Chapter 28 - Same Room

Zhou Xing Chen helped Liang Jia, who was half-drunk, into the front passenger seat. The car engine roared as he sat himself in the driver's seat.

The street lights were dim, the shadows of the trees were swaying, and rows of shadows were flying behind.

Unconsciously, she took off her outer garments, revealing her smooth, white, tender shoulders and arms. Still, she could not quench the heat, and the depths of her heart seemed to be burning with a nameless flame. At this time, Liang Jia's mind was in a state of chaos.

Zhou Xing Chen felt that something wasn't right.

Zhou Xing Chen grabbed the steering wheel with one hand and Liang Jia's restless hands with the other.

As soon as they touched, Zhou Xing Chen's brow creased even more tightly. Her hands were abnormally hot …

Liang Jia felt that the hand that was grabbing her was abnormally cool. She unconsciously gripped it in her palm and rubbed it over and over, even pressing it against her own face.

Seeing her cute actions, a soft spot in Zhou Xing Chen's heart seemed to be moved. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, but in the next second, the smile on his face stiffened.

Liang Jia was not satisfied with the small size of her palm. She unconsciously climbed up her arm and touched Zhou Xing Chen's wound.

Zhou Xing Chen tried his best to withdraw his hand, but to no avail.

Liang Jia stretched out half of her body and wrapped her arms around Zhou Xing Chen, hugging him tightly.

"Liang Jia, you better sit tight!" Zhou Xing Chen said coldly.

Liang Jia opened her eyes slightly, staring at him in bewilderment. After staring for a while, she suddenly smiled, a smile as innocent as a lily blossoming before the unprepared Zhou Xing Chen's eyes. He couldn't help but be dazed for a moment, not even bothering to tell her to sit back down.

Liang Jia held Zhou Xing Chen in her arms, her body twisting involuntarily. Zhou Xing Chen's wounds were repeatedly being massaged, and a wave of pain washed over him. Zhou Xing Chen gritted his teeth, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Sometimes, the pain was too excruciating, and he couldn't help but think: Is this woman delirious, or is she taking revenge?

Zhou Xing Chen's heart was filled with contradictions. He was very happy that Liang Jia was hugging him affectionately and affectionately. His wounds were throbbing with pain from Liang Jia's pressure, and he felt depressed. He hoped that the road would be longer and longer, that it would go on forever, but he also hoped that he could get home soon and take care of the wound … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … ….

In the midst of the fast and slow speed, he finally saw the tall building.

Zhou Xing Chen pushed Liang Jia away from him, causing her to pout unhappily as she moaned.

Zhou Xing Chen couldn't help but pinch her cheek. After getting off the car, he half dragged Liang Jia off the bus.

He took out a blanket, wrapped it around Liang Jia, and threw her onto the bed. Then, he went to tend to his wounds.

Due to Liang Jia's interference, the wound hadn't fully healed. It was still bleeding, about an inch long. Zhou Xing Chen frowned as he bore the pain of rubbing the wound with alcohol. He clenched his teeth, and his entire body trembled.

After disinfection, it became much simpler. He applied the powder and the gauze wrapped around his body a few times. It could be considered to be done.

Zhou Xing Chen leaned back against the sofa. Suddenly, a gust of wind came from out of nowhere. He had just been drenched in sweat, but upon being blown by the wind, he couldn't help but shiver.

He suddenly thought of Liang Jia, who had been splashed with a bucket of ice water by him. Where was she lying now? If not for that, Zhou Xing Chen would definitely have caught a cold when he thought of Liang Jia's frail figure.

He went upstairs and carried Liang Jia to the bathroom. Originally, Liang Jia's clothes were soaked and faintly transparent, and even Zhou Xing Chen could feel the softness of her skin through her clothes. He placed a large vat of hot water on the table, stripped her clean, and put her in the bath.

The water was clear and transparent. Liang Jia's graceful and exquisite body was presented in front of his eyes without any concealment. Her exquisite waist, round and straight chest, long and fair legs, and also …

Zhou Xing Chen's breathing became rapid. He carefully wiped Liang Jia's body, every inch of it.

Liang Jia, who had been bathed in warm water, felt incredibly comfortable. With a low moan, her body unconsciously twisted and a circle of ripples appeared on her body.

A groan resounded in Zhou Xing Chen's mind, the last straw that broke the camel's back. He couldn't take it anymore and pounced on Liang Jia.

The next morning, the sky was still bright. Occasionally, there would be the crisp cry of a bird.

The heavy curtains were drawn and the room was a little dark.

Liang Jia stuck her head out from under the blanket, a lost look in her eyes. Suddenly, she could clearly see Zhou Xing Chen's enlarged face, holding her tightly in his arms.

What happened yesterday?

Her head hurt as she tried to recall, but she could only remember someone treating her to a drink. As for why she was in Zhou Xing Chen's arms now, she had no recollection of that at all.

Liang Jia was very calm. Although she was somewhat depressed, she knew that she was similar to a child adopted daughter-in-law of the Zhou family. Sooner or later, this sort of thing would happen.

She felt a throbbing pain in her lower body. She moved a little, but it was Zhou Xing Chen who woke her up.

"You're awake?" Zhou Xing Chen had just woken up when he saw her large, watery eyes looking at him. A tender affection filled his heart.

Liang Jia nodded, turning her back to Zhou Xing Chen. Burying her face into the blanket, she said in a muffled voice, "Put on some clothes first."

Zhou Xing Chen didn't answer, but Liang Jia heard the rustling of clothes. After Zhou Xing Chen was done putting on the clothes, Liang Jia quickly put on a robe for herself.

Zhou Xing Chen looked at her in amusement. "How do you feel?"

Liang Jia pursed her lips. "I don't know." Then, his gaze landed on the wound on Zhou Xing Chen's arm. He asked, "Your hand?"

She seemed to have no memory of what had happened after she got drunk.

Since that was the case, Zhou Xing Chen didn't want her to know what had happened afterwards, much less the fact that he had been cut in a fight over her …

"Later."

Liang Jia raised an eyebrow and said, "When I went to find you, you should have come back with me."

Zhou Xing Chen frowned as he looked at her. "You don't know anything."

"I know, I know that if you had come back with me, you wouldn't have gotten hurt." Liang Jia said as if it was only right.

Zhou Xing Chen was both amused and angry at the same time. This woman had almost fallen for someone else's trap, and yet she didn't know that he had saved her. Instead, she was blaming him.

He grabbed the back of Liang Jia's collar, and with half a push, pushed her out of the room. He pretended to be angry and said, "Go and prepare breakfast!"

Liang Jia rubbed her collar, which had been slightly messed up by him, and didn't mind. She directly walked toward the kitchen.

Because she had been severely treated by Liang Wenrui since she was young, Liang Jia was now basically a walking menu.

Considering that Zhou Xing Chen's hands were injured, it would be inappropriate for him to eat sweet, fishy, or oily food. Hence, she made a light chicken porridge and served it to him.
