Chapter 28.2 – Regenerating is Harder Than I Thought
Nassaf-san draws a magic circle by awkwardly moving his thin fingers with fire on its tip.
It’s the compartment magic you’ll learn at school.
A moldy cigarette falls out of the glowing magic circle.
He clamps it in his mouth with his trembling fingers and lights it very slow.
He wasn’t able to light it properly and even dropped the cigarette a number of times.
When he finally lit the cigarette, he sucked it slowly and exhaled slowly.
Then, his thin shoulders trembled.
「Doctor, it’s moldy.」
「Shall I get you new ones?」
「Ah, I think something to in my eyes.」
I spent a good hour going to the store to buy cigarettes.
By the time I returned after a light meal, Nassaf-san, who’s all dressed up, was waiting for me.
「Doctor, you are a genius. I never thought you really can regenerate magic organ.」
「I’m glad it went well.」
「I’d like to give you something to thank you….」
「No, it’s okay. I only hope you’ll feel better soon.」
「Are you sure, doctor?」
「I am.」
My reward is three-digit gold coins.
Even I, cheapskate, would become a buddha.
A word of thanks for the sick is enough.
After three days of sleep, he looked younger. He looks like he’s only 30 years old.
Since his original age was 38, I guess mages look younger than commoners.
His wrinkled skin regained its luster, his back muscles stretched, and even his hair grew back.
Looking at him, I concluded that magic power is effective against thinning hair.
Someday, I’ll make a fortune selling hair-growing pills.
The next day, he left Torquiva under the cover of the night as per agreed.
Maybe no one would have noticed even if he left during daytime but that’s the rule.
A rule can’t be broken.
I also got my 100 gold coins.
With the gold I got, I bought a few buildings along the path of the tunnel of my magic crystal factory dungeon.
It’s hard to ventilate when the end of the tunnel is several kilometers away and it’s a long way to the rest stop so I got tired of it.
The number of my slaves is increasing and surprisingly, some slaves were being dispatched to those newly acquired buildings or businesses.
If we let those guys man-up those businesses, I’ll make more money.
Without the troublesome M&A, we can make a group of companies with obedient workers.
TN: Merger and Acquisition
Well, it’s not going to work out that way because it’s business but at worst, we can turn it into slave dispatch center or a restaurant or something.
After all, my family is a flour wholesaler so flour is the cheapest thing we can buy.
If the stock is cheap, I can move recklessly. I have a large number of slaves after all so I have a great supply of manpower in different fields.
I could even change moves depending on the best business situation.
I can grow my business that way and eventually, take over the economy of this city…..
No, it doesn’t have to be only this city but I could also control the logistics between the three cities of Torquiva, Torx, and Ruefuma.
Then, I’ll sell all the wheat from the vast plains of wheat fields inside sacks with Schenker’s logo!
After all, if you’re going to dream, make it big!
「Bonk」
I was lightly bonked on my head.
I seemed to have lost what I was thinking.
My fiancée, Laura-san, who accompanied me to the real estate agency, had a disgruntled look on her face beside me.
「You look evil.」
「Eh?」
「Those with face like that will stumble and die so make sure you’re steady. 」
「Did I look that bad?」
「You look like a bandit chief.」
That will completely ruin my refreshing image.
And I don’t know why but I don’t want to be a bandit chief even if it kills me.
It was sad that I could easily imagine myself as a savage bandit with black beard or something.
My goal is to have my very own theater.
Making money, I’ll do it in moderation….
AN: In chapter 10, Bandit Blackbeard was introduced. Sawadi-kun still doesn’t know the evil deeds of his ancestor.
