Liu Yong dove for the second time with ease, feeling confident as he navigated his way to the sunken ship.
As an experienced diver, he knew the drill and analyzed the surroundings before swimming through a ragged hole straight to the cargo warehouse. He ignored other cabins, confident that his goal lay in the warehouse.
Having searched the cockpit, office cabin, and a few living quarters, Liu Yong focused on the remaining cabins.
He skipped the engine room and sundry storage, not expecting to find anything of value there. He knew what he wanted and headed straight for the warehouse.
Liu Yong navigated through the narrow passages easily, thanks to his immense strength that allowed him to move objects blocking his way.
He held an "extra large flashlight" in his hand, its bright light guiding him through the dark. Finally, he reached the second floor below the deck, where he expected to find the cargo warehouse.
He approached a large cabin with a closed door, much larger than the other cabins he had encountered. Liu Yong tried pushing the door, but it remained shut. He wasn't one to give up quickly and hung the flashlight around his neck before moving the door hard with both hands.
"I don't believe it can't be pushed away," he muttered, his determination unwavering. He knew he was close to finding what he was looking for and would not let a stubborn door stand in his way.
For the second time, Liu Yong was familiar with the way and soon came to the side of the sunken ship, looked around, analyzed where the cargo warehouse was, and then swam in through a ragged hole.
Other cabins ignore it directly.
Liu Yong's goal is clear: the ship's cargo warehouse.
The cockpit and office cabin on the ship have been searched, and a few living cabins have also been explored. In the remaining other cabins, such as the engine room and sundry storage, Liu Yong thinks it is unlikely that there are valuable things in them.
Go straight to the warehouse.
Through the passage, Liu Yong arrived at the second floor below the deck of this ship. If everything is correct, the cargo warehouse may be on this floor.
Holding this "extra large flashlight" in his hand is like a giant searchlight. The light is very bright; no need to search in the dark. Liu Yong's speed is relatively fast.
There are often things blocking the narrow passage. Fortunately, Liu Yong has excellent strength. With a pull or a strong pull, he can usually clear the space for himself to pass by.
Liu Yong: "This should be a warehouse."
After much effort, I finally reached the door of a cabin. This should be a large cabin, and its closed door is much larger than other cabins.
Liu Yong: "Let me try to push this."
(He tries to push the door, but it remains motionless)
Liu Yong: "I don't believe it can't be pushed away."
(He hangs the extra-large flashlight around his neck and pushes the hatch hard with both hands)
Suddenly, the hatch began to deform slowly and then rattled. After reaching a certain level, it finally opened with a bang.
Under enormous force, its door lock seemed to burst open.
Liu Yong: (Satisfied) "Yes, with such great power, I can basically be a superman."
(He takes the lamp and begins to search the cargo hold carefully)
Liu Yong: "Everything in here sucks."
(He talks to himself while searching, then takes the lamp and continues his search)
Liu Yong: "Does this ship have such a cargo room?"
Liu Yong: "Is there another warehouse?"
(He ponders for a while, then takes the lamp to illuminate everywhere on this floor and soon comes to the door of a cabin)
Liu Yong: (Excited) "Another door!"
(The door is tightly closed)
Liu Yong: "Let's see if this door can be pushed open."
Liu Yong had initially felt disheartened, but a glimmer of hope grew in his heart as he pondered the possibility of another warehouse on the ship. "Could it be that this is also a warehouse, and there are two warehouses on this ship?" he wondered aloud.
His companion agreed, saying, "Well, it's probably a warehouse. I want to open the door and go in to have a look."
Following the map they had found, Liu Yong exerted all his strength and pushed the cabin door open with a loud bang. He took out a lamp and peered inside, discovering ample space similar to the previous warehouse they had explored.
However, fewer items were inside, and the area was covered in a thick layer of mud.
Liu Yong was pleasantly surprised, realizing that this was indeed another warehouse. He swam inside with his lamp and took photos of the area.
Despite the thick layer of mud on the ground, he could see a few fallen iron shelves, half submerged in the soil and half exposed. These shelves were very sturdy, welded with thick-angle steel, and capable of supporting heavy items.
Although the shelves were eroded and covered in rust after decades of neglect, Liu Yong carefully took photos of them before moving on to other areas of the room.
Unfortunately, nothing else was inside the cabin besides the fallen shelves and the thick mud.
Liu Yong felt disappointed as his hope shattered, and he let out a soft sigh, ready to leave immediately.
However, he couldn't shake off his reluctance and continued exploring the cabin, hoping to find something valuable.
After a long and grueling search, Liu Yong expressed his frustration,
"After so much effort, you told me that there is nothing here. There are two cargo holds, one of which is full of muddy cloth, food, and other things. This one is even more straightforward, with nothing. Empty."
He looked closer at the rickety shelves and wished to kick them hard. Giving in to his frustration, he kicked one of the shelves, causing a loud "bang" sound to reverberate in the small space.
Despite the resistance from the seawater, the shelf still bore the strength of his kick.
The heavily corroded frame deformed slightly, and the silt on the ground became cloudy, forming a sharp contrast against the clear seawater.
But then, Liu Yong noticed something peculiar. He observed a turbid mass near the shelf, and it seemed like something was hidden beneath it. He couldn't quite make out its shape, but it appeared to be a cuboid-shaped object.
After waiting for a while, the turbidity gradually settled down, and he saw the thing more clearly. It was covered in thick silt, but it appeared to be some heavy metal.
With curiosity getting the better of him, Liu Yong reached out his hand to pick it up. As he held the object, he felt its weight and realized it was cumbersome. He couldn't shake off the familiarity with its importance as if it were made of gold.
"What is this?" he wondered aloud, examining the object more closely.
It was undoubtedly valuable, but he couldn't quite place what it was. As he continued to ponder its identity, a sense of excitement began to wash over him. Could this object be the key to unlocking the mystery they had been searching for?
