Chapter 417: Chapter 386 Explanation_1
“How did I end up here? What place is this?”
Feng Que woke up from a stupor, gazing blankly at the canopy above.
At the moment, she was sprawled on the ground, her red dress covering a landscape of peaks and valleys. It was undeniable that she was a sister. Despite not dominating like Feng Luan, she had traits that distinguished her, grand enough to accommodate two hands.
The surrounding void was like smoke, constantly fluctuating, filled with a sense of unreality.
The only thing she remembered before losing consciousness was their team being ambushed. The opponents were overwhelmingly powerful, and before she even had a chance to retaliate, she was flung away. What followed was a churned tumble of spirit and consciousness, quickly eroding into unconsciousness.
“We’re inside my Magic Artifact’s space.”
A familiar, yet strangely foreign memory surfaced in Feng Que’s ear. She slowly turned her head and saw a familiar face.
Perhaps due to prolonged unconsciousness, Feng Que froze momentarily before suddenly remembering.
“Xu Mu? What are you doing here?”
Feng Que jerked upright, her incredulous gaze locked onto Xu Mu. Her torn garment slipped as she moved, revealing a glimpse of her radiant white body. Xu Mu naturally averted his gaze.
“That’s right! Why are you here? Weren’t you—didn’t you just say Magic Artifact?”
Feng Que suddenly looked down at her body. A pair of peak-like breasts straight-up blocked her view.
“Are you saying that I died and you’ve stored my soul in this Magic Artifact?”
She pinched her thighs, but there was no sensation of being a phantom. She also slapped her face, which felt pretty real.
“….”
Xu Mu was at a loss for words.
This woman’s imagination was too extensive, stretching too far.
“You’re not dead. We’re still inside the Xuan Yang Secret Realm. I rescued you from the Cluster Stars Sect squad. To prevent them from following, I brought you into this pocket dimension…”
“What? Are you mad? Let me go!”
Feng Que interrupted Xu Mu’s words forcefully, demanding, “You could never outrun the pursuit of the Cluster Stars Sect with just a few at the Golden Core Stage. When they catch up, we’ll all die!”
It wasn’t difficult to deduce from Feng Que’s words that she understood this operation as a joint venture between Xu Mu, Mo Wuxin, and Feng Luan.
This wasn’t surprising, as Feng Luan had always intended to facilitate her escape from the Cluster Stars Sect. Feng Que was aware of this.
However, Feng Que understood the might of the Cluster Stars Sect and, therefore, staunchly advised Feng Luan to avoid rash actions; they just had to live their lives as they were.
“Hurry up! While there’s still time to make a comeback, if we wait any longer, it’ll be too late!”
Apprehensive, Feng Que hastily sprung forward and grabbed Xu Mu, who was seated on the ground. Due to her loose robes and her tall stature, much of her body was exposed, including the deep valley reflected in her depths.
However, Xu Mu was worldly. This small event was not enough to shake him.
He placidly placed his hand on her arm—her skin was soft to the touch—and stopped her from her impulsive actions.
“Older sister, it sounds strange to address you that way, I’ll just call you Feng Que!”
Be it the actual age or cultivation level, he was far beyond her. Though it would be bearable for once or twice, it felt awkward to keep addressing her that way.
“Feng Que, calm down. Let me explain everything to you first.”
“There’s no time for explanation, it’ll be too late!”
Feng Que was still steadfast in her stubbornness, tugging at him relentlessly while her bosom swayed from side to side.
Xu Mu had no choice but to apply a Paralysis Skill on Feng Que, leaving her motionless.
“This is what happened. My cultivation level is not limited to the Foundation Establishment Stage, but the Nascent Soul Stage. Furthermore, Mo Wuxin is a woman, not a man…”
Xu Mu felt that it would be better to explain things clearly first, as her peculiar gaze was making him uncomfortable.
“The reason for my entering the Secret Realm was to rescue you. The restrictions on your body have already been lifted. However, due to the immense consumption of your foundation, Xuan Yang Holy Water is necessary for its reconstruction. The procedure does require your cooperation…”
Xu Mu recounted what he had already done and what he planned to do. Even though Feng Que remained immobile, her eyes revealed her shock at this information.
When Xu Mu lifted the Paralysis Skill from her body, it took her a good while to react.
“What did you say? You’re at the Nascent Soul Stage? Haven’t you had too much to drink?”
Clearly, it was onerous for her to believe.
After all, beings at the Nascent Soul Stage are far above her comprehension.
How could her pathetic brother-in-law suddenly ascend to such heights that she couldn’t even aspire to reach?
“That’s the truth, otherwise, how could I have rescued you from the team?” asked Xu Mu.
“Then the ambush… did you initiate that?” Feng Que queried, her face filled with disbelief.
“Who else could it be?”
“But how could that be possible!”
Feng Que was still struggling to come to terms.
“Alright, whether you accept it or not, the truth stands before you. Let’s first tend to your health.”
Xu Mu didn’t want to explain further. He desired to heal her expeditiously so that she could return to Feng Luan, thereby accomplishing Feng Luan’s wish.
However, she was visibly disoriented. Clearly unfit for treatment, he had to wait for her to be emotionally stable.
“You are a True Monarch in the Nascent Soul Stage, how is this possible? My brother-in-law is actually a True Monarch in the Nascent Soul Stage?”
Feng Que mumbled to herself for quite some time before grudgingly accepting this extraordinary reality.
“Why did you conceal your true cultivation level? And how did you cultivate to reach such prowess? As I recall, you’re not even two hundred years old yet!”
Even though her heart didn’t entirely believe, her mood stabilized, and she began to view Xu Mu with curiosity. Her bewitching eyes, like autumn waters, sized Xu Mu up and down as if trying to see through him.
Xu Mu had no choice but to reciprocate and explain every fine detail to her, or else getting her cooperation would become problematic.
Oh, well, ample time was at hand. It would be better to clarify everything once and for all.
Thus, Xu Mu briefly narrated his cultivation journey, of course, omitting certain crucial aspects.
“You have experienced so much!”
Feng Que’s eyes sparkled with an enchanting light, her face filled with shock.
If Xu Mu had been a stranger, then she might have only been flabbergasted by his experiences.
But Xu Mu was her brother-in-law. She used to deem him weak, and his sudden transformation into a gallant and domineering figure stirred enormous waves of feelings of incongritivity within her.
“Well, it’s not much!”
Perhaps due to his first-hand experiences, or perhaps too much time had passed, Xu Mu didn’t feel much.
“Xu Mu, you’re truly amazing!”
Feng Que swung Xu Mu’s arm enthusiastically.
“Am I?”
Xu Mu was somewhat puzzled seeing Feng Que’s fangirl appearance.
His wives, when they heard about his experiences, were mostly surprised and concerned. But they never overreacted like this.
“Of course! I admire you greatly!”
“…”
