caught up to her.

She didn't get to breathe at all as dozens of beasts pounced toward her. Her voluptuous and youthful figure was covered by their bodies.

'Was it too much for her?' Roy was ready to swoop down and rescue her, but he ceased his action as he sensed a sudden energy fluctuation coming from her.

'Ah, so that's what she is up to you. I guess her smirk is really telling the truth.'

The strongest two of the pack, who were at the very back couldn't see her as her figure was covered by their underlings.

They heard snapping sounds and seemed to see her being torn apart by their underling.

Thus thought made them immensely happy.

Just as a gleeful glint flashed in their eyes, their worst nightmare dropped on their head, and they felt immensely pained.

Her weight wasn't enough to crush them, but the dagger she pushed into their heads made them see the afterlife. She twisted her daggers, causing another wave of immense pain to assault them.

It knocked the life out of them literally.

They didn't get to wail before their limp body collapsed to the ground, as lifeless as a corpse.

『Ding! The leader of the Fire-Clawed Laughing Hyenas and his strongest henchman has been killed. Delilah gained 450 EXP』

After issuing this notification, the system asked him the same thing again as the previous time, and he gave it a familiar response.

『You have given up on the right to collect EXP from your subordinate』

『450 Experience points were consumed to refine Delilah's aura sea』

This time Roy's hidden blade felt it. She felt her aura sea compress to half its original size. This freaked her out.

She couldn't understand it. She had estimated that it could take three months before she could reach the advanced level of the second stage. But her strength increased all too suddenly. Now, she believed that she would reach the next level in a few weeks. However, how did it happen?

She thought back to what she had experienced. Her aura sea was refined when she killed the two beasts. So her sudden increase in strength was related to killing them. But she had killed a lot and never gained such benefits.

"I never had the ability to become strong from killing monsters. It just came to me. But why?"

She just needed to think a bit to recognize that this sudden change occurred after Roy patted her head or, in his own words, gave her his blessings!

"He must have an answer." She spared him a glance before focusing her sight on the rest of the pack.

She whistled, attracting all heads to turn towards her.

What the hyenas saw left them flabbergasted.

The person they were supposedly biting was standing where she shouldn't be and next to her were two familiar faces. Oh, they were now corpses!

Wait!

At this moment, a dreadful thought struck the poor beasts.

If she is there, who the heck was we so eagerly biting, and why did it taste so smelly when human women are supposed to smell great?!

It was answered when they spared each other a lengthy glance.

Oh, we were biting ourselves!

They had bitten five of them to death and even chewed their flesh!

They were cowards. They were smelly. They wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice their brethren for the greater good of the pack. But they weren't cannibals! Now they had become one!

It really made one cry!

They looked at Delilah aggrievedly with bloodshot eyes.
